The exit trough may define an insert aperture for receiving modular cable management inserts. The modular insert providing an additional cable management device such as a curved guidewall. The cable management device may alternatively be fixed to the cable exit trough. Removable snap-mounted flanges may also be included in the exit trough.

A cable exit trough mountable to a lateral trough section, the cable exit trough comprising:a cable exit pathway structure that extends transversely over a top edge of the lateral trough section when the cable exit trough is mounted to the trough section, the cable exit pathway structure having a curved bottom trough surface;a cover plate that covers the pathway structure that extends transversely over the top edge of the lateral trough section, the cover plate having a corresponding curved construction to that of the curved bottom trough surface of the cable exit pathway structure; anda pivot plate hingedly mounted to the cover plate, the pivot plate covering at least a portion of the lateral trough section when the cable exit trough is mounted to the trough section, the pivot plate pivoting relative to the cover plate between a closed position and an open position to provide access to the trough section.
