1. A method for calibration of a continuous glucose sensor, the method comprising: receiving sensor data from a continuous analyte sensor, the sensor data comprising one or more sensor data points;receiving reference data comprising one or more reference data points from a reference analyte monitor;forming, by a processor module, a calibration data set comprising the one or more sensor data points and the one or more reference points;determining in substantially real-time, by a processor module, a degree of association of the calibration data set with a curve, wherein the curve is based at least in part on the calibration data set; andprocessing the sensor data responsive to the determined degree of association. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the determining a degree of association comprises evaluating a correlation of at least one matched data pair with the curve. 3. The method of claim 1, wherein the forming a calibration data set comprises forming at least one matched data pair, and wherein the curve comprises a calibration line formed from said calibration set, wherein the determining a degree of association comprises evaluating a correlation of the matched data pairs in the calibration set with the calibration line. 4. The method of claim 1, wherein the forming a calibration data set comprises forming one or more matched data pairs by matching time corresponding sensor and reference data and forming the calibration data set including one or more of the one or more matched data pairs, wherein determining a degree of association comprises iteratively evaluating a plurality of combinations of matched data pairs in the calibration data set to obtain a plurality of calibration lines. 5. The method of claim 4, further comprising removing matched data pairs from the calibration data set in response to the iterative evaluation. 6. The method of claim 1, wherein the determining a degree of association of the data set comprises evaluating a goodness of fit of the calibration data set with a calibration line drawn from the calibration data set. 7. The method of claim 1, wherein the processing comprises requesting reference data based on the determined degree of association. 8. The method of claim 1, wherein the processing comprises disabling a display of the sensor data based on the determined degree of association. 9. The method of claim 1, wherein the processing comprises controlling an output based on the determined degree of association. 10. The method of claim 9, wherein the controlling an output comprises controlling a display of the sensor data based on the determined degree of association. 11. The method of claim 10, wherein the controlling a display comprises providing error bars or ± values responsive to the determined degree of association. 12. The method of claim 1, wherein the processing comprises determining a confidence level based on the degree of association. 13. A system for calibration of a continuous glucose sensor, the system comprising: a processor module configured to: a) receive sensor data from a continuous analyte sensor, the sensor data comprising one or more sensor data points; b) receive reference data comprising one or more reference data points from a reference analyte monitor; c) determine in substantially real-time a degree of association of the calibration data set with a curve, wherein the curve is based at least in part on the calibration data set; and d) process the sensor data responsive to the determined degree of association. 14. The system of claim 13, wherein the calibration data set comprises one or more matched data pairs, and wherein the processor module is configured to determine the degree of association by evaluating a correlation of at least one matched data pair with the curve. 15. The system of claim 13, wherein the calibration data set comprises one or more matched data pairs and a calibration line from said calibration data set, and wherein the processor module is configured to determine the degree of association by evaluating a correlation of one or more matched data pairs of the one or more matched data pairs in the calibration data set with the calibration line. 16. The system of claim 13, wherein the calibration data set comprises one or more matched data pairs, and wherein the determining degree of association comprises iteratively evaluating a plurality of combinations of matched data pairs in the calibration data set to obtain a plurality of calibration lines. 17. The system of claim 16, wherein the processor module is configured to remove one or more matched data pairs from the calibration data set in response to the iterative evaluation. 18. The system of claim 13, wherein the calibration data set comprises one or more matched data pairs and wherein the processor module is configured to determine the degree of association by evaluating a goodness of fit of the calibration data set with a calibration line drawn from the calibration data set. 19. The system of claim 13, wherein the processor module is configured to request reference data based on the determined degree of association. 20. The system of claim 13, wherein the processor module is configured to disable display of the sensor data based on the determined degree of association. 21. The system of claim 13, wherein the processor module is configured to control an output based on the determined degree of association. 22. The system of claim 21, wherein the processor module is configured to control an output by controlling a display of the sensor data based on the determined degree of association. 23. The system of claim 22, wherein the processor module is configured to control a display by providing error bars or ± values responsive to the determined degree of association. 24. The system of claim 13, wherein the processor module is configured to determine a confidence level based on the degree of association.
