A process for removing or treating harmful biological and chemical substances from an enclosure, such as a building or vehicle by using heated air. The method of the present invention is non-toxic and can be performed in a relatively short amount of time while effectively killing and removing a large proportion of dead organisms and substantially reducing volatile organic compounds.

1. A method for removing moisture from building materials of a partially constructed building, comprising the steps of: providing a partially constructed building at least partially framed with wooden members having a moisture content greater than that of kiln-dried wood framing members, and having an unfinished interior;positioning at least one wireless probe within the partially constructed building;heating ambient air within the partially constructed building to cause moisture from the building materials to migrate into the heated ambient air; andventing the heated air from the building. 2. The method of claim 1, including the step of substantially enclosing the building. 3. The method of claim 1, including the step of passing the heated air through a dehumidifier. 4. The method of claim 1, wherein the heating step includes the step of placing and distributing heated air into the building using a heater passing heated air through a duct into the building. 5. The method of claim 1, wherein the heating step includes the step of placing a heater within the building. 6. The method of claim 1, wherein the positioning step includes the step of positioning a plurality of temperature probes at predetermined locations within the building to monitor the temperature in the building until a predetermined temperature is achieved. 7. The method of claim 1, wherein the positioning step includes the step of positioning at least one moisture probe within the building to monitor the moisture therein. 8. A method for removing moisture from building materials of a partially constructed building, comprising the steps of: providing a partially constructed building at least partially framed with wooden members having a moisture content greater than that of kiln-dried wood framing members, and having an unfinished interior;substantially enclosing at least a portion of the partially constructed building;positioning at least one wireless probe within the partially constructed building;heating ambient air within the partially constructed building to cause moisture from the building materials to migrate into the heated ambient air;passing the heated air through a dehumidifier; andventing the heated air from the building. 9. The method of claim 8, wherein the heating step includes the step of placing and distributing heated air into the building using a heater passing heated air through a duct into the building. 10. The method of claim 8, wherein the heating step includes the step of placing a heater within the building. 11. The method of claim 8, wherein the positioning step includes the step of positioning a plurality of temperature probes at predetermined locations within the building to monitor the temperature in the building until a predetermined temperature is achieved. 12. The method of claim 8, wherein the positioning step includes the step of positioning at least one moisture probe within the building to monitor the moisture therein. 13. The method of claim 8, including the step of using a thermal imaging device to determine the temperature of the heated air within the building. 14. The method of claim 1, including the step of aggressively moving air within the building so as to cause the heated air to come into contact with building materials of the partially constructed building and draw out moisture from the building materials and into the heated air. 15. The method of claim 14, including the step of utilizing fans or blowers to aggressively move air within the building. 16. The method of claim 1, including the step of using a thermal imaging device to determine the temperature of the heated air within the building. 17. The method of claim 8, including the step of utilizing fans or blowers to aggressively move air within the building so as to cause the heated air to come into contact with building materials of the partially constructed building and draw out moisture from the building materials and into the heated air. 18. The method of claim 2, including the step of tenting at least a portion of the partially constructed building. 19. The method of claim 8, including the step of tenting at least a portion of the partially constructed building. 20. The method of claim 1, wherein the heating step includes the step of heating the ambient air within the partially constructed building before drywall, paint or carpet has been installed. 21. The method of claim 8, wherein the heating step includes the step of heating the ambient air within the partially constructed building before drywall, paint or carpet has been installed. 22. The method of claim 1, wherein the wooden frame members of the partially constructed building have at least 25% moisture content. 23. The method of claim 8, wherein the wooden frame members of the partially constructed building have at least 25% moisture content. 24. The method of claim 1, wherein the ambient air within the partially constructed building is heated to at least 100 degrees Fahrenheit. 25. The method of claim 8, wherein the ambient air within the partially constructed building is heated to at least 100 degrees Fahrenheit. 26. A method for removing moisture from building materials of a partially constructed building, comprising the steps of: substantially enclosing at least a portion of the partially constructed building to be treated;positioning at least one wireless probe within the partially constructed building;heating ambient air within the portion of the partially constructed building to be treated to at least 100 degrees Fahrenheit;utilizing fans or blowers to aggressively move air within the portion of the partially constructed building to be treated so as to cause the heated air to come into contact with building materials and draw out moisture from the building materials and into the heated air; andremoving moisture from the building by either removing the heated air from the partially constructed building or passing the heated air through a dehumidifier; wherein the partially constructed building is at least partially framed with wooden members having a moisture content greater than that of kiln-dried wood framing members, and has an unfinished interior, including unfinished or uninstalled drywall, paint, or carpet.
