The present invention provides provide a dosage form that prevents misuse of the medicament contained within. The dosage form contains an inactivating substance in combination with the medicament, wherein the two substances are separated by a permeable or semi-permeable partition. The partition becomes impermeable upon activation by a medical professional, thereby effectively sequestering the inactivating substance from the medicament and allowing for the intended administration of the medicament to the patient.
