An inflatable or gas-filled insulation panel comprises an envelope having two outer sheets sealed together along edges of the sheets and at least one of the sheets has an outer reflective surface. The envelope encases a plurality of internal films that include a polymeric film having a plurality of reflective stripes disposed thereon and spaced apart on the films. Seals are formed along the gaps or areas between the reflective stripes on the films by application of heat and pressure, which causes the films to seal to each other and the outer sheets at spaced apart intervals. A channel is formed between the outer edges of the films and the outer sheets, and a valve, disposed at an end of the panel, is in fluid communication with the channel for the injection of a fluid, such as an inert gas or air, to inflate panel.

What is claimed is: 1. A reflective gas-filled insulation panel, comprising:a first and second aluminum laminate sheets, each sheet including a polymer film affixed to an aluminum sheet, and the first and second laminate sheet sealed to one another along edges thereof and the aluminum sheets forming an external reflective surface of the insulation panel;a plurality of interior films disposed between the aluminum laminate sheets, each of the films comprising of a polymer film having a plurality of metal stripes affixed thereon and spaced apart on the polymer film forming gaps there between, and the interior films positioned relative to one another so the gaps of an interior film is aligned with a metal stripe on a consecutive film, and the interior films adjacent to the respective first and second aluminum laminate sheets have the metal stripes facing the polymer film of the aluminum laminate sheets and the remaining interior films all having the metal stripes facing the first or second aluminum laminate sheet, and the interior films are sealed to one another and the sheets at the gaps between the metal stripes;one or more seals on the first and second aluminum laminate sheets, that seals the sheets together enclosing the interior films within sheets, and the seals are spaced from an outer edge of the interior films forming a channel there between; and,a valve in fluid communication with the channel for injecting a gas into the channel and between the interior films and sheets whereby the films and sheets separate from one another at areas defined in part by the metal stripes causing the panel to inflate, forming chambers between the films and sheets for retaining the gas.
