A method, comprising: receiving an input to set an event reminder of an upcoming event on a first mobile device, the event reminder being based on proximity to a preset location;transmitting a wireless communication from the first mobile device to a second mobile device to cause the event reminder to be set on the second mobile device;detecting, by the second mobile device, that the second mobile device is within proximity of the preset location;displaying the event reminder on the second mobile device; andtransmitting status information from the second mobile device to the first mobile device relating to the reminder. 11. The method of claim 10, wherein the event reminder is based on proximity to the preset location at a predetermined date or time relating to a time of an event. 12. The method of claim 10, further comprising, before the detecting, recording a current location of the first mobile device for future identification as the preset location. 13.
