A method for providing a user with a service to access and collect personal health records associated with the user in a private manner through use of a user account, the method comprising: assigning through a web site associated with a web server, a destination address associated with the user account of the user for receiving private fax communications from at least one health care provider;associating access information with the user account of the user for the user to use to access the web site hosted on the web server using a web-enabled device;providing authorization to the health care provider to send personal health records to the destination address associated with the user account;receiving a private fax communication from one of the at least one health care providers at the web site, the private fax communication comprising a personal health record associated with the user for which the user has requested and given permission to the health care provider to send to the destination address;storing the personal health record such that the personal health record is accessible through the web site, wherein the personal health record is from the set consisting of a patient chart, a birth certificate, a vaccination record, a medical history, a lab report, a test result, a prescription, an x-ray result or image, a scan, and an EKG result or image;associating the personal health record with a user account of the user on the web site;alerting the user of the private fax communication from the health care provider;providing the user with access to the user account on the web site through use of the access information;providing on the web site an interface to organize the personal health record;receiving on the web site a voice communications message from one of the at least one health care providers directed to the user and maintaining the voice communications message as private;alerting the user of the voice communications message from the health care provider; andproviding the user with access to the voice communications message using the access information. 2. The method of claim 1 further comprising creating through the web site a document for the user to provide to the at least one health care providers requesting the at least one health care providers to send the health record to the destination address and granting the at least one health care provider permission to send the at least one health record to the destination address. 3. The method of claim 1 wherein the destination address is a phone number. 4. The method of claim 3 wherein the phone number is a toll-free phone number. 5. The method of claim 1 wherein the destination address is an email address. 6. The method of claim 1 wherein the access information includes a first set of access information for providing a first level of security and at least one second set of access information for providing an additional level of security. 7. The method of claim 1 further comprising receiving an additional health record from the user uploaded to the web site. 8. The method of claim 1 wherein the destination address is a phone number adapted for accepting both fax communications and voice communications without entry of a personal identification number (PIN) associated with the consumer. 9. The method of claim 1 further comprising providing the user with functionality for uploading additional health records to the web site. 10. The method of claim 1 therein the at least one health care provider is a hospital. 11. The method of claim 1 wherein the user account is associated with a family plan. 12. The method of claim 1 wherein the user account is associated with an individual plan. 13. The method of claim 1 further comprising collecting insurance information and associating the insurance information with the user account. 14. The method of claim 1 further comprising associating a calendar with the user account. 15. The method of claim 14 further comprising synchronizing the calendar with a calendar program. 16. The method of claim 1 wherein the personal health records comprises drug prescriptions. 17. The method of claim 16 further comprising analyzing the prescription drugs to determine drug interaction. 18. The method of claim 17 further comprising reporting the drug interaction to at least one of the health care providers. 19. A method for providing a user with a service to access and collect personal health records associated with the user in a private manner, comprising: assigning through a web site hosted on a web server, a destination address associated with a user for private fax communications from a health care provider without having the health care provider enter a personal identification number of the user;associating access information with the user for the user to use to access the web site hosted on the web server using a web-enabled device;providing authorization to the health care provider to send personal health records to the destination address;receiving a private fax communication at a fax server, the private fax communication comprising a personal health record associated with the user for which the user has requested and given permission to the health care provider to send to a fax number;converting the personal health record into an image file format at the fax server;storing the personal health record encoded in the image file format such that the personal health record is accessible through the web site, wherein the personal health record is from the set consisting of a patient chart, a birth certificate, a vaccination record, a medical history, a lab report, a test result, a prescription, an x-ray result or image, a scan, and an EKG result or image;associating the personal health record encoded in the image file format with a user account of the user on the web site;providing the user with access to the user account on the web site through use of the access information;providing a means of receiving a voice communications message from the health care provider to the user and maintaining the voice communications message as private;providing a means of alerting the user of the voice communications message from the health care provider; andproviding the user with a means to access the voice communications message using the access information. 20. A method for providing a user with a service to access and collect personal health records associated with the user in a private manner, comprising: providing a web accessible personal health record system, the personal health record system providing means for: (a) assigning through a web site hosted on a web server, a destination address associated with a user for private fax;(b) associating access information with the user for the user to use to access the web site hosted on the web server using a web-enabled device;(c) providing authorization to the health care provider to send personal health records to the destination address;(d) receiving a private fax communication from a fax server, the private fax communication comprising a personal health record associated with the user for which the user has requested and given permission to the health care provider to send to a fax number, the personal health record encoded in an image file format;(e) storing the personal health record encoded in an image file format such that the personal health record is accessible through the web site, wherein the personal health record is from the set consisting of a patient chart, a birth certificate, a vaccination record, a medical history, a lab report, a test result, a prescription, an x-ray result or image, a scan, and an EKG result or image;(f) associating the personal health record encoded in the image file format with a user account of the user on the web site;(g) providing the user with access to the user account on the web site through use of the access information;(h) providing a means of receiving a voice communications message from the health care provider to the user and maintaining the voice communications message as private;(i) alerting the user of the voice communications message from the health care provider;(j) and providing the user with access information to access the voice communications message;receiving the authorization from the user; andsending the private fax communication to the destination address associated with the user for private fax communications. 21. The method of claim 20 further comprising receiving one or more of the personal health records associated with the user from the personal health record system. 22. The method of claim 21 wherein the personal health record system provides for drug interaction analysis. 23. The method of claim 22 further comprising receiving a drug interaction report from the personal health record system. 24. A method for providing a user with a service to access and collect personal health records associated with the user in a private manner, comprising: providing a personal health record system, the personal health record system providing means for: (a) assigning through a web site, a destination address associated with a user for private fax communications from a health care provider without having the health care provider enter a personal identification number of the user; (b) associating access information with the user for the user to use to access a web site hosted on a web server using a web-enabled device; (c) providing authorization to the health care provider to send personal health records to the destination address; (d) receiving a private fax communication from a fax server, the private fax communication comprising a personal health record associated with the user for which the user has requested and given permission to the health care provider to send to a fax number; (e) storing the personal health record encoded in an image file format such that the personal health record is accessible through the web site, wherein the personal health record is from the set consisting of a patient chart, a birth certificate, a vaccination record, a medical history, a lab report, a test result, a prescription, an x-ray result or image, a scan, and an EKG result or image; (f) associating the personal health record encoded in the image file format with a user account of the user on the web site; (g) providing: the user with access to the user account on the web site through use of the access information; (h) providing a means of receiving a voice communications message from the health care provider to the user and maintaining the voice communications message as private; and alerting the user of the voice communications message from the health care provider; (i) providing the user with access information to access the voice communications message;receiving the authorization from the user;sending the private fax communication to the destination address associated with the user for private fax communications. 25. The method of claim 24 further comprising receiving one or more of the personal health records associated with the user from the personal health record system. 26. The method of claim 24 wherein the personal health record system provides for drug interaction analysis. 27. The method of claim 26 further comprising receiving a drug interaction report from the personal health record system.
