The mechanical component according to claim 1, used as a bearing component. 6. A rolling bearing comprising: a race member; anda plurality of rolling elements disposed in contact with said race member on an annular raceway, said race member being the mechanical component according to claim 1, said rolling elements being formed of ceramic. 7. The rolling bearing according to claim 6, provided in a gas turbine engine and supporting a rotary member that is one of a main shaft and a member rotating as said main shaft rotates, relative to a member adjacent to said rotary member rotatably.
