What is claimed is: 1. A wellhead assembly comprising: a casing; a first tubular member extending above the casing said first tubular member comprising an inner surface comprising at least a first portion and a second portion wherein the first portion has a greater diameter than the second portion;
What is claimed is: 1. A wellhead assembly comprising: a casing; a first tubular member extending above the casing said first tubular member comprising an inner surface comprising at least a first portion and a second portion wherein the first portion has a greater diameter than the second portion; a first tubular member flange extending from the first tubular member; a generally elongate annular member in the first tubular member, said annular member having a first end portion extending above the first tubular member and a second end portion below the first end portion, said generally elongate annular member interfacing with at least one of said first tubular member inner surface portions, wherein the generally elongate annular member is a wellhead isolation tool; a second flange extending from the wellhead isolation tool; a seal interposed between the wellhead isolation tool and the first tubular member; a fastener fastening the second flange to the first tubular member flange; and a production tubular member aligned with the wellhead isolation tool, wherein an axial force acting on the wellhead isolation tool will be reacted in the second flange prior to being reacted in the first tubular member flange, wherein said first tubular member comprises an inner lip portion, wherein the inner lip portion extends between the wellhead isolation tool and the production tubular member. 2. A wellhead assembly as recited in claim 1 wherein the wellhead isolation tool comprises an inner diameter, wherein the lip portion comprises an inner diameter and wherein the production tubing comprises an inner diameter wherein the inner diameter of said wellhead isolation tool, lip portion and production tubing are equal. 3. A wellhead assembly as recited in claim 2 wherein the seal is between the wellhead isolation tool second end portion and the second portion of the first tubular member inner surface. 4. A wellhead assembly as recited in claim 1 wherein the second flange is separable from the wellhead isolation tool. 5. A wellhead assembly as recited in claim 1 wherein the second flange is threaded to the wellhead isolation tool. 6. A wellhead assembly as recited in claim 1 further comprising a member coupled to the second flange and engaging the wellhead isolation tool, said member retaining said wellhead isolation tool in an axial direction. 7. The wellhead assembly as recited in claim 1 wherein said first tubular member comprises an inner surface section and wherein said wellhead isolation tool is retained in an axial direction relative to said first tubular member by said inner surface section. 8. The wellhead assembly as recited in claim 1 wherein said first tubular member comprises a tubular wall and an opening formed through said tubular wall, wherein said wellhead isolation tool extends across said opening. 9. The wellhead assembly as recited in claim 8 further comprising a valve coupled to said opening for controlling flow through said opening. 10. The wellhead assembly as recited in claim 8 further comprising another opening formed through said tubular wall, wherein said wellhead isolation tool extends across said another opening. 11. A wellhead assembly as recited in claim 8 wherein said seal is interposed between the wellhead isolation tool and the first tubular member inner surface second portion below said opening. 12. A wellhead assembly comprising: a first tubular member; a second tubular member extending above the first tubular member; a first flange extending from the second tubular member; a generally elongate annular member in said second tubular member, said generally elongate annular member having a first portion extending above the second tubular member and a second portion below the first portion, wherein said generally elongate annular member is axially restrained relative to the second tubular member by a member extending radially from said first flange, wherein the elongate annular member is a wellhead isolation tool; a second flange extending from the wellhead isolation tool, wherein said second flange is axially restrained relative to the wellhead isolation tool, wherein said second flange is fastened to said first flange; and a production tubing axially aligned with the wellhead isolation tool. 13. The wellhead assembly as recited in claim 12 wherein said second tubular member comprises an inner surface and wherein said wellhead isolation tool is suspended by said second tubular member inner surface. 14. The wellhead assembly as recited in claim 12 wherein said second tubular member comprises a tubular wall and an opening formed through said tubular wall, wherein said wellhead isolation tool extends across said opening. 15. The wellhead assembly as recited in claim 14 further comprising a valve coupled to said opening for controlling the flow through said opening. 16. The wellhead assembly as recited in claim 14 further comprising another opening formed through said tubular wall, wherein said wellhead isolation tool extends across said another opening. 17. A wellhead assembly as recited in claim 12 wherein said second tubular member comprises an inner lip portion, wherein the inner lip portion extends between the wellhead isolation tool and the production tubular member. 18. A wellhead assembly as recited in claim 14 further comprising a seal interposed between the wellhead isolation tool and the second tubular member below said opening. 19. The wellhead assembly as recited in claim 12 further comprising a fastener fastening the first flange to the second flange. 20. The wellhead assembly as recited in claim 12 wherein said second flange is separable from said wellhead isolation tool. 21. The wellhead assembly as recited in claim 20 wherein said second flange is threaded onto said wellhead isolation tool. 22. The wellhead assembly as recited in claim 12 wherein said member extending from said first flange penetrates said first flange for restraining axial movement of the wellhead isolation tool relative to said first flange. 