A device for sweeping a substantially horizontal surface is provided which includes a broom having a handle and a head, a valve disposed on the device, and a spray bar movably disposed on the head for directionally spraying a liquid that is supplied to the valve, wherein the valve regulates the pressure of liquid sprayed by the spray bar. The valve can be spring-loaded and/or hand-controlled. The device may include tubing between the valve and the spray bar, which tubing may be positioned internal to the handle or external to the handle. The handle may be used to convey liquid, such as that from a garden hose, from the valve to the spray bar. In an embodiment, the head may include water channels and the spray bar may be made integral to the head. The spray bar may oscillate and may take a variety of shapes, including elliptical, u-shaped and straight shapes. The device may further include a reservoir for holding an agent for treating the horizontal surface.

A device for sweeping across a substantially horizontal surface, the device comprising: a push broom having a broom head for sweeping across the horizontal surface and a handle attached thereto for pushing and conducting liquid to the broom head, the broom head comprising a block having a lower surface, the lower surface of the block including a plurality of bristles extending downward therefrom, the block further comprising an upper surface above the lower surface, a front surface and a back surface; a spray bar made of a molded plastic material connected to the block, the spray bar comprising a front surface and a back surface, the spray bar extending from a left side of the block to a right side of the block; a water channel positioned within the spray bar for receiving a flow of the liquid from the handle, the water channel having a front surface; a plurality of nozzles connected to the water channel for receiving the liquid and for expelling the liquid under pressure forward and downward ahead of the broom head and the plurality of bristles and onto the horizontal surface, each of said plurality of nozzles having a water inlet end and an opposite water outlet end, each of said water inlet end extending from the front surface of the water channel to said outlet end a distance behind the front surface of the spray bar each of said plurality of nozzles having a diameter; a plurality of recesses positioned behind the front surface of the spray bar and extending inwardly from behind the front surface of the spray bar to said distance and joining with said water outlet ends of the plurality of nozzles, wherein each of the plurality of recesses has a diameter greater than said diameter of each of the plurality of nozzles; and a valve connected to the handle for regulating the flow of the liquid through the handle. 2. The devices of claim 1, wherein the plurality of nozzles are made of a molded plastic material. 3. The device of claim 1, wherein the water channel structure and the plurality of nozzles are formed as one integrated unit by a molded plastic material. 4. The device of claim 1, wherein the plurality of nozzles have a generally circular shape. 5. The device of claim 1, wherein the broom handle comprises a grip section that provides an elongated handle section with a first handle diameter that is greater than a second handle diameter of a non-grip section of the broom handle. 6. The device of claim 1, further comprising an o-ring seal provided on at least one of the valve, the handle, and the broom head. 7. The device of claim 1, further comprising at least one of a quick connector and a snap connector provided on at least one of the valve and the handle, and the broom head. 8. The device of claim 1, wherein the plurality of nozzles have a slotted shape. 9. A device for sweeping across a substantially horizontal surface, the device comprising: a push broom having a broom head for sweeping across the horizontal surface and a handle attached thereto for pushing and conducting liquid to the broom head, a broom head component comprising a block having a lower surface, the lower surface of the block including a plurality of bristles extending downward therefrom, the block further comprising an upper surface above the lower surface, a front surface, and a back surface, and a cutout section inset within the block that extends continuously from a left side of the block to a right side of the block; a removably attachable spray bar, the spray bar comprising a front surface and a back surface, wherein the spray bar is substantially sized to fit and positioned within the block cutout section, wherein the spray bar provides a water channel having a front surface, the water channel receiving a flow of the liquid from the handle; a plurality of nozzles connected to the water channel for receiving the liquid and for expelling the liquid under pressure forward and downward ahead of the broom head and the plurality of bristles and onto the horizontal surface, each of said plurality of nozzles having a water inlet end and an opposite water outlet end, each of said water inlet end extending from the front surface of the water channel to said outlet end a distance behind the front surface of the spray bar each of said plurality of nozzles having a diameter; a plurality of recesses formed behind the front surface of the spray bar and extending inwardly from behind the front surface of the spray bar to said distance and joining with said water outlet ends of the plurality of nozzles, wherein each of the plurality of recesses has a diameter greater than said diameter of each of the plurality of nozzles; and a value connected to the handle for regulating the flow of the liquid through the handle. 