A power driver comprising: a motor that rotates upon receiving an input current; a tool chuck having chuck jaws to hold an accessory, the tool chuck being coupled to the motor; a power take off mechanism connected between the motor and the tool chuck, the power take off mechanism being adjustable into a CHUCK MODE to one of open and close the chuck jaws while the motor rotates; an electronic clutch to interrupt the input current to the motor if the power take off mechanism is in the CHUCK MODE and if the input current exceeds a trip value. 2. The power driver set forth in claim 1, further comprising: a power line connected to the motor for delivering the input current to the motor; and a switch provided on the power line and operatively connected to the electronic clutch; wherein the electronic clutch interrupts the input current by opening the switch. 3. The power driver set forth in claim 1, further comprising a battery for supplying the input current to the motor. 4. The power driver set forth in claim 1, wherein the power driver is a corded power driver. 5. The power driver set forth in claim 1, further comprising: a mode selector for adjusting the power take off mechanism into the CHUCK MODE; and a mode selector position sensor for generating a mode input to the electronic clutch based on a position of the mode selector, the mode input indicating whether the power take off mechanism is in the CHUCK MODE. 6. The power driver set forth in claim 5, wherein the mode selector disables a mechanical clutch of the power driver. 7. The power driver set forth in claim 1, further comprising: a variable speed transmission connected between the motor and the power take off mechanism, the variable speed transmission being adjustable into at least a relatively high operating speed and a relatively low operating speed; wherein the electronic clutch interrupts the input current to the motor if the power take off mechanism is in the CHUCK MODE, if the variable speed transmission is in the relatively high operating speed, and if the input current exceeds a high trip value; and wherein the electronic clutch interrupts the input current to the motor if the power take off mechanism is in the CHUCK MODE, if the variable speed transmission is in the relatively low operating speed, and if the input current exceeds a low trip value, which is less than the high trip value. 8. The power driver set forth in claim 7, further comprising: a speed selector for adjusting the variable speed transmission into the relatively high operating speed and the relatively low operating speed; and a speed selector position sensor for generating a speed input to the electronic clutch based on a position of the speed selector, the speed input indicating whether the variable speed transmission is in the relatively high operating speed or the relatively low operating speed. 9. The power driver set forth in claim 8, wherein the electronic clutch implements pulse width modulated speed adjustments based on the speed input to compensate for kinetic energy stored in the motor and the variable speed transmission. 10. The power driver set forth in claim 1, wherein the electronic clutch implements pulse width modulated speed adjustments based on a speed input, which indicates an operating speed of the power driver, to compensate for kinetic energy stored in at least the motor. 11. The power driver set forth in claim 1, wherein the electronic clutch interrupts the input current to the motor if the power take off mechanism is in the CHUCK MODE, if the power driver is operated in a forward direction to tighten the chuck jaws, and if the input current exceeds a forward trip value; and wherein the electronic clutch interrupts the input current to the motor if the power take off mechanism is in the CHUCK MODE, if the power driver is operated in a reverse direction to loosen the chuck jaws, and if the input current exceeds a reverse trip value, which is different than the forward trip value. 12. The power driver according to claim 11, further comprising: a direction sensor for generating a direction input to the electronic clutch, the direction sensor indicating whether the power driver is set to operate in the forward direction or the reverse direction. 13. The power driver according to claim 1, further comprising: a trigger switch that varies the rotation speed of the motor depending on an actuation level of the trigger switch; wherein if the power take off mechanism is in the CHUCK MODE, the electronic clutch operates the power driver at a set speed that is independent of the actuation level of the trigger switch. 14. A power driver comprising: a motor that receives an input current to drive a tool chuck supporting chuck jaws; and a control circuit to selectively interrupt the input current to the motor, the control circuit to receive a current value input indicating the input current to the motor, and a mode input indicating whether the power driver is set to operate in CHUCK MODE in which the motor rotates to one of open and close the chuck jaws; wherein the control circuit interrupts the input current to the motor if the mode input indicates that the power driver is set to operate in the CHUCK MODE and if the current value input exceeds a trip value. 15. An electronic clutch for a power driver having a motor that receives an input current to drive a tool chuck supporting chuck jaws, the electronic clutch comprising: a control circuit to receive a first input indicative of a clamping force applied by the chuck jaws, and a second input to indicate whether the power driver is set to operate in a CHUCK MODE in which the motor rotates to one of open and close the chuck jaws; the control circuit interrupting the input current to the motor if the second input indicates that the power driver is set to operate in the CHUCK MODE and if the first input exceeds a trip value. 16. The electronic clutch according to claim 15, wherein the first input is a current value input indicating the input current to the motor. 17. The electronic clutch according to claim 15, further comprising: a switch provided on a power line for delivering the input current to the motor, the switch operatively connected to the electronic clutch, wherein the electronic clutch interrupts the input current by opening the switch. 18. The electronic clutch according to claim 15, wherein the electronic clutch receives a third input indicating whether the power driver is set to operate in one of a relatively high operating speed and a relatively low operating speed, wherein the electronic clutch interrupts the input current to the motor if the second input indicates that the power driver is set to operate in the CHUCK MODE, if the third input indicates that the power driver is set to operate in the relatively high operating speed, and if the first input exceeds a high trip value; and wherein the electronic clutch interrupts the input current to the motor if the second input indicates that the power driver is set to operate in the CHUCK MODE, if the third input indicates that the power driver is set to operate in the relatively low operating speed, and if the first input exceeds a low trip value, which is less than the high trip value. 19. The electronic clutch according to claim 18, wherein the electronic clutch implements pulse width modulated speed adjustments based on the third input to compensate for kinetic energy stored in at least the motor. 20. The electronic clutch according to claim 15, wherein the electronic clutch receives a direction input indicating whether the power driver is set to operate in a forward direction or a reverse direction; wherein the electronic clutch interrupts the input current to the motor if the second input indicates that the power driver is set to operate in the CHUCK MODE, if the direction input indicates that the power driver is set to operate in the forward direction, and if the first input exceeds a forward trip value; wherein the electronic clutch interrupts the input current to the motor if the second input indicates that the power driver is set to operate in the CHUCK MODE, if the direction input indicates that the power driver is set to operate in the reverse direction, and if the first input exceeds a reverse trip value, which is different than the forward trip value. 21. An electronic clutch for a power driver having a motor to drive a tool chuck supporting chuck jaws, the electronic clutch comprising: a control circuit to receive a mode input to indicate whether the power driver is set to operate in a CHUCK MODE in which the motor rotates to one of open and close the chuck jaws, and a clamping force input to indicate a clamping force applied by the chuck jaws; the control circuit to limit a torque output of the motor if the mode input indicates that the power driver is set to operate in the CHUCK MODE, and if the clamping force input exceeds a trip value. 22. The electronic clutch of claim 21, wherein the control circuit interrupts a power supply to the motor to limit the torque output of the motor. 23. The electronic clutch of claim 21, wherein the control circuit pulses a power supply to the motor to limit the torque output of the motor. 24. The electronic clutch of claim 21, wherein the control circuit electronically limits the power supply to the motor for a period of time, and then interrupts a power supply to the motor to limit the torque output of the motor.