23. The wellhead assembly as recited in claim 22 further comprising another member coupled to the second flange to the wellhead isolation tool for restraining axial movement of the wellhead isolation tool relative to said second flange. 24. The wellhead assembly as recited in claim 23 wherein said another member penetrates said second flange. 25. A wellhead assembly comprising: a casing; a first tubular member extending above the casing said first tubular member comprising an inner surface comprising at least a first portion and a second portion wherein the first portion has a greater diameter than the second portion; a first tubular member flange extending from the first tubular member; a generally elongate annular member in the first tubular member, said annular member having a first end portion extending above the first tubular member and a second end portion below the first end portion, said generally elongate annular member interfacing with at least one of said first tubular member inner surface portions; a second flange extending from the generally elongate annular member; a seal interposed between the generally elongate annular member and the first tubular member; a fastener fastening the second flange to the first tubular member flange; a production tubular member aligned with the generally elongate annular member, wherein an axial force acting on the generally elongate annular member will be reacted in the second member flange prior to being reacted in the first tubular member flange, wherein the elongate annular member is a wellhead isolation tool, wherein said first tubular member comprises a tubular wall and an opening formed through said tubular wall, and wherein said wellhead isolation tool extends across said opening; and another opening formed through said tubular wall, wherein said wellhead isolation tool extends across said another opening, wherein said first tubular member comprises an inner lip portion, wherein the inner lip portion extends between the wellhead isolation tool and the production tubular member. 26. A wellhead assembly comprising: a casing; a first tubular member extending above the casing said first tubular member comprising an inner surface comprising at least a first portion and a second portion wherein the first portion has a greater diameter than the second portion; a first tubular member flange extending from the first tubular member; a generally elongate annular member in the first tubular member, said annular member having a first end portion extending above the first tubular member and a second end portion below the first end portion, said generally elongate annular member interfacing with at least one of said first tubular member inner surface portions; a second flange extending from the generally elongate annular member; a seal interposed between the generally elongate annular member and the first tubular member; a fastener fastening the second flange to the first tubular member flange; and a production tubular member aligned with the generally elongate annular member, wherein an axial force acting on the generally elongate annular member will be reacted in the second member flange prior to being reacted in the first tubular member flange, wherein the elongate annular member is a wellhead isolation tool, wherein said first tubular member comprises a tubular wall and an opening formed through said tubular wall, and wherein said wellhead isolation tool extends across said opening, and wherein said seal is interposed between the wellhead isolation tool and the first tubular member inner surface second portion below said opening. 27. A wellhead assembly comprising: a first tubular member; a second tubular member extending above the first tubular member; a first flange extending from the second tubular member; a generally elongate annular member in said second tubular member, said generally elongate annular member having a first portion extending above the second tubular member and a second portion below the first portion, wherein said generally elongate annular member is axially restrained relative to the second tubular member by a member extending from said first flange, wherein the elongate annular member is a wellhead isolation tool; a second flange extending from the wellhead isolation tool, wherein said second flange is axially restrained relative to the wellhead isolation tool, wherein said second flange is fastened to said first flange; and a production tubing axially aligned with the wellhead isolation tool, wherein said second tubular member comprises an inner lip portion, wherein the inner lip portion extends between the wellhead isolation tool and the production tubular member. 28. A wellhead assembly comprising: a first tubular member; a second tubular member extending above the first tubular member; a first flange extending from the second tubular member; a generally elongate annular member in said second tubular member, said generally elongate annular member having a first portion extending above the second tubular member and a second portion below the first portion, wherein said generally elongate annular member is axially restrained relative to the second tubular member by a member extending from said first flange, wherein the elongate annular member is a wellhead isolation tool, wherein said member extending from said first flange penetrates said first flange for restraining axial movement of the wellhead isolation tool relative to said first flange; a second flange extending from the wellhead isolation tool, wherein said second flange is axially restrained relative to the wellhead isolation tool, wherein said second flange is fastened to said first flange; another member penetrating the second flange and engaging the wellhead isolation tool for restraining axial movement of the wellhead isolation tool relative to said second flange; and a production tubing axially aligned with the wellhead isolation tool.