10. The device of claim 9, wherein the spray bar and the plurality of nozzles are made of a molded plastic material. 11. The device of claim 9, wherein the spray bar and the plurality of nozzles are made of a molded plastic material as one integrated unit. 12. The device of claim 9, further comprising an o-ring seal provided on at least one of the valve, the handle, the broom head, and the spray bar. 13. The device of claim 9, further comprising at least one of a quick connector and a snap connector provided on at least one of the valve and the handle, the broom head, and the spray bar. 14. The device of claim 9, wherein the broom handle comprises a grip section that provides an elongated handle section with a first handle diameter that is greater than a second handle diameter of a non-grip section of the broom handle. 15. The device of claim 9, wherein the plurality of nozzles are connected to the front surface of the spray bar, wherein the front surface of the spray bar is positioned at an angle to a front vertical axis of the block. 16. The device of claim 9, wherein the plurality of nozzles have a slotted shape. 17. The device of claim 9, wherein the plurality of nozzles have a generally circular shape. 18. A device for sweeping across a substantially horizontal surface, the device comprising: a push broom having a broom head for sweeping across the horizontal surface and a handle attached thereto for pushing and conducting liquid to the broom head, the broom head comprising a block with a lower surface, the lower surface including a plurality of bristles extending downward therefrom and an upper surface above the lower surface and a back surface; a spray bar comprising front, back, rear, top, bottom, left and right planar surfaces attached to the block wherein the spray bar extends from a left side of the block to a right side of the block, and where the planar surfaces form a water channel for receiving a flow of the liquid from the handle; a plurality of nozzles connected to the water channel for receiving the liquid and for expelling the liquid under pressure forward and downward ahead of the broom head and the plurality of bristles and onto the horizontal surface, each of said plurality of nozzles having a water inlet end and an opposite water outlet end, each of said water inlet end extending from the front surface of the water channel to said outlet end a distance behind the front surface of the spray bar each of said plurality of nozzles having a diameter; a plurality of recesses formed behind the front surface of the spray bar and extending inwardly from behind the front surface of the spray bar to said distance and joining with said water outlet ends of the plurality of nozzles, wherein each of the plurality of recesses has a diameter greater than said diameter of each of the plurality of nozzles; and a valve connected to the handle for regulating the flow of the liquid through the handle. 19. The device of claim 18, wherein the spray bar and the plurality of nozzles are made of a molded plastic material. 20. The device of claim 18, wherein the spray bar and the plurality of nozzles are made of a molded plastic material as one integrated unit. 21. The device of claim 18, wherein the front planar surface of the spray bar is at an angle with respect to a front vertical axis of the block. 22. The device of claim 18, wherein the plurality of nozzles have a generally circular shape. 23. The device of claim 18, wherein the spray bar is positioned on the top of the block. 24. The device of claim 18, further comprising an o-ring seal provided on at least one of the valve, the handle, and the broom head. 25. The device of claim 18, further comprising at least one of a quick connector and a snap connector provided on at least one of the valve, the handle, and the broom head. 26. The device of claim 18, wherein the front planar surface of the spray bar is at an angle with respect. 27. The device of claim 18, wherein the plurality of nozzles have a slotted shape. 