The wearable food holder of claim 1, wherein the one or more spikes extend from the container portion. 3. The wearable food holder of claim 1, wherein the one or more spikes extend from the tray portion. 4. The wearable food holder of claim 3, wherein one spike extends from the tray portion. 5. The wearable food holder of claim 1, wherein the container portion includes a pair of slots configured to receive the tray portion to mount the tray portion to the container portion. 6. The wearable food holder of claim 5, wherein the pair of slots on the container portion have a shape that mates with edges of the tray portion to allow the tray portion to slide into the container portion in only one orientation. 7. The wearable food holder of claim 1, wherein the tray portion is connected to the container portion with a hinge extending from one side of the base surface and two sides of the base adjacent to the hinge are each free of a wall extending from the two side of the base surface. 8. The wearable food holder of claim 1, wherein the mounting means comprises one or more openings configured to receive a strap or band. 9. The wearable food holder of claim 1, wherein the mounting means comprises a slotted channel formed by pair of edges that define a channel that can be accessed through a slot. 10. The wearable food holder of claim 1, wherein the mounting means comprises one or more of a clip, pin, hook and loop straps, a hook or loop section, or a round ball extending from the container portion to be forcibly inserted through a smaller hole in a band. 11. The wearable food holder of claim 1, wherein the food holder is worn on one or more of a wrist band, arm band, belt, or piece of clothing. 12. The wearable food holder of claim 1, further comprising an article of food being held in the food holder, the article of food comprising a food bar. 13. A method of carrying food in a wearable food holder, the method comprising: providing a wearable food holder, the wearable food holder comprising a container portion, a tray portion, one or more spikes and a mounting means, the container portion having multiple walls defining an interior volume,the tray portion being defined by a base surface having four sides and movable relative to the container portion from an enclosed position in which the base surface is within the container portion to an open position in which the base surface is outside of the container portion,the one or more spikes extending from the base surface and the base surface from which the spikes extend being free of any walls extending from the base surface on at least two opposite sides of the base surface thereby enabling a user of the wearable food holder to have unobstructed access to the spikes from at least two sides, the base surface being positioned within the interior volume of the container portion when the tray portion is in the enclosed position, andthe mounting means for mounting the food holder to an article for wearing by a person;mounting a piece of food to the one or more spikes, wherein a user mounting a piece of food to the one or more spikes has unobstructed access to the spikes from at least two sides;closing the food holder whereby the piece of food is retained within the interior volume; andattaching the wearable food holder to one or more of a band, strap, belt or piece of clothing using the mounting means. 14. The method of claim 13, wherein the one or more spikes extend from the container portion. 15. The method of claim 13, wherein the one or more spikes extend from the tray portion. 16. The method of claim 13, wherein the container portion includes a pair of slots configured to receive the tray portion to mount the tray portion to the container portion. 17. The method of claim 16, wherein the pair of slots on the container portion have a shape that mates with edges of the tray portion to allow the tray portion to slide into the container portion in only one orientation. 18.
