A channel can be formed between the fender panels to facilitate passage of fluid along a predetermined pathway. A seat includes a compression surface for sandwiching the fender assembly with respect to the frame. Front and rear fender assemblies can be attached to the frame by a midpoint fastener passing through respective apertures in each of the front and rear fender assemblies, through a grommet, and into the frame. A stay assembly attaches a mudguard to the fender assembly, and can involve a swivel clip. Methods are also provided.

What is claimed is: 1. A straddle-type vehicle comprising: a frame; a straddle-type seat supported with respect to the frame, the straddle-type seat being configured to be straddled by legs of an operator of the straddle-type vehicle; a first wheel supported with respect to the frame; a second wheel supported with respect to the frame and laterally spaced from the first wheel; a third wheel supported with respect to the frame, the third wheel being longitudinally spaced from the first wheel and the second wheel; a first fender panel attached to the frame and extending at least partially over each of the first wheel and the second wheel; and a second fender panel at least partially covering the first fender panel and extending at least partially over each of the first wheel and the second wheel; wherein the first fender panel and the second fender panel are longitudinally spaced from the third wheel. 2. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 1 wherein each of the first fender panel and the second fender panel are formed from plastic. 3. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 1 wherein the first fender panel and the second fender panel have differing colors. 4. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 1 wherein the second fender panel is removably attached to at least one of the frame and the first fender panel. 5. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 1 wherein a portion of the second fender panel extends beyond a portion of an outer perimeter of the first fender panel. 6. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 1 wherein a portion of the first fender panel extends beyond a portion of an outer perimeter of the second fender panel. 7. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 1 wherein each of the first wheel and the second wheel comprises a rear wheel, the third wheel comprises a front wheel, the first fender panel comprises a lower rear fender panel and the second fender panel comprises an upper rear fender panel. 8. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 1 further comprising: a left side and a right side; wherein each of the first fender panel and the second fender panel continuously extends from the left side to the right side. 9. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 1 wherein the first fender panel has a first top surface and a first bottom surface, a portion of the first top surface provides a decorative body surface, and at least a portion of the first bottom surface is positioned for receiving contact from debris thrown by each of the first wheel and the second wheel. 10. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 9 wherein the second fender panel has a second top surface and a second bottom surface, at least a portion of the second top surface provides a decorative body surface, and a portion of the second bottom surface is positioned for receiving contact from debris thrown by each of the first wheel and the second wheel. 11. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 1 wherein the first fender panel contacts the second fender panel. 12. A straddle-type vehicle comprising: a frame; a left side and a right side; a straddle-type seat supported with respect to the frame, the straddle-type seat being configured to be straddled by legs of an operator of the straddle-type vehicle; a plurality of wheels supported with respect to the frame; a first panel fastened to the frame and having a first top surface and a first bottom surface, wherein a portion of the first top surface provides a decorative body surface, wherein the first panel continuously extends from the left side to the right side and extends over at least two of said wheels, and wherein the first bottom surface is positioned to receive contact from debris thrown by said at least two of said wheels; and a second panel fastened to the first panel and the frame and having a second top surface and a second bottom surface, wherein at least a portion of the second top surface provides a decorative body surface, and wherein a portion of the second bottom surface is adjacent to at least a portion at the first top surface and another portion of the second bottom surface is positioned to receive contact from debris thrown by at least one of said at least two of said wheels. 13. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 12 wherein a portion of the second panel extends beyond a portion of an outer perimeter of the first panel. 14. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 12 wherein the first panel and the second panel have differing colors. 15. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 12 wherein the plurality of wheels comprises front wheels and rear wheels, and the first panel and the second panel together provide a fender for the rear wheels. 16. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 12 wherein the second panel continuously extends from the left side to the right side and extends over said at least two of said wheels. 17. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 16, wherein the second bottom surface is positioned to receive contact from debris thrown by said at least two of said wheels. 18. A straddle-type vehicle comprising: a frame; a straddle-type seat supported with respect to the frame, the straddle-type seat being configured to be straddled by legs of an operator of the straddle-type vehicle; a left wheel and a right wheel each supported with respect to the frame; a first fender panel attached to the frame and extending at least partially over each of the left wheel and the right wheel, the first fender panel having a first top surface and a first bottom surface, wherein the first bottom surface is positioned to receive contact from debris thrown by at least one of the left and right wheels; and a second fender panel attached with respect to the first fender panel and having a second top surface and a second bottom surface, wherein a portion of the second bottom surface is adjacent to at least a portion of the first top surface and another portion of the second bottom surface is positioned to receive contact from debris thrown by at least one of the left and right wheels; wherein at least a portion of an outer perimeter of the second fender panel is laterally inward of an outer perimeter of the first fender panel. 19. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 18 wherein a portion of the first top surface provides a decorative body surface, and at least a portion of the second top surface provides a decorative body surface. 20. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 18 wherein each of the first fender panel and the second fender panel are formed from plastic. 21. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 18 wherein the first fender panel and the second fender panel have differing colors. 22. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 18 wherein the second tender panel is removably attached to at least one of the frame and the first fender panel. 23. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 18 wherein the second fender panel is fastened to the first fender panel. 24. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 18 wherein the first fender panel is fastened to the frame and the second fender panel is fastened to the first fender panel and to the frame. 25. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 18 further comprising: a left side and a right side; wherein at least one of the first fender panel and the second fender panel continuously extends from the left side to the right side. 26. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 18 wherein the first fender panel contacts the second fender panel. 27. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 1 wherein each of the first wheel and the second wheel comprises a front wheel, the third wheel comprises a rear wheel, the first fender panel comprises a lower front fender panel and the second fender panel comprises an upper front fender panel. 28. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 1, wherein: the first fender panel comprises a first portion that interfaces with the straddle-type seat; and the second fender panel comprises a second portion that interfaces with the straddle-type seat. 29. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 28, wherein: the first portion of the first fender panel comprises a left lower inside edge portion and a right lower inside edge portion; the second portion of the second fender panel comprises a left upper inside edge portion and a right upper inside edge portion. 30. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 29, wherein: each of the left lower inside edge portion, the right lower inside edge portion, the left upper inside edge portion, and the right upper inside edge portion is sandwiched between the straddle-type seat and the frame. 31. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 12, wherein: the first panel comprises a first portion that interfaces with the straddle-type seat; and the second panel comprises a second portion that interfaces with the straddle-type seat. 32. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 31, wherein: the first portion of the first panel comprises a left lower inside edge portion and a right lower inside edge portion; the second portion of the second panel comprises a left upper inside edge portion and a right upper inside edge portion. 33. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 32, wherein: each of the left lower inside edge portion, the right lower inside edge portion, the left upper inside edge portion, and the right upper inside edge portion is sandwiched between the straddle-type seat and the frame. 34. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 18, wherein: the first fender panel comprises a first portion that interfaces with the straddle-type seat; and the second fender panel comprises a second portion that interfaces with the straddle-type seat. 35. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 34, wherein: the first portion of the first fender panel comprises a left lower inside edge portion and a right lower inside edge portion; the second portion of the second fender panel comprises a left upper inside edge portion and a right upper inside edge portion. 36. The straddle-type vehicle of claim 35, wherein: each of the left lower inside edge portion, the right lower inside edge portion, the left upper inside edge portion, and the right upper inside edge portion is sandwiched between the straddle-type seat and the frame.
