A system for managing treatment of a particular health condition afflicting a patient, the system comprising: a patient local processing device comprising a processor, an input device and a nonvolatile memory, the memory storing a health management program configured to manage treatment of the particular health condition, the memory also configured to store data entered by the patient;a display unit connected to the patient local processing device, the display unit configured to display data entered on the input device; anda communication unit configured to transmit data from the patient local processing device;wherein the processor is connected to the display, the memory, and the communication unit, wherein the processor is configured to access the memory to load into the processor and run the health management program which programs the processor to: control the display unit to issue a prompt for entry of patient health condition data related to the particular health condition, wherein the patient health condition data includes subjective patient symptom data in a predefined drop-down list of subjective patient symptoms that may be individually selected and entered as data with the input device, and medication delivery data, and to issue a prompt reminding the patient of a planned activity;receive patient health condition data related to the particular health condition, including analyte level data with associated times at which the data was taken from a patient, and further including subjective patient symptom data with associated times at which the symptoms were experienced from the predefined drop-down list;store the received patient health condition data in the memory of the patient local processing device along with the times associated with the data;compile the stored patient health condition data into a data summary of accumulated data in which analyte levels at specific times are associated with subjective patient symptom data at specific times so that the summary shows an overall view of possible influences of subjective patient symptoms on analyte levels; andpresent on the display a graphical representation of the data summary of the accumulated data. 2. The system of claim 1, wherein the particular health condition afflicting a patient is diabetes. 3. The system of claim 1, wherein the health management program further programs the processor of the patient local processing device to issue the prompt as one of a visual prompt, auditory prompt, vibratory prompt and any combination thereof. 4. The system of claim 1, wherein the health management program further programs the processor to present on the display a graphical summary of statistical data including at least one of, a total number of values, a highest value, a lowest value, an average value, a standard deviation value, a percentage of values within a target range, a percentage of values above a target range, a percentage of values below a target range, and medication statistical summary. 5. The system of claim 1, wherein the health management program further programs the processor to analyze the compiled data. 6. The system of claim 1, wherein the health management program further programs the processor to transmit the accumulated data from the patient local processing device via the communication unit to a remote processor having a memory. 7. The system of claim 1, wherein the health management program further programs the processor of the patient local processing device to present a graphical representation on the display of accumulated subjective patient data related to the particular health condition. 8. The system of claim 1, wherein the health management program further programs the processor of the patient local processing device to present a graphical representation on the display of accumulated medication delivery data related to the particular health condition. 9. The system of claim 1, wherein the health management program further programs the processor of the patient local processing device to present a graphical representation on the display of a recommended treatment to a patient. 10. The system of claim 1, wherein the patient local processing device comprises a hand-held computing device. 11. The system of claim 1, wherein the patient local processing device comprises at least one of a laptop, personal computer, mobile phone device, mobile phone and PDA. 12. The system of claim 1, wherein the health management program further programs the processor of the patient local processing device to present an additional pre-defined drop-down list on the display having a list of options from which a patient can select an option in response to a prompt for entry of patient health condition data. 13. The system of claim 12, wherein the drop-down list includes a list of options related to medications. 14. The system of claim 12, wherein the drop-down list includes a list of options related to daily activities affecting the health condition afflicting the patient. 15. The system of claim 12, wherein the drop-down list includes a list of options related to subjective symptoms. 16. The system of claim 1, wherein the health management program further programs the processor of the patient local processing device to present a visual prompt on the display for entry of planned activity data related to the particular health condition, wherein planned activity data comprises scheduling of medication delivery to the patient. 17. The system of claim 12, wherein the display comprises a touch screen on which is displayed the drop-down lists and on which options on those lists may be selected. 18. A system for managing treatment of a particular health condition afflicting a patient, the system comprising: a nonvolatile memory storing a health management application program configured to manage treatment of the particular health condition;a display comprising a touch screen;a communication unit configured to transmit data wirelessly via a mobile phone device; anda processor connected to the display, the memory, and the communication unit, wherein the processor is configured to access the memory to load into the processor and run the health management application program which programs the processor to: control the display to issue a prompt for entry of patient condition data related to the particular health condition including subjective patient symptom data in a predefined drop-down list of such symptoms that may be individually selected and entered as data with the touch screen;receive patient condition data related to the particular health condition including analyte level data with associated times at which the data was taken from a patient, and further including the selection of symptoms from the predefined drop-down list via the touch screen with associated times at which the symptoms were experienced;store the received patient condition data in the memory along with the times associated with the data;compile the stored patient condition data into a data summary of accumulated data in which analyte levels at specific times are associated with subjective patient symptom data at specific times so that the summary shows an overall view of possible influences of subjective patient symptoms on analyte levels; andpresent on the display a graphical representation of the data summary of accumulated data. 19. The system of claim 18, wherein the particular health condition afflicting a patient is diabetes. 20. The system of claim 18, wherein the health management application program further programs the processor to issue the prompt as one of a visual prompt, auditory prompt, vibratory prompt and any combination thereof. 21. A system for managing treatment of a particular health condition afflicting a patient, the system comprising: a patient local processing device comprising a processor, an input device and a nonvolatile memory, the memory storing a health management program configured to manage treatment of the particular health condition, the memory also configured to store data entered by the patient;a display unit connected to the patient local processing device, the display unit configured to display data entered on the input device; anda communication unit configured to transmit data from the patient local processing device;wherein the processor is connected to the display, the memory, and the communication unit, wherein the processor is configured to access the memory to load into the processor and run the health management program which programs the processor to: control the display unit to issue a prompt for entry of patient health condition data related to the particular health condition, wherein the patient health condition data includes analyte level data, and further includes subjective patient symptom data in a predefined drop-list of such subjective symptoms and at least one of further symptom data and medication delivery data;control the display unit to present a visual prompt for patient entry of a planned activity;receive patient health condition data related to the particular health condition including analyte level data with associated times at which the data was taken from a patient, and further including subjective patient symptom data selected from the predefined drop-down list with associated times at which the subjective symptoms were experienced;store the received patient health condition data in the memory of the patient local processing device along with the times associated with the data;compile the stored patient health condition data into a data summary of accumulated data in which analyte levels at specific times are associated with subjective patient symptom data at specific times so that the summary shows an overall view of possible influences of subjective patient symptoms on analyte levels; andpresent on the display a graphical representation of the data summary of the accumulated data. 34. The system of claim 33, wherein the particular health condition afflicting a patient is diabetes. 35. The system of claim 33, wherein the health management program further programs the processor of the patient local processing device to issue the prompt as one of a visual prompt, auditory prompt, vibratory prompt and any combination thereof. 36.
