A tool with a driver, a structure, a motor assembly and a bumper. The driver has a plurality of bumper tabs, each of the bumper tabs having an arcuate first contact surface that is formed about a tab axis, each tab axis being generally perpendicular to a translation axis about which the driver translates. What is claimed is: 1. A tool comprising: a driver that is translatable along a translation axis, the driver having a pair of discrete bumper tabs, each of the bumper tabs having an arcuate first contact surface that is formed longitudinally about a tab axis, each tab axis being generally perpendicular to the translation axis and spaced apart from the translation axis so as not to intersect the translation axis; a structure; a motor assembly that is coupled to the structure, the motor assembly being configured to selectively translate the driver along the translation axis; a bumper abutting the structure, the bumper including a plurality of bumper members, each bumper member being located in-line with an associated one of the bumper tabs, each bumper member including an arcuate second contact surface that is formed about an axis that is generally orthogonal to the translation axis and the tab axis. 2. The tool of claim 1, wherein the bumper members are interconnected by a pair of ribs. 3. The tool of claim 2, wherein one of the ribs is received into a recess that is formed in the structure. 4. The tool of claim 3, further comprising a cover for shrouding at least a portion of the motor assembly, the cover including a second recess into which the other one of the ribs is received. 5. The tool of claim 1, wherein the bumper includes a pair of locking tabs that are received into locking recesses that are formed in the structure. 6. The tool of claim 1, wherein the first contact surface is generally semi-cylindrically shaped. 7. The tool of claim 1, wherein the second contact surface is generally semi-cylindrically shaped. 8. The tool of claim 1, further comprising a nosepiece and a magazine assembly that are coupled to the structure, the magazine assembly being configured to hold a plurality of fasteners and dispense a first one of the fasteners into the nosepiece in-line with the axis along which the driver translates. 9. The tool of claim 1, wherein the motor assembly includes an electric motor. 10. The tool of claim 9, wherein the motor assembly further includes a flywheel that is driven by the electric motor. 11. The tool of claim 1, wherein the first and second contact surfaces are convex in shape. 12. A tool comprising: a driver that is translatable along a translation axis, the driver having a pair of discrete bumper tabs, each of the bumper tabs having a semi-cylindrical first contact surface that is formed longitudinally about a respective tab axis, each tab axis being generally perpendicular to the translation axis and spaced apart from the translation axis so as not to intersect the translation axis; a structural backbone; a motor assembly that is coupled to the structural backbone, the motor assembly being configured to selectively translate the driver along the translation axis; a bumper abutting the structure, the bumper including a plurality of bumper members, each bumper member being located in-line with an associated one of the bumper tabs, each bumper member including a semi-cylindrical second contact surface that is formed about an axis that is generally orthogonal to the translation axis and the tab axis. 13. The tool of claim 12, wherein the bumper members are interconnected by a pair of ribs. 14. The tool of claim 13, wherein one of the ribs is received into a recess that is formed in the structural backbone. 15. The tool of claim 14, further comprising a cover for shrouding at least a portion of the motor assembly, the cover including a second recess into which the other one of the ribs is received. 16. The tool of claim 12, wherein the bumper includes a pair of locking tabs that are received into locking recesses that are formed in the structural backbone. 17. The tool of claim 12, further comprising a nosepiece and a magazine assembly that are coupled to the structure, the magazine assembly being configured to hold a plurality of fasteners and dispense a first one of the fasteners into the nosepiece in-line with the axis along which the driver translates. 18. The tool of claim 12, wherein the motor assembly includes an electric motor. 19. The tool of claim 18, wherein the motor assembly further includes a flywheel that is driven by the electric motor. 20. The tool of claim 12, wherein the first and second contact surfaces are convex in shape. 21. A tool comprising: a driver that is translatable along a translation axis; a structure; a motor assembly that is coupled to the structure, the motor assembly being configured to selectively translate the driver along the translation axis; a bumper abutting the structure, the bumper having a contact surface and an interior channel, the bumper being disposed in-line with the driver such that the driver is driven into the contact surface of the bumper by the motor assembly, the interior channel being disposed inwardly of an outer perimeter of the bumper and spaced apart from the contact surface in a direction that is parallel to the translation axis; wherein a portion of the bumper between the contact surface and the interior channel can deflect into the interior channel to dissipate energy when the driver strikes the bumper. 22. The tool of claim 21, wherein the channel extends about at least a portion of the outer perimeter of the bumper. 23. The tool of claim 21, wherein the channel is closed. 24. The tool of claim 21, wherein the contact surface is convex in shape.
