The one or more catalysts may include a first and a second catalyst. The crude product is a liquid mixture at 25° C. and 0.101 MPa and has a total content of alkali metal, and alkaline-earth metal, in metal salts of organic acids of at most 90% of the total content of alkali metal, and alkaline-earth metal, in metal salts of organic acids of the crude feed. One or more other properties of the crude product may be changed by at least 10% relative to the respective properties of the crude feed.

A method of producing a crude product, comprising: contacting a crude feed with one or more catalysts to produce a total product that includes the crude product, wherein the crude product is a liquid mixture at 25° C. and 0.101 MPa, the crude feed comprising one or more alkali metal salts of one or more organic acids, one or more alkaline-earth metal salts of one or more organic acids, or mixtures thereof, the crude feed having, per gram of crude feed, a total content of alkali metal, and alkaline-earth metal, in metal salts of organic acids of at least 0.00001 grams, and the one or more catalysts comprising: a first catalyst, the first catalyst having, per gram of first catalyst, from about 0.0001 grams to about 0.06 grams, of: one or more metals from Column 6 of the Periodic Table, one or more compounds of one or more metals from Column 6 of the Periodic Table, calculated as weight of metal, or mixtures thereof; and a second catalyst, the second catalyst having, per gram of second catalyst, at least 0.02 grams of: one or more metals from Column 6 of the Periodic Table, one or more compounds of one or more metals from Column 6 of the Periodic Table, calculated as weight of metal, or mixtures thereof; and wherein the first and second catalysts have a pore size distribution with a median pore diameter in the range of 60-300 Å; and controlling contacting conditions such that the crude product has a total content of alkali metal, and alkaline-earth metal, in metal salts of organic acids of at most 90% of the content of alkali metal, and alkaline-earth metal, in metal salts of organic acids in the crude feed, wherein content of alkali metal, and alkaline-earth metal, in metal salts of organic acids is as determined by ASTM Method D1318. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the crude feed is contacted with the second catalyst subsequent to contact with the first catalyst. 3. The method of claim 1, wherein a total content of Column 6 metal(s) in the second catalyst, per gram of second catalyst, is equal to or greater than the total content of Column 6 metal(s) in the first catalyst. 4. The method of claim 1, wherein the total content of alkali metal, and alkaline-earth metal, in metal salts of organic acids in the crude product is at most 50% of the content of alkali metal, and alkaline-earth metal, in metal salts of organic acids in the crude feed. 5. The method of claim 1, wherein the total content of alkali metal, and alkaline-earth metal, in metal salts of organic acids in the crude product is in a range from about 1% to about 80% of the content of alkali metal, and alkaline-earth metal, in metal salts of organic acids in the crude feed. 6. The method of claim 1, wherein the crude product has from about 0.0000001 grams to about 0.00005 grams of alkali metal, and alkaline-earth metal, in metal salts of organic acids per gram of crude product. 7. The method of claim 1, wherein at least one of the Column 6 metals of the first and/or second catalyst is molybdenum. 8. The method of claim 1, wherein at least one of the Column 6 metals of the first and/or second catalyst is tungsten. 9. The method of claim 1, wherein the one or more metals of the first and/or second catalyst comprise in addition one or more metals from Columns 7-10 of the Periodic Table, one or more compounds of one or more metals from Columns 7-10 of the Periodic Table, or mixtures thereof. 10. The method of claim 1, wherein the first catalyst and/or second catalyst has a pore size distribution with a median pore diameter of at least 60 Å, as determined by ASTM Method D4284. 11. The method of claim 1, wherein the first catalyst and/or second catalyst has a pore size distribution with a median pore diameter of at least 90 Å, as determined by ASTM Method D4284. 12. The method of claim 1, wherein the first catalyst and/or second catalyst has a pore size distribution with a median pore diameter of at least 180 Å, as determined by ASTM Method D4284. 13. The method of claim 1, wherein the contacting takes place in the presence of a hydrogen source. 14. The method of claim 1, wherein the crude feed is contacted in a contacting zone that is on or coupled to an offshore facility. 