Microwaveable popcorn arrangements are provided, the arrangement being a bag having a popcorn charge of popcorn kernels and oil/fat component therein. The arrangements include folded bags having preferred, internal, seal and/or adhesive field configurations. The preferred configurations inhibit the undesired flow of oil/fat from the popcorn charge. Microwave popcorn products and methods of preparation and use, are provided.

What is claimed is: 1. A microwaveable popcorn arrangement comprising: (a) a folded bag defining a bag interior and including first and second opposite face panels joined by first and second opposite, inwardly directed, side gussets, the first face panel and the first and second side gussets defining a first expandable section of the bag interior of the folded bag, the second face panel and the first and second side gussets defining a second expandable section of the bag interior of the folded bag, wherein the first expandable section includes side creases defined at junctions between the first face panel and the first and second, opposite, inwardly directed, side gussets; (b) a susceptor positioned within the first expandable section of the bag interior at a location between the side creases; (c) first and second gusset fold seal arrangements; (i) the first gusset fold seal arrangement being disposed in the first expandable section of the bag interior and includes a seal having a length substantially parallel to the crease formed at the junction between the first face panel and the adjacent gusset panel member of the first inwardly directed gusset, wherein a width of the seal overlaps the crease formed at the junction between the first face panel and the adjacent gusset panel member of the first inwardly directed gusset to adhere an inside surface portion of the first face panel and the adjacent gusset panel member of the first inwardly directed gusset; (ii) the second gusset fold seal arrangement being disposed in the first expandable section of the bag interior and includes a seal having a length substantially parallel to the crease formed at the junction between the first face panel and the adjacent gusset panel member of the second inwardly directed gusset, wherein a width of the seal overlaps the crease formed at the junction between the first face panel and the adjacent gusset panel member of the second inwardly directed gusset to adhere an inside surface portion of the first face panel and the adjacent gusset panel member of the second inwardly directed gusset, (d) a popcorn charge including unpopped popcorn kernels and an oil/fat component substantially positioned within the first expandable section of the bag interior such that the popcorn charge is in contact with a portion of the susceptor; and (e) a transverse containment seal having a length that is substantially perpendicular to the seal of the first gusset fold seal arrangement and the seal of the second gusset fold seal arrangement, wherein the length of the transverse containment seal extends from the seal of the first gusset fold seal arrangement to the seal of the second gusset fold seal arrangement, wherein a length of the seal of the first gusset fold seal arrangement extends substantially perpendicular from the transverse containment seal towards the center of the bag along a first side length of the susceptor, wherein a length of the seal of the second gusset fold seal arrangement extends substantially perpendicular from the transverse containment seal towards the center of the bag along a second side length of the susceptor, wherein the transverse containment seal, the seal of the first gusset fold seal arrangement and the seal of the second gusset fold seal arrangement form a sealed pouch that seals at least three sides of the susceptor. 2. A microwaveable popcorn arrangement according to claim 1 wherein: (a) the first gusset fold seal arrangement comprising a first, continuous, gusset fold insulating seal having a length of at least 10.2 cm; and (b) the second gusset fold seal arrangement comprises a continuous gusset fold insulating seal having a length of at least 10.2 cm. 3. A microwaveable popcorn arrangement according to claim 2 wherein: (a) the first gusset fold insulating seal is formed from a single continuous portion of adhesive; and, (b) the second gusset fold insulating seal is formed from a single continuous portion of adhesive. 4. A microwaveable popcorn arrangement according to claim 1 wherein: (a) the first gusset fold seal arrangement comprises at least two, spaced, adhesive portions; and, (b) the second gusset fold seal arrangement comprises at least two, spaced, adhesive portions. 5. A microwaveable popcorn arrangement according to claim 4 wherein: (a) each one of the at least two, spaced, adhesive portions of the first gusset fold seal arrangement has a perimeter area of at least 0.26 sq. cm and not more than 11.6 sq. cm; and, (b) each one of the at least two, spaced, adhesive portions of the second gusset fold seal arrangement has a perimeter area of at least 0.26 sq. cm and not more than 11.6 sq. cm. 6. A microwaveable popcorn arrangement according to claim 1 wherein: (a) the folded bag is a folded bag having an inside ply and an outside ply. 7. A microwaveable popcorn arrangement according to claim 6 wherein: (a) the susceptor is positioned between the inside and outside plies. 8. A microwaveable popcorn arrangement according to claim 7 wherein: (a) the folded bag is: (i) folded into a tri-fold along two fold lines parallel to one another and transverse to the side gussets; and, (ii) stored in an overwrap. 9. A microwaveable popcorn arrangement according to claim 8 wherein: (a) each of the first and second gusset fold seal arrangements is positioned with at least a portion thereof in thermoconductive overlap with the susceptor. 10. A microwaveable popcorn arrangement according to claim 6 wherein: (a) the inside ply comprises paper; and (b) the outside ply comprises paper. 11. A microwaveable popcorn arrangement according to claim 1 including: (a) a first continuous diagonal seal between the first face panel and the first inwardly directed gusset; the first continuous diagonal seal comprising a sealant field that stops short of reaching a fold line at a first edge of the first face panel; and, (b) a second continuous diagonal seal between the first face panel and the second inwardly directed gusset; the second continuous diagonal seal comprising a sealant field that stops short of reaching a fold line at a second edge of the first face panel. 12. A microwavable popcorn arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein a length of the seal of the first gusset fold seal arrangement is at least 20% of a length of the first side crease at the juncture between the first face panel and the adjacent gusset panel member of the first inwardly directed gusset. 13. A microwavable popcorn arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein a length of the seal of the second gusset fold seal arrangement is at least 20% of a length of the second side crease at the juncture between the first face panel and the adjacent gusset panel member of the second inwardly directed gusset. 14. A microwavable popcorn arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein a length of the seal of the first gusset fold seal arrangement is in the range of 50% to 70% of a length of the first side crease at the juncture between the first face panel and the adjacent gusset panel member of the first inwardly directed gusset. 15. A microwavable popcorn arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein a length of the seal of the second gusset fold seal arrangement is in the range of 50% to 70% of a length of the second side crease at the juncture between the first face panel and the adjacent gusset panel member of the second inwardly directed gusset.
