In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, the collapsible funnel may be provided with a screen for filtering fluids placed into the funnel. In accordance with another aspect of the invention, a funnel is provided which includes multiple adjacent panels and a glue strip adjacent to one end, which enables the funnel to be manufactured with conventional process machines.

What is claimed and desired to be secured by Letters Patent of the United States is: 1. A method for making a collapsible funnel comprising the steps of: (a) providing at least one irregularly shaped funnel blank having a thickness; (b) folding said irregularly shaped funnel blank to form at least three (3) fold lines therein, defining a plurality of panels including two end panels and a plurality of header cards; (c) forming a glue strip adjacent one end of said two end panels (d) folding said irregularly shaped funnel blank along said at least three (3) fold lines; and (e) attaching said glue strip to the other of said two end panels to form a collapsible funnel uniformly four thicknesses thick in a ellapsed position and having a fluid inlet opening and a fluid outlet opening in an expanded position. 2. The method as recited in claim 1 wherein step (b) comprises feeding said at least one irregularly shaped funnel blank into a conventional folder gluer machine further configured to stack a plurality of collapsed funnels and affixing said collapsed funnels together. 3. The method as recited in claim 1 further including the step of perforating said plurality of header cards so that said header cards are detachable. 4. The method as recited in claim 1, wherein said plurality of header cards are two header cards that are provided on adjacent panels and said funnel is configured so that said header cards are in contact with one another when said funnel is in a collapsed position.
