Different embodiments include a device composed of an open cell container filled with solution; an open cell container with an attached sponge(s) and filled with solution; and a sponge that contains a cleaning solution in hydrant or dehydrated form. In some of the described embodiments, the device has a tear off membrane seal to maintain the solution within the cell prior to use. Another embodiment described has a bottle hanger attached to a cell. All embodiments maintain a process to absorb excess microwave energy.

What is claimed is: 1. An apparatus for cleaning a microwave oven interior, comprising: a wiping article for effecting a cleaning process; a cleaning solution comprising water and a fragrance; and an enclosure at least partially enclosing the cleaning solution and the wiping article, wherein the enclosure comprises a seal that upon severing at least a portion of the seal, the cleaning solution is enabled to be dispersed into the microwave oven interior. 2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the wiping article is selected from the group consisting of a sponge, a cloth, a soft towel, a paper towel, a shammy and combinations thereof. 3. The apparatus of claim 2, wherein the enclosure comprises at least one material selected from the group consisting of plastic, paper, cardboard, microwave-safe materials and combinations thereof. 4. The apparatus of claim 3, wherein the cleaning solution further comprises at least one component selected from the group consisting of a surfactant, an emulsifier, an antibacterial agent and combinations thereof. 5. The apparatus of claim 4, wherein the at least one component is a surfactant and the enclosure comprises plastic. 6. The apparatus of claim 5, wherein the fragrance contains a scent selected from the group consisting of lemon, citrus and pine. 7. The apparatus of claim 4, wherein the cleaning solution provides a heated cleaning liquid and a cleaning vapor upon being heated by a microwave oven. 8. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the enclosure comprises a plastic wrap, the wiping article is a soft towel and the cleaning solution further comprises a surfactant. 9. An apparatus for cleaning a microwave oven interior, comprising: a cleaning liquid comprising water and a fragrance for forming a cleaning vapor; an enclosure at least partially enclosing the cleaning liquid, wherein the enclosure contains a breakable seal to enable dispersion of the cleaning vapor; and a wiping article for effecting a cleaning process. 10. The apparatus of claim 9, wherein the wiping article is selected from the group consisting of a sponge, a cloth, a soft towel, a paper towel, a shammy and combinations thereof. 11. The apparatus of claim 10, wherein the enclosure is at least partially enclosing the wiping article and the enclosure comprises at least one material selected from the group consisting of plastic, paper, cardboard, microwave-safe materials and combinations thereof. 12. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein the enclosure comprises a plastic wrap, the wiping article is a soft towel and the cleaning liquid further comprises a surfactant. 13. The apparatus of claim 9, wherein the cleaning liquid further comprises at least one component selected from the group consisting of a surfactant, an emulsifier, an antibacterial agent and combinations thereof. 14. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the at least one component is a surfactant and the enclosure comprises plastic. 15. The apparatus of claim 14, wherein the fragrance contains a scent selected from the group consisting of lemon, citrus and pine. 16. A method for cleaning an interior surface of a microwave oven, comprising: placing a cleaning apparatus in the microwave oven, wherein the cleaning apparatus comprises a wiping article for effecting a cleaning process and an aqueous cleaning solution at least partially surrounded by an enclosure; heating the cleaning apparatus for a first time period to evaporate at least a portion of the aqueous cleaning solution while forming and emitting a vapor; cooling the cleaning apparatus for a second time period to hydrate a residue adhered on the interior surface of the microwave oven; and removing the residue from the interior surface with the wiping article. 17. The method of claim 16, wherein the wiping article is selected from the group consisting of a sponge, a cloth, a soft towel, a paper towel, a shammy and combinations thereof. 18. The method of claim 17, wherein the aqueous cleaning solution comprises a fragrance and at least one component selected from the group consisting of a surfactant, an emulsifier, an antibacterial agent and combinations thereof. 19. The method of claim 18, wherein the at least one component is a surfactant and the enclosure comprises plastic. 20. The method of claim 19, wherein the fragrance contains a scent selected from the group consisting of lemon, citrus and pine. 21. The method of claim 18, wherein the second time period is about 5 minutes. 22. The method of claim 16, wherein the enclosure comprises a plastic wrap, the wiping article is a soft towel and the aqueous cleaning solution comprises a fragrance and a surfactant. 23. A microwave-safe apparatus for cleaning an interior surface of a microwave oven, comprising: a plastic-containing wrap disposed at least partially around a wiping article moistened with an aqueous surfactant solution compatible with food preparation and comprising a fragrance, wherein the plastic-containing wrap contains a breakable seal to enable dispersion of a cleaning vapor. 24. A microwave-safe apparatus for cleaning an interior surface of a microwave oven, comprising: a cleaning solution for forming a cleaning vapor, wherein the cleaning solution contains at least water, a surfactant and a fragrance; a sealed enclosure containing the cleaning solution and a breakable seal for releasing the cleaning vapor; and a wiping article moistened with the cleaning solution and at least partially surrounded by the sealed enclosure. 25. A kit for cleaning an interior surface of a microwave oven, comprising: a cleaning apparatus comprising: an enclosure disposed at least partially around a wiping article moistened with a cleaning solution containing at least water, a surfactant and a fragrance, wherein the enclosure contains a breakable seal for releasing a cleaning vapor; and a set of directions comprising instructions to: place the cleaning apparatus into a microwave oven; heat the cleaning apparatus by operating the microwave oven for a first time period to form the cleaning vapor from the cleaning solution; cool the cleaning apparatus by ceasing to operate the microwave oven for a second time period while maintaining the microwave oven closed and loosening a residue adhered onto an interior surface of the microwave oven; and remove the residue from the interior surface with the wiping article. 26. The kit of claim 25, wherein the enclosure comprises a plastic wrap and the second time period lasts for about 5 minutes. 27. The kit of claim 25, wherein the breakable seal is positioned on a top surface of the enclosure and the set of directions further instruct to place the cleaning apparatus into the microwave oven with the top surface of the enclosure facing up. 28. A microwave-safe apparatus for cleaning an interior surface of a microwave oven, comprising: an enclosure containing a cleaning solution compatible with food preparation, wherein the cleaning solution contains at least water, a surfactant and a fragrance; a wiping article for effecting a cleaning process and at least partially surrounded by the enclosure; and a sealed surface of the enclosure that is severable to enable dispersion of a cleaning vapor. 29. The apparatus of claim 28, wherein the sealed surface is disposed on a top side of the enclosure.
