A sport board and a shock absorption system therefor, includes a glide board used in snow and aquatic sports or a roller or skate board, a rocker platform mounted in a seesaw fashion atop the sport board, whereupon opposite ends of the rocker platform may alternately move towards and away from the sport board, and a shock absorbing cushion disposed in respective spaces formed between the forward end portions and the rearward end portions of the sport board and platform. The cushions inhibit rocking of the rocker platform, absorb impact, and create a cushion sufficient for the rider to exert extreme pressures for balance, control, and maneuvers on any given terrain conditions. A hinge connection allows the upper rocker platform move in a teeter-totter fashion as well as to move vertically and/or tilt relative to the lower platform.

Having, thus, described the invention what is claimed is: 1. A sport board, comprising: a longitudinally extending lower platform having a center section, a forward end section, and a rearward end section, a longitudinally extending upper rocker platform having an upper surface for supporting both feet of a user, said rocker platform having a center section, a forward end section, and a rearward end section, binding structure atop the upper surface of said rocker platform for securing the feet of the user to the rocker platform, means for hingedly connecting the center sections together, said means for hingedly connecting comprising upper and lower hinge members, respectively, affixed to the upper rocker platform and the lower platform, each hinge member including a pair of laterally spaced flanges and each flange including an aperture, and a hinge pin extending through the apertures and connecting the hinge members and respective platforms together, the apertures in the flanges of one said hinge member being elongated and oblong in shape and the long sides of the oblong aperture being disposed vertically and perpendicular to the platform with which the hinge member is associated, the hinge pin connection enabling the rocker platform to move vertically up and down, the opposite sides of the rocker platform to tilt relative to the lower platform, and the forward and rearward end sections of the rocker platform to pivot towards and away from the corresponding end sections of the lower platform in a teeter totter manner, first and second spaces, respectively, defined on opposite longitudinal sides of the hinge pin connection, the spaces being formed between the forward and rearward end sections of the upper rocker platform and the upper surface of the lower rocker platform, and first and second compressible members, respectively, disposed in said first and second spaces, said compressible members cushioning the landing of the rider by resisting pivoting and closing movement of the rocker platform towards the lower platform. 2. The sport board as claimed in claim 1, wherein the apertures in the flanges of each said hinge member are elongated and oblong in shape with the long sides of the oblong shapes being disposed vertically and generally perpendicular to the platform with which the hinge member is associated. 3. The sport board as claimed in claim 2, wherein each hinge member comprises a plurality of second flanges each including an aperture, the second flanges of each hinge member extending in laterally spaced relation between the opposite longitudinal sides of the board from which the hinge member depends, and wherein the flanges from the upper and lower platforms interdigitate with one another and the apertures align with one another and receive the hinge pin. 4. The sport board as claimed in claim 1, wherein the sport board is an aquatic board. 5. The sport board as claimed in claim 1, wherein the sport board is a snowboard. 6. The sport board as claimed in claim 1, wherein at least one said platform is formed from layers of material selected from the group consisting of wood, aluminum, fiberglass, plastic, and carbon fiber. 7. A sport board, comprising: a longitudinally elongated lower platform having a center section, a forward end section, and a rearward end section, a longitudinally elongated upper rocker platform having a center section, a forward end section, a rearward end section, and an upper surface for supporting both feet of a user, binding structure atop the upper surface of said rocker platform for securing both feet of the rider to the rocker platform, a hinge structure for hingedly connecting the center sections of the platforms to one another in a manner that, substantially simultaneously, allows relative vertical motion between the center sections of the platforms, lateral tilting of the rocker platform with respect to the lower platform, and longitudinal teeter-totter tilting of the rocker platform with respect to the lower platform, wherein said hinge structure includes a pair of first flanges and a pair of second flanges, the first flanges extending from opposite lateral sides of said lower platform and each said first flange having a first aperture, the second flanges extending from opposite lateral sides of said rocker platform and each said second flange having a second aperture, respective of the first and second flanges and apertures thereof being juxtaposed with one another and the flanges joined to one another by a pin disposed in the apertures in a manner to permit pivoting of the rocker platform relative to the lower platform, and wherein closable first and second spaces are defined, respectively, between the forward and rearward end sections of the platforms and on opposite sides of the hinge structure, and a first and a second compressible member is disposed, respectively, in said first space and said second space, said compressible members resisting closing movement of the end sections towards one another. 8. The sport board as claimed in claim 7, wherein said platforms are generally symmetrically disposed along a central longitudinal axis and include, respectively, a pair of lateral sides extending longitudinally, and top and bottom surfaces, said hinge structure forms a pivot axis that is located in the center of the rocker platform and extends in a direction generally transverse to said central longitudinal axis, and the forward and rearward end sections and lateral sides of the upper platform are generally in juxtaposed relation with the lower platform when the center sections of the platforms are hingedly connected to one another. 9. The sport board as claimed in claim 7, wherein the compressible member comprises an air bladder. 10. The sport board as claimed in claim 7, wherein, the compressible member comprises a body of compressible foam. 11. The sport board as claimed in claim 7, wherein the compressible member comprises a body of elastomeric material. 12. The sport board as claimed in claim 7 wherein each of the apertures in one respective pair of flanges is oval with the long axis thereof generally vertical to the platform to permit the hinge pin in each respective pair of joined flanges to move vertically relative to the junction and the rocker panel to move vertically, tilt laterally and tilt longitudinally relative to the lower platform.
