Releasable joints of adhesive are provided between the metal rails and the edges of the composite panels where a web of the panel and the web of the rail extend across the panel at an angle to the first and second surfaces different from 90 degrees so that the web of the panel meets the flange of the panel at an angle greater than 90 degrees.

An assembled structure comprising:a panel having a first surface, a second surface and an edge;the panel being formed from a first fiber reinforced resin sheet at the first surface and a second fiber reinforced resin sheet at the second surface and containing therebetween a core material and together defining an integral resin infused structure;a member connected by adhesive to the panel along the edge of the panel;the panel being shaped at the edge of the panel to define a flange formed as an extension of the first fiber reinforced resin sheet along the edge at the first surface lying in a plane generally coplanar with the first surface and extending beyond the edge and adhesively attached to a surface of the member;the member being shaped at the edge of the panel to define a web adhesively attached to the edge of the panel;the member being shaped at the edge of the panel to define a flange along the edge lying in a plane generally coplanar with the second surface of the panel and extending beyond the web of the member, the flange of the member being adhesively attached to the second surface of the panel;wherein the edge of the panel and the web of the member extend across the panel at an angle to the first and second surfaces different from 90 degrees so that the edge of the panel meets the flange of the panel at an angle greater than 90 degrees.
