The invention relates to an actuator for a dispenser device for spraying contents of a receptacle that is pressurized or of a receptacle that has a pump, the actuator comprising a channel connectable to a receptacle outlet on one side of the actuator for receiving the pressurized contents of the receptacle, said channel having an orifice for spraying the contents on another side of the actuator, wherein an inlet connects the channel with a volume chamber, wherein the orifice has a valve for opening and closing the orifice, the valve biased by biasing means in the closed position, wherein the inlet has inlet reduction means for reducing the size of the inlet to the volume chamber. The invention is characterized in that the inlet reduction means comprises a flexible element.

Actuator for a dispenser device for spraying contents of a receptacle that is pressurized or of a receptacle that has a pump, the actuator comprising: a channel extending from one side of the actuator, at which side the channel is connectable to a receptacle outlet for receiving the pressurized contents of the receptacle, to another side of the actuator, at which side the channel has an orifice for spraying the contents of the receptacle, and which channel includes an expandable volume chamber, which volume chamber is provided with an inlet for delivering the pressurised contents of the receptacle to the volume chamber and which volume chamber is in communication with the orifice for spraying the contents of the receptacle;a movable piston which has a piston body, part of which forms a movable volume chamber wall that is moveable between a first end position, in which the chamber is in an unexpanded condition, and a second end position, in which the chamber is in an expanded position, and wherein the volume chamber expands by moving the movable volume chamber wall out of the first end position towards the second position, and which piston body further has a pin extending from the piston body that forms a valve that closes the orifice when the piston is in the first end position and which opens the orifice when the piston is moved out of the first end position towards the second end position;biasing means which bias the piston body into the first end position; anda flexible element being mounted on a part of the piston body that is located in the volume chamber when the piston body is in the first end position, and which part is located adjacent the inlet when the piston is in the second end position, such that when the piston body is in the second end position the flexible element is located in or adjacent the inlet and reduces the size of the inlet compared to the size of the inlet when the piston body is in an intermediate position in-between the first and second end position, and thus allows a reduced flow of pressurized contents into the volume chamber compared to the flow when the piston body is positioned in an intermediate position in between the first and second end position. 2. Actuator according to claim 1, wherein the flexible element is an O-ring. 3. Actuator according to claim 1, wherein the volume chamber is cylindrical. 4. Actuator according to claim 1, wherein an O-ring is mounted on the piston body and the inlet comprises a circular interior wall of the actuator. 5. Actuator according to claim 1, wherein the orifice cross sectional surface area is more than live times smaller than the volume chambers inlet cross sectional surface area. 6. Actuator according to claim 1, wherein the volume chamber is an expandable volume chamber, and the inlet oldie expanded volume chamber has a width of less than 0.1 mm. 7. Actuator according to claim 1, wherein the piston body has a surface that forms a volume chamber wall, said surface extending freely into the volume chamber in the closed state and the piston being moveable at an acute angle relative to the surface. 8. Actuator according to claim 1, wherein the actuator comprises guiding means for guiding the pin onto the orifice. 9. Actuator according to claim 1, wherein the actuator comprises at least an actuator hood, a first part receivable in the actuator hood having the orifice and the channel's inlet, a second part receivable in the first part for forming the channel from the inlet to the orifice and the piston receivable in the second part. 10. Actuator according to claim 1, wherein said orifice forms an outlet of the volume chamber. 11. Pressurized receptacle and actuator assembly comprising an actuator according to claim 1. 12. Actuator according to claim 1, wherein the flexible element is movably mounted on the piston body such that the flexible body is moveable along the piston body towards and away from the inlet to respectively reduce or increase the inlet opening. 13. Actuator for a dispenser device for spraying contents of a receptacle that is pressurized or of a receptacle that has a pump, the actuator comprising: a channel extending from one side of the actuator, at which side the channel is connectable to a receptacle outlet for receiving the pressurized contents of the receptacle, to another side of the actuator, at which side the channel has an orifice for spraying the contents of the receptacle, and which channel includes an expandable volume chamber, which volume chamber is provided with an inlet for delivering the pressurised contents of the receptacle to the volume chamber and which volume chamber is in communication with the orifice for spraying the contents of the receptacle;a movable piston which has a piston body, part of which forms a movable volume chamber wall that is moveable between a first end position, in which the chamber is in an unexpanded condition, and a second end position, in which the chamber is in an expanded position, and wherein the volume chamber expands by moving the movable volume chamber wall out of the first end position towards the second position, and which piston body further forms a valve that closes the orifice when the piston is in the first end position and which opens the orifice when the piston is moved out of the first end position towards the second end position;biasing means which bias the piston body into the first end position; anda flexible element being mounted on a part of the piston body that is located in the volume chamber when the piston body is in the first end position such that the flexible element is located in the volume chamber when the piston body is in the first end position, and which part of the piston body is located adjacent the inlet when the piston is in the second end position, such that when the piston body is in the second end position the flexible element is located in or adjacent the inlet and reduces the size of the inlet compared to the size of the inlet when the piston body is in an intermediate position in-between the first and second end position, and thus allows a reduced flow of pressurized contents into the volume chamber compared to the flow when the piston body is positioned in an intermediate position in between the first and second end position, and wherein the flexible element has a flexibility that allows the flexible element to quickly adapt to sudden pressure changes, and the flexible element is mounted on the piston body such that the flexible element is located downstream of an opening of the inlet and bends towards the inlet when the pressure in the volume chamber increases to enable a fast reduction of the size of the inlet. 14. Actuator for a dispenser device for spraying contents of a receptacle that is pressurized or of a receptacle that has a pump, the actuator comprising: a channel extending from one side of the actuator, at which side the channel is connectable to a receptacle outlet for receiving the pressurized contents of the receptacle, to another side of the actuator, at which side the channel has an orifice for spraying the contents of the receptacle, and which channel includes an expandable volume chamber, which volume chamber is provided with an inlet for delivering the pressurised contents of the receptacle to the volume chamber and which volume chamber is in communication with the orifice for spraying the contents of the receptacle;a movable piston which has a piston body, part of which forms a movable volume chamber wall that is moveable between a first end position, in which the chamber is in an unexpanded condition, and a second end position, in which the chamber is in an expanded position, and wherein the volume chamber expands by moving the movable volume chamber wall out of the first end position towards the second position, and which piston body further forms a valve that closes the orifice when the piston is in the first end position and which opens the orifice when the piston is moved out of the first end position towards the second end position;biasing means which bias the piston body into the first end position; anda flexible element being mounted on a part of the piston body that is located in the volume chamber when the piston body is in the first end position such that the flexible element is located in the volume chamber when the piston body is in the first end position, and which part of the piston body is located adjacent the inlet when the piston is in the second end position, such that when the piston body is in the second end position the flexible element is located in or adjacent the inlet and reduces the size of the inlet compared to the size of the inlet when the piston body is in an intermediate position in-between the first and second end position, and thus allows a reduced flow of pressurized contents into the volume chamber compared to the flow when the piston body is positioned in an intermediate position in between the first and second end position, and wherein the flexible element is an O-ring that is movably mounted on the piston body such that the flexible element is located downstream of an opening of the inlet and moves along the piston body towards the inlet when the pressure in the volume chamber increases and away from the inlet when the pressure in the volume chamber decreases to respectively reduce or increase the size of the inlet opening.
