What is claimed is: 1. An implantable medical device, comprising: a pulse generator to generate baroreflex stimulation pulses; a sensor circuit; a lead adapted to be electrically connected to the pulse generator and to the sensor circuit, the lead including an electrode to distribute the baroreflex stimulation pulses to a baroreflex site and a pressure sensor to provide a signal indicative of blood pressure to the sensor circuit, wherein the pressure sensor is combined with the electrode and is adapted to sense blood pressure locally with respect to the baroreflex site stimulated using the electrode; and a controller connected to the pulse generator and the sensor circuit, wherein the sensor circuit and the pressure sensor provide the controller with localized blood pressure feedback with respect to the baroreflex site, and the controller is adapted to adjust the baroreflex stimulation pulses delivered through the electrode using the localized blood pressure feedback. 2. The device of claim 1, wherein the controller is adapted to modulate a characteristic of the baroreflex stimulation pulses based on the blood pressure selected from the group consisting of: an amplitude, a frequency, a pulse frequency and a morphology. 3. The device of claim 1, wherein the controller is adapted to modulate two or more characteristics selected from a group of characteristics consisting of an amplitude, a frequency, and a pulse frequency. 4. The device of claim 1, wherein the pressure sensor includes a micro-electrical mechanical system (MEMS) device to detect blood pressure. 5. An implantable medical device, comprising: means for delivering baroreflex therapy to a baroreceptor site in a wall of an artery using an intravascular lead and an electrode on the lead; means for monitoring blood pressure near the baroreceptor site using a pressure sensor on the lead to provide localized blood pressure sensing with respect to the baroreceptor site for feedback control, wherein the pressure sensor is combined with the electrode; and means for adjusting the baroreflex therapy using the feedback control. 6. The device of claim 5, wherein the means for adjusting the baroreflex therapy includes means for modulating a characteristic of the stimulation pulse selected from the group consisting of: an amplitude, a frequency, a pulse frequency, and a morphology. 7. A method, comprising: delivering baroreflex therapy to a baroreflex neural target site using an intravascular lead and an electrode on the lead; monitoring blood pressure near the baroreflex neural target site using a pressure sensor on the lead to provide localized blood pressure sensing with respect to the baroreflex neural target site for feedback control, wherein the pressure sensor is combined with the electrode; and adjusting the baroreflex therapy using the feedback control. 8. The method of claim 7, wherein adjusting the baroreflex therapy includes modulating a characteristic of the stimulation pulse selected from the group consisting of: an amplitude, a frequency, a pulse frequency and a morphology of a stimulation pulse. 9. An implantable medical device, comprising: a pulse generator to generate baroreceptor stimulation pulses; a sensor circuit; a lead adapted to be electrically connected to the pulse generator and to the sensor circuit, the lead including an electrode to distribute the baroreceptor stimulation pulses to a baroreceptor site and a pressure sensor to provide a signal indicative of blood pressure to the sensor circuit, wherein the pressure sensor is combined with the electrode and is adapted to sense blood pressure locally with respect to the baroreceptor site stimulated using the electrode; and a controller connected to the pulse generator and the sensor circuit, wherein the sensor circuit and the pressure sensor provide the controller with localized blood pressure feedback with respect to the baroreceptor site, and the controller adapted to adjust the baroreceptor stimulation pulses delivered through the electrode using the localized blood pressure feedback. 10. A method, comprising: delivering baroreflex therapy to a baroreceptor target site using an intravascular lead and an electrode on the lead; monitoring blood pressure near the baroreceptor target site using a pressure sensor on the lead to provide localized blood pressure sensing with respect to the baroreceptor target site for feedback control, wherein the pressure sensor is combined with the electrode; and adjusting the baroreflex therapy using the feedback control.
