The drip emitter of claim 3 wherein the base member defines a perimeter having two longitudinal sides and wherein the plurality of arms are disposed along the longitudinal sides. 5. The drip emitter of claim 4 wherein the perimeter of the base member defines a face and wherein the plurality of arms extend in a direction perpendicular to the face. 6. The drip emitter of claim 3 wherein the cover member defines a perimeter having two longitudinal sides and wherein the plurality of tabs are disposed along the longitudinal sides. 7. The drip emitter of claim 6 wherein the plurality of tabs are formed within recesses spaced along the two longitudinal sides. 8. The drip emitter of claim 3 wherein the base member and cover member are fastened to one another by heat bonding the plurality of tabs to the plurality of arms.
