A process for producing and a powdery water-absorbing polymers comprising: about 0.01 to 20 wt. % of a fine particle with a particle size of less than about 200 μm;about 0.001 to 10 wt. % of a thermoplastic adhesive; andabout 60 to 99.998 wt. % of a water-absorbing polymer particle with a particle size of about 200 μm and above, wherein the powdery water-absorbing polymers have: a flow value (FFC) within the range from about 1 to 13, and/ora dust portion of at most about 6 are disclosed. Also disclosed are a transport process, a composite, chemical products, and a use of a thermoplastic adhesive.

1. A particulate water-absorbing polymer comprising: (a) from about 0.1 wt. % to about 99.999 wt. % of a polymerized, ethylenically unsaturated, acidic group-containing monomers or salts thereof, or polymerized, ethylenically unsaturated monomers containing a protonated or a quaternary nitrogen, or

A particulate water-absorbing polymer comprising: (a) from about 0.1 wt. % to about 99.999 wt. % of a polymerized, ethylenically unsaturated, acidic group-containing monomers or salts thereof, or polymerized, ethylenically unsaturated monomers containing a protonated or a quaternary nitrogen, or mixtures thereof, wherein mixtures comprising at least ethylenically unsaturated, acidic groups-containing monomers;(b) from about 0.001 wt. % to about 5 wt. % of one or more cross-linkers;wherein elements a) and b) are polymerized and prepared into water-absorbing polymer particles; and wherein the water-absorbing polymer particles further comprise the following surface additives; and(c) from about 0.01 to 5 percent by weight of the water-absorbing polymer of a secondary crosslinker; and(d) from about 0.001 to 0.3 percent by weight of the water-absorbing polymer of a thermoplastic polymer having a number average molecular weight from about 10,000 g/mol to about 1,000,000 g/mol and having a melting temperature of at least 50° C.; wherein said thermoplastic polymer is selected from thermoplastic polyurethanes, thermoplastic polyesters, thermoplastic polyamides, thermoplastic polyolefins, thermoplastic polyvinyl esters, thermoplastic polymers based on styrene, polystyrenes, polyimides, sulfur polymers, fluoride plastics, styrene-olefin copolymers, polyacrylates or ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers or mixtures of two or more of these polymers. 2. The water-absorbing polymer particles according to claim 1 wherein the monomer of part (a) comprises acrylic acid. 3. The treated water-absorbing polymer particles according to claim 1 wherein the treated water-absorbing polymer particles has a dust portion comprising at most about 6 according to an apparatus DUSTVIEW available from PALAS wherein a 30.00g sample of the treated water-absorbing polymer particles is placed in a funnel pipe and the dust value portion as determined by the apparatus. 4. The treated water-absorbing polymer particles according to claim 1 wherein the thermoplastic polymer has a melt temperature according to ISO 11357 of at least about 50° C. 5. The treated water-absorbing polymer particles according to claim 1 wherein the thermoplastic polymer has a melt viscosity according to Brookfield (ASTM E 28) with a number 27 spindle at a temperature of about 160° C. of less than about 2000 Pas. 6. The treated water-absorbing polymer particles according to claim 1 wherein the thermoplastic polymer comprises at least about 10 percent by weight of the adhesive of a polycondensate. 7. The treated water-absorbing polymer particles according to claim 6 wherein the polycondensate comprises a polyester. 8. The treated water-absorbing polymer particles according to claim 1 wherein the water-absorbing polymers include secondary crosslinking in a surface region. 9. The treated water-absorbing polymer particles according to claim 8, wherein the surface crosslinking in the surface region comprises crosslinking effected by at least one organic compound or at least one polyvalent metal cation. 10. A liquid-absorbing hygiene article comprising water-absorbing polymer particles comprising: (a) from about 0.1 wt. % to about 99.999 wt. % of a polymerized, ethylenically unsaturated, acidic group-containing monomers or salts thereof, or polymerized, ethylenically unsaturated monomers containing a protonated or a quaternary nitrogen, or mixtures thereof, wherein mixtures comprising at least ethylenically unsaturated, acidic groups-containing monomers;(b) from about 0.001 wt. % to about 5 wt. % of one or more cross-linkers;wherein elements a) and b) are polymerized and prepared into superabsorbent polymer particles; and wherein the superabsorbent polymer particles further comprise the following surface additives; and(c) from about 0.01 to 5 percent by weight of the water-absorbing polymer of a secondary crosslinker; and(d) from about 0.001 to 0.3 percent by weight of the water-absorbing polymer of a polymer having a number average molecular weight from about 10,000 g/mol to about 1,000,000 g/mol and having a melting temperature of at least 50° C.; wherein said thermoplastic polymer is selected from thermoplastic polyurethanes, thermoplastic polyesters, thermoplastic polyamides, thermoplastic polyolefins, thermoplastic polyvinyl esters, thermoplastic polymers based on styrene, polystyrenes, polyimides, sulfur polymers, fluoride plastics, styrene-olefin copolymers, polyacrylates or ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers or mixtures of two or more of these polymers. 11. The liquid-absorbing hygiene article of claim 10 wherein the sanitary article is a diaper. 12. The water-absorbing polymer particles according to claim 10 wherein the monomer of part (a) comprises acrylic acid. 13. The treated water-absorbing polymer particles according to claim 10 wherein the treated water-absorbing polymer particles has a dust portion comprising at most about 6 according to an apparatus DUSTVIEW available from PALAS wherein a 30.00 g sample of the treated water-absorbing polymer particles is placed in a funnel pipe and the dust value portion as determined by the apparatus. 14. The treated water-absorbing polymer particles according to claim 10 wherein the thermoplastic polymer has a melt temperature according to ISO 11357 of at least about 50° C. 15. The treated water-absorbing polymer particles according to claim 10 wherein the thermoplastic polymer has a melt viscosity according to Brookfield (ASTM E 28) with a number 27 spindle at a temperature of about 160° C. of less than about 2000 Pas. 16. The treated water-absorbing polymer particles according to claim 10 wherein the thermoplastic polymer comprises at least about 10 percent by weight of the adhesive of a polycondensate. 17. The treated water-absorbing polymer particles according to claim 16 wherein the polycondensate comprises polyester. 18. The treated water-absorbing polymer particles according to claim 10 wherein the water-absorbing polymers include secondary crosslinking in a surface region. 19. The treated water-absorbing polymer particles according to claim 18 wherein the surface crosslinking in the surface region comprises crosslinking effected by at least one organic compound or at least one polyvalent metal cation.