28. A device for sweeping across a substantially horizontal surface, the device comprising: a push broom having a broom head for sweeping across the horizontal surface and a handle attached thereto for pushing and conducting liquid to the broom head, the broom head comprising a block with a lower surface, the lower surface including a plurality of bristles extending downward therefrom, the broom head further comprising an upper surface above the lower surface and a back surface; a spray bar made of a molded plastic material connected to the block, the spray bar comprising a front surface and a back surface, the spray bar extending from a left side of the block to a right side of the block; a water channel positioned within the spray bar for allowing the liquid to flow from the handle, the water channel having a front surface; a plurality of nozzles connected to the water channel for receiving a flow of the liquid from the handle and for expelling the liquid under pressure forward and downward ahead of the broom head and the plurality of bristles and onto the horizontal surface, each of said plurality of nozzles having a water inlet end and an opposite water outlet end, each of said water inlet end extending from the front surface of the water channel to said outlet end a distance behind the front surface of the spray bar each of said plurality of nozzles having a diameter; a plurality of recesses formed behind the front surface of the spray bar and extending inwardly from behind the front surface of the spray bar to said distance and joining with said water outlet ends of the plurality of nozzles, wherein each of the plurality of recesses have a diameter greater than said diameter of each of the plurality of nozzles; an assembly comprising a liquid pump and a gasoline engine that is mounted to the broom handle; an engine control connected to the handle for regulating the gasoline engine; and a valve control connected to the handle for regulating the flow of the liquid through the handle. 29. The device of claim 28, wherein a valve is positioned on the handle, wherein the valve is operated by the valve control. 30. The device of claim 28, wherein a valve is positioned on the assembly, wherein the valve is operated by the valve control. 31. The device of claim 28, further comprising an o-ring seal provided on at least one of the valve, the handle, and the broom head. 32. The device of claim 28, further comprising at least one of a quick connector and a snap connector provided on at least one of the valve, the handle, and the broom head. 33. The device of claim 28, wherein the plurality of nozzles are made of a molded plastic material. 34. The device of claim 28, wherein the water channel structure and the plurality of nozzles are formed as one integrated unit by a molded plastic material. 35. The device of claim 28, wherein the water channel structure is made of a molded plastic material. 36. A device for sweeping across a substantially horizontal surface, the device comprising: a push broom having a broom head for sweeping across the horizontal surface and a handle attached thereto for pushing and conducting liquid to the broom head, the broom head comprising a block with a lower surface, the lower surface including a plurality of bristles extending downward therefrom, the broom head further comprising an upper surface above the lower and a back surface; a spray bar made of a molded plastic material connected to the block, the spray bar comprising a front surface and a back surface, the spray bar extending from a left side of the block to a right side of the block; a water channel positioned within the spray bar for receiving a flow of the liquid from the handle, the water channel having a front surface; a plurality of nozzles connected to the water channel for receiving the liquid and for expelling the liquid under pressure forward and downward ahead of the broom head and the plurality of bristles and onto the horizontal surface, each of said plurality of nozzles having a water inlet end and an opposite water outlet end, each of said water inlet end extending from the front surface of the water channel to said outlet end a distance behind the front surface of the spray bar each of said plurality of nozzles having a diameter; a plurality of recesses formed behind the front surface of the spray bar and extending inwardly from behind the front surface of the spray bar to said distance and joining with said water outlet ends of the plurality of nozzles, wherein each of the plurality of recesses have a diameter great than said diameter of each of the plurality of nozzles; a backpack; an assembly comprising a liquid pump and gasoline engine mounted to the backpack; a connecting hose for connecting the assembly to the broom handle; an engine control connected to the handle for regulating the gasoline engine; and a valve control connected to the handle for regulating the flow of the liquid through the handle. 37. The device of claim 36, further comprising a valve positioned on the handle, wherein the valve is operated by the valve control. 38. The device of claim 36, further comprising a valve positioned on the assembly, wherein the valve is operated by the valve control. 39. The device of claim 36, further comprising an o-ring seal provided on at least one of the valve, the handle, and the broom head. 40. The device of claim 36, further comprising at least one of a quick connector and a snap connector provided on at least one of the valve, the handle, and the broom head. 41. The device of claim 36, wherein the plurality of nozzles are made of a molded plastic material. 42. The device of claim 36, wherein the water channel structure and the plurality of nozzles are formed as one integrated unit by a molded plastic material. 43. The device of claim 36, wherein the water channel structure is made of a molded plastic material.
