An aircraft includes a fuselage, a first wing, and a second wing. The first wing and the second wing each have at least two wing panels, where the at least two wing panels of each wing are telescopically related to one another for movement between an extended position and a retracted position. The first wing and the second wing are both connected to the fuselage and are positioned with respect to the fuselage such that the first wing is offset with respect to the second wing.

1. An aircraft, comprising: a fuselage;a first wing that is connected to the fuselage, the first wing having at least two wing panels, the at least two wing panels telescopically related to one another for movement between an extended position and a retracted position; anda second wing that is connected to the fuselage, the second wing having at least two wing panels, the at least two wing panels telescopically related to one another for movement between an extended position and a retracted position, wherein the first wing and the second wing are positioned with respect to the fuselage such that the first wing is offset with respect to the second wing and at least a portion of the first wing and at least a portion of the second wing telescopically retract into the fuselage during movement from the extended position to the retracted position, andwherein the at least two wing panels of the first wing and the at least two wing panels of the second wing do not pivot with respect to the fuselage during movement of the first wing and the second wing between the extended position and the retracted position. 2. The aircraft of claim 1, wherein the first wing is elevationally offset with respect to the second wing. 3. The aircraft of claim 2, wherein a bottom surface of the first wing is disposed at a higher elevation than a top surface of the second wing. 4. The aircraft of claim 1, wherein the first wing is longitudinally offset with respect to the second wing. 5. The aircraft of claim 4, wherein a trailing edge of the first wing is disposed forward of a leading edge of the second wing in a direction defined with respect to the front and rear of the aircraft. 6. The aircraft of claim 1, wherein the first wing and the second wing are disposed at the same longitudinal position with respect to the front and rear of the aircraft. 7. The aircraft of claim 1, wherein the wing panels of the first wing and the wing panels of the second wing are retractable into the fuselage such that at least a portion of the first wing substantially overlies at least a portion of the second wing. 8. The aircraft of claim 1, further comprising: a first collapsible spar assembly for moving the first wing between the extended position and the retracted position; anda second collapsible spar assembly for moving the second wing between the extended position and the retracted position. 9. The aircraft of claim 1, further comprising: a first spar assembly that connects at least one of the wing panels of the first wing to the fuselage for providing structural support to the first wing, the spar assembly having a plurality of links that are pivotally connected to one another, wherein each link of the plurality of links of the first spar assembly extends parallel to a first extension axis of the first wing when the first wing is in the extended position, and adjacent links of the plurality of links of the first spar assembly form acute interior angles with respect to one another when the first wing is in the retracted position; anda second spar assembly that connects at least one of the wing panels of the second wing to the fuselage for providing structural support to the second wing, the second spar assembly having a plurality of links that are pivotally connected to one another, wherein each link of the plurality of links of the second spar assembly extends parallel to a second extension axis of the second wing when the second wing is in the extended position, and adjacent links of the plurality of links of the second spar assembly form acute interior angles with respect to one another when the second wing is in the retracted position, wherein the first spar assembly and the second spar assembly move the first wing and the second wing, respectively, between the extended position and the retracted position. 10. The aircraft of claim 1, wherein an innermost wing panel from the at least two wing panels of the first wing and an innermost wing panel from the at least two wing panels from the second wing each telescopically retract into the fuselage during movement of the first wing and the second wing from the extended position to the retracted position. 11. The aircraft of claim 1, wherein all of the wing panels of the at least two wing panels of the first wing and all of the wing panels of the at least two wing panels of the second wing move telescopically during movement of the first wing and the second wing between the extended position and the retracted position. 12. The aircraft of claim 1, wherein the at least two wing panels of the first wing move telescopically with respect to one another during movement of the first wing between the extended position and the retracted position along a first extension axis that extends outward from the fuselage at a fixed angle with respect to the fuselage and the at least two wing panels of the second wing move telescopically with respect to one another during movement of the second wing between the extended position and the retracted position along a second extension axis that extends outward from the fuselage at a fixed angle with respect to the fuselage. 13. The aircraft of claim 1, wherein the first wing and the second wing are not pivotable with respect to the fuselage. 14. The aircraft of claim 1, wherein the at least two wing panels of the first wing and the at least two wing panels of the second wing are not pivotable with respect to the fuselage. 15. The aircraft of claim 1, wherein the first wing and the second wing are positioned with respect to the fuselage such that the first wing is offset with respect to the second wing when the first wing and the second wing are in the extended position and when the first wing and the second wing are in the retracted position. 16. An aircraft, comprising: a fuselage;a first wing that is connected to the fuselage, the first wing having at least two wing panels, the at least two wing panels telescopically related to one another for telescoping movement along a first extension axis between an extended position, wherein an outermost wing panel of the at least two wing panels of the first wing is not disposed in the fuselage, and a retracted position, wherein an outermost wing panel of the at least two wing panels of the first wing is at least partially disposed within the fuselage; anda second wing that is connected to the fuselage, the second wing having at least two wing panels, the at least two wing panels telescopically related to one another for telescoping movement along a second extension axis between an extended position, wherein an outermost wing panel of the at least two wing panels of the second wing is not disposed in the fuselage, and a retracted position, wherein an outermost wing panel of the at least two wing panels of the second wing is at least partially disposed within the fuselage, wherein the first wing and the second wing are positioned with respect to the fuselage such that the first wing is offset with respect to the second wing, andwherein the at least two wing panels of the first wing and the at least two wing panels of the second wing do not pivot with respect to the fuselage during movement of the first wing and the second wing between the extended position and the retracted position.
