A method and device of inserting a food stuff into a food stuff bag is disclosed, with the method involving providing a substantially flexible resilient food stuff support that is generally “U” shaped when viewed from its operative position on a countertop, inserting at least a first end of the device a short depth into an opening of a pliable bag, such first end having an edge that is curved and opposing sides that are substantially straight. A bending mechanism bends so that at least the first end deforms from a first configuration to a second configuration for insertion of the first end through the bag opening and into an interior of the bag, wherein when the forces are reduced, the first end changes shape toward the first configuration for holding a portion of the bag and for providing an open volume within the bag for transferring a food stuff to the interior of the bag.

1. A device for inserting a food stuff into a food stuff bag, comprising: a substantially flexible resilient food stuff support having at least one food stuff supporting element that has at least a first end for insertion a short depth into an opening of a pliable bag;a support bending mechanism for applying one or more forces wherein when the forces are applied, the food stuff support bends so that at least the first end deforms from a first configuration to a second configuration for insertion of the first end through the bag opening and into an interior of the bag;wherein when the forces are reduced, the first end changes shape toward the first configuration for holding a portion of the bag and for providing an open volume within the bag for transferring a food stuff to the interior of the bag; thereby holding the bag open and giving the bag a shape suitable for pouring a foodstuff into the bag, with said bag acquiring a shape such that a foodstuff may easily be inserted in said bag with reduced contact; anda support having an upright arrangement for supporting the food stuff in an orientation for transferring the food stuff into the bag, and a different substantially flattened arrangement for storage. 2. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein said flexible resilient food stuff support comprises lexan polycarbonate. 3. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein when a bag insertion end is inserted into a pliable bag, the bag is maintained in an open configuration during the transfer of the foodstuff on the device to the bag. 4. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein device is generally “U” shaped when viewed from its operative position on a countertop. 5. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein the first end has no sharp corners that could snag, tear or cut the bag. 6. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein said first end has a smooth contour having tangents that are acutely angled relative to the general direction of the flow of food stuff from the bag opener into a food stuff bag. 7. The device as set forth in, claim 1, wherein said first end has contoured edges. 8. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein the device has no pointed or sharp portions that could damage a pliable bag, said first end having edges that are sufficiently dull so as to not cut a bag. 9. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein said device includes a gripping structure to facilitate insertion and removal of a pliable bag. 10. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein said device includes an apparatus for supporting the bag opener in a position without requiring a user to manually maintain the bag opener in said position while depositing a food stuff into a pliable bag. 11. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein the bag remains on the support for an extended period of time while the bag is being filled. 12. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein a three-dimensional cavity is formed inside the interior regions of a pliable bag and a food stuff can be readily inserted within such cavity and wherein, once a food stuff is inserted, the device is removed from the pliable bag. 13. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein said device is in a substantially planar orientation when not in use. 14. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein said device facilitates holding pliable bags able to hold 2 gallons of food stuff. 15. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein a substantial depth of the bag is held taunt by the device to thereby maintain the bag and its interior to open for accepting the food stuff. 16. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein a user can use both his/her hands to guide the food stuff into the bag without having to also manipulate and/or grasp the bag or the device. 17. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein the device includes rounded distal corners so that a user can not be injured or cut. 18. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein the device includes legs so that the device is raised above a supporting surface. 19. The device as set forth in claim 1, wherein the device has an insertion edge that is rounded to ease the device into the pliable bag and substantially only the first end is bendable. 20. A method of inserting a food stuff into a food stuff bag comprising: (a) first providing a pliable food stuff bag having an opening to an interior of the bag;(b) second providing a substantially flexible resilient food stuff support that is generally “U” shaped when viewed from its operative position on a countertop, said support having at least one food stuff supporting element that has at least a first end for insertion a short depth into an opening of a pliable bag, said first end having an edge that is curved and opposing sides that are substantially straight, said support further having a support bending mechanism for applying one or more forces, wherein when the forces are applied, the food stuff support bends so that at least the first end deforms from a first configuration to a second configuration for insertion of the first end through the bag opening and into an interior of the bag, wherein when the forces are reduced, the first end changes shape toward the first configuration for holding a portion of the bag and for providing an open volume within the bag for transferring a food stuff to the interior of the bag, thereby holding the bag open and giving the bag a shape suitable for pouring a foodstuff into the bag, with said bag acquiring a shape such that a foodstuff may easily be inserted in said bag with reduced contact, said support having an upright arrangement for supporting the food stuff in an orientation for transferring the food stuff into the bag, and a different substantially flattened arrangement for storage;(c) moving the support from a first substantially flat position to a second upright position;(d) applying a force to the food stuff support bending mechanism to bend said at least first end so that at least the first end deforms from the first configuration to the second configuration;(e) inserting the first end into the interior of the bag while the first end is in the second configuration;(f) allowing the first end to change shape toward the first configuration,(g) forming a three-dimensional cavity inside the interior of the bag so that a food stuff can be readily inserted within such cavity;(h) transferring a food stuff to the interior of the bag when the bag is supported on the support in said upright position; and(i) removing the bag from the support once a food stuff is inserted in the bag.