15. The method of claim 1, wherein the method further comprises combining the crude product with a crude that is the same as or different from the crude feed to form a blend suitable for transportation and/or treatment facilities. 16. The method of claim 1, wherein the method further comprises processing the crude product to produce transportation fuel. 17. A crude product obtainable by a method comprising: contacting a crude feed with one or more catalysts to produce a total product that includes the crude product, wherein the crude product is a liquid mixture at 25° C. and 0.101 MPa, the crude feed comprising one or more alkali metal salts of one or more organic acids, one or more alkaline-earth metal salts of one or more organic acids, or mixtures thereof, the crude feed having, per gram of crude feed, a total content of alkali metal, and alkaline-earth metal, in metal salts of organic acids of at least 0.00001 grams, and the one or more catalysts comprising: a first catalyst, the first catalyst having, per gram of first catalyst, from about 0.0001 grams to about 0.06 grams, of: one or more metals from Column 6 of the Periodic Table, one or more compounds of one or more metals from Column 6 of the Periodic Table, calculated as weight of metal, or mixtures thereof; and a second catalyst, the second catalyst having, per gram of second catalyst, at least 0.02 grams of: one or more metals from Column 6 of the Periodic Table, one or more compounds of one or more metals from Column 6 of the Periodic Table, calculated as weight of metal, or mixtures thereof; and wherein the first and second catalysts have a pore size distribution with a median pore diameter in the range of 60-300 Å; and controlling contacting conditions such that the crude product has a total content of alkali metal, and alkaline-earth metal, in metal salts of organic acids of at most 90% of the content of alkali metal, and alkaline-earth metal, in metal salts of organic acids in the crude feed, wherein content of alkali metal, and alkaline-earth metal, in metal salts of organic acids is as determined by ASTM Method D1318. 18. A method of producing transportation fuel, comprising: processing a crude product, wherein the crude product is obtainable by: contacting a crude feed with one or more catalysts to produce a total product that includes the crude product, wherein the crude product is a liquid mixture at 25° C. and 0.101 MPa, the crude feed comprising one or more alkali metal salts of one or more organic acids, one or more alkaline-earth metal salts of one or more organic acids, or mixtures thereof, the crude feed having, per gram of crude feed, a total content of alkali metal, and alkaline-earth metal, in metal salts of organic acids of at least 0.00001 grams, and the one or more catalysts comprising: a first catalyst, the first catalyst having, per gram of first catalyst, from about 0.0001 grams to about 0.06 grams, of: one or more metals from Column 6 of the Periodic Table, one or more compounds of one or more metals from Column 6 of the Periodic Table, calculated as weight of metal, or mixtures thereof; and a second catalyst, the second catalyst having, per gram of second catalyst, at least 0.02 grams of: one or more metals from Column 6 of the Periodic Table, one or more compounds of one or more metals from Column 6 of the Periodic Table, calculated as weight of metal, or mixtures thereof; and wherein the first and second catalysts have a pore size distribution with a median pore diameter in the range of 60-300 Å; and controlling contacting conditions such that the crude product has a total content of alkali metal, and alkaline-earth metal, in metal salts of organic acids of at most 90% of the content of alkali metal, and alkaline-earth metal, in metal salts of organic acids in the crude feed, wherein content of alkali metal, and alkaline-earth metal, in metal salts of organic acids is as determined by ASTM Method D1318. 19. The method of claim 18, wherein the processing comprises distilling the crude product into one or more distillate fractions. 20. The method of claim 18, wherein the processing comprises hydrotreating. 21. The method of claim 1, wherein the first and second catalysts have a pore size distribution wherein at least 60% of the total number of pores in the pore size distribution have a pore diameter within 45 Å of the median pore diameter. 22. The crude product of claim 17, wherein the first and second catalysts have a pore size distribution wherein at least 60% of the total number of pores in the pore size distribution have a pore diameter within 45 Å of the median pore diameter. 23. The method of claim 18, wherein the first and second catalysts have a pore size distribution wherein at least 60% of the total number of pores in the pore size distribution have a pore diameter within 45 Å of the median pore diameter.
