The assembly is mounted to the electrical box to protect an electrical device from moisture while allowing access to the electrical device. The housing has an inner chamber, an outer chamber and an access opening into the outer chamber for the electrical cord that can be connected to the electrical device. The cover assembly is provided with a water barrier member between the inner chamber and the outer chamber to inhibit water and debris from entering the housing of the cover assembly through the access opening.
