The invention claimed is: 1. A sports pole comprising: an upper end portion; a grip handle affixed on said upper end portion, said grip handle comprising: a peripheral wall having an inner side wall, an outer side wall, and a rear surface; a wrist strap having an inner portion and an outer portion connected by an upper zone, each of said inner and outer portions being fastened to said grip handle; a link linking the upper zone of the wrist strap to the grip handle; the inner portion of the wrist strap being fastened to the grip handle on the inner side wall thereof, and the outer portion of the wrist strap being fastened to the grip handle on the outer side wall thereof. 2. A sports pole according to claim 1, wherein: said upper zone of the wrist strap is adapted to extend over a wrist of a user when the wrist strap is worn by the user; said link extends from said upper zone of the wrist strap to the peripheral wall of the grip handle. 3. A sports pole according to claim 1, wherein: the link is fixedly attached to the wrist strap. 4. A sports pole according to claim 1, wherein: the link is fixed to the wrist strap with stitches. 5. A sports pole according to claim 1, wherein: the link is attached to the wrist strap to be detached and repositioned. 6. A sports pole according to claim 1, wherein: the link is elastic. 7. A sports pole according to claim 1, wherein: the link is attached to a rear of the peripheral wall of the grip handle. 8. A sports pole according to claim 1, wherein: the wrist strap is attached to the peripheral wall of the grip handle to be substantially pivotable with respect to the grip handle. 9. A sports pole according to claim 8, wherein: the wrist strap is attached to the handle by a pivotal attachment mechanism. 10. A sports pole according to claim 9, wherein: the wrist strap has a flexible portion, said flexible portion being deformable so that the wrist strap is substantially pivotable with respect to the grip handle via deformation of said flexible portion of the wrist strap. 11. A sports pole according to claim 10, wherein: the wrist strap is constituted by a flexible strap. 12. A sports pole according to claim 1, wherein: said peripheral wall extends along an axis curved upwardly and away from the user, as the grip handle is held during a sports activity. 13. A sports pole according to claim 1, wherein: said peripheral wall is progressively enlarged in a direction extending upwardly. 14. A sports pole according to claim 1, wherein: the wrist strap comprises a flexible strap. 15. A sports pole comprising: an upper end portion; a grip handle mounted upon said upper end portion, said grip handle comprising: with said grip handle extending upright and in front of a user, said handle comprising a forward side, a rearward side, a thumb side, and an index finger side; an exterior comprising peripheral surface areas extending around said handle, said peripheral surface areas comprising a thumb-side surface, a forward-side surface, an index-finger-side surface, and a rearward-side surface; a first strap portion, a second strap portion, and an intermediate strap portion; said first strap portion extending from said thumb-side surface of said handle to said intermediate strap portion; said second strap portion extending from said index-finger-side surface of said handle to said intermediate strap portion; a link extending from said intermediate strap portion to said exterior of the grip handle; at said exterior of said grip handle, said link is positioned between said first strap portion and said second strap portion. 16. A sports pole according to claim 15, wherein: at said exterior of said grip handle, said first strap portion extends from said link in a first direction around the handle and said second strap portion extends from said link in a second direction around said handle. 17. A sports pole according to claim 15, wherein: at said exterior of said grip handle, said link is spaced from said first strap portion and spaced from said second strap portion. 18. A sports pole according to claim 15, wherein: at said exterior of said grip handle, said link is fixed to said first strap portion and fixed to said second strap portion. 19. A sports pole according to claim 15, wherein: said link is fixed to said first strap portion and fixed to said second strap portion by means of stitching. 20. A sports pole according to claim 15, wherein: said link comprises a flexible strap. 21. A sports pole according to claim 15, wherein: said first strap portion, said second strap portion, said link, and said intermediate strap portion comprise a strap assembly. 22. A sports pole according to claim 15, wherein: said first strap portion, said second strap portion, said link, and said intermediate strap portion comprise a strap assembly integrated into the grip handle by means of said first strap portion, said second strap portion, and said link being fastened to said grip handle. 23. A sports pole according to claim 15, wherein: said first strap portion, said second strap portion, and said link of said strap assembly are fastened to said grip handle by any of screws, rivets, and stitching. 24. A sports pole according to claim 15, wherein: at least one of said first and second strap portions is adapted to extend across a palm of a hand of the user. 25. A sports pole according to claim 15, wherein: said link is flexible. 26. A sports pole according to claim 15, wherein: said intermediate strap portion is an upper strap zone. 27. A sports pole according to claim 15, wherein: said first strap portion, said second strap portion, said link, and said intermediate strap portion comprise a wrist strap assembly; when worn by the user, said intermediate strap portion of said wrist strap assembly extends across an upper zone of a wrist of the user. 28. A sports pole according to claim 27, wherein: each of said first strap portion, said second strap portion, said link, and said intermediate strap portion comprises a respective flexible strap portion. 29. A sports pole according to claim 15, wherein: said link is permanently affixed to said intermediate strap portion. 30. A sports pole according to claim 15, wherein: said link is permanently affixed to said intermediate strap portion by means of stitching. 31. A sports pole according to claim 15, wherein: said link is releaseably attached to said intermediate strap portion. 32. A sports pole according to claim 15, wherein: said link is releaseably attached to said intermediate strap portion by means of a self-gripping mechanism. 33. A sports pole according to claim 15, wherein: said first and second wrist strap portions are pivotally mounted to thumb-side surface and to the index-finger-side surface of said handle, respectively, by means of respective fastening mechanisms. 34. A sports pole according to claim 15, wherein: said first and second wrist strap portions are flexible; said first and second wrist strap portions are pivotally mounted to thumb-side surface and to the index-finger-side surface of said handle, respectively, by means of respective deformations of said first and second wrist strap portions.
