A container system is provided with a container having a door mounted for pivotal reciprocation about a door pivot axis between opened and closed positions. The container system also has a carrier with a body receiving the container and an arm coupled to the body for pivotal reciprocation about an arm pivot axis that is oriented substantially parallel to the door pivot axis. The arm engages the door of the container, and the pivotal reciprocation of the arm reciprocates the door of the container between the opened and closed positions.

1. A container system comprising: a container having a door mounted for pivotal reciprocation about a first pivot axis between opened and closed positions; anda carrier comprising: a body portion at least partially defining a cavity configured and dimensioned to receive the container;an arm coupled to the body portion for pivotal reciprocation about a second pivot axis oriented substantially parallel to the first pivot axis, the arm engaging the door of the container, and the pivotal reciprocation of the arm reciprocating the door of the container between the opened and closed positions; anda biasing member directly coupled to the arm, wherein the arm is reciprocally pivoted about the second pivot axis against a bias applied by the biasing member. 2. The container system of claim 1, wherein the carrier further comprises a lever pivotally coupled to the body portion, wherein tension is applied to the flexible member by actuation of the lever. 3. The container system of claim 2, wherein the carrier further comprises a locking bracket coupled to the body portion for reciprocation between a locked position preventing the lever from pivoting to open the door of the container, and an unlocked position in which the lever may pivot to open the door of the container. 4. The container system of claim 1, wherein the biasing member comprises a spring. 5. The container system of claim 1, wherein the arm is biased by the biasing member to urge the door toward the closed position. 6. The container system of claim 1, wherein the carrier further comprises a pivoting portion pivotally coupled to the body portion to pivot between a closed position, wherein the pivoting portion restrains the container within the body portion, and an open position, wherein the container may be removed from the body portion. 7. The container system of claim 6, wherein the carrier further comprises a lock positioned for locking the pivoting portion in the closed position with respect to the body portion. 8. The container system of claim 7, wherein the lock is lockable and unlockable by use of a key. 9. The container system of claim 6, wherein the arm extends from the pivoting portion for reciprocation with respect to the pivoting portion. 10. The container system of claim 9, wherein the biasing member is also coupled to the pivoting portion. 11. The container system of claim 1, wherein the carrier further comprises a locking member for selectively resisting pivotal reciprocation of the arm. 12. The container system of claim 11 further comprising a surface associated with the arm and positioned to be engaged by the locking member. 13. The container system of claim 11, wherein the locking member is coupled to the body portion for reciprocal movement between an engaged position to resist pivotal reciprocation of the arm, and a disengaged position, in which the arm is free to pivotally reciprocate. 14. A container system comprising: a container having a door mounted for pivotal reciprocation between opened and closed positions; anda carrier configured and dimensioned to receive the container, the carrier having: a body portion;an upper portion coupled to the body portion of the carrier and movable between a first position and a second position, the upper portion covering at least a portion of the container, thereby inhibiting removal of the container from the carrier when the upper portion is in the first position, and allowing removal of the container from the carrier when the upper portion is in the second position;an arm coupled for pivotal reciprocal movement with respect to the body portion, the arm having a first portion coupled to the body portion and a second portion pivotally coupled by a pivot linkage to the first portion and engaging the door; anda locking member for selectively resisting pivotal movement of the arm. 15. The container system of claim 14 further comprising a keyed lock for locking the upper portion in the first position with respect to the body portion. 16. The container system of claim 14, wherein the first portion of the arm comprises an elongated segment. 17. The container system of claim 16, wherein the elongated segment is formed from a rod. 18. The container system of claim 14, wherein the second portion of the arm comprises a hook shaped to engage the door. 19. The container system of claim 18, wherein the door of the container includes an edge surface, the hook being shaped to releasably engage the edge surface. 20. The container system of claim 14, wherein the second portion of the arm comprises a contact surface positioned to facilitate manual pivoting of the second portion with respect to the first portion of the arm. 21. The container system of claim 20, wherein the contact surface is defined by a recess formed in the second portion. 22. The container system of claim 20, wherein the second portion of the arm has a center of gravity positioned forward of the pivot linkage. 23. A container system comprising: a container having a door mounted for pivotal reciprocation between opened and closed positions; anda carrier configured and dimensioned to receive the container, the carrier including: a body portion defining a cavity for receiving the container, the body portion having a substantially hollow wall portion;an arm coupled for pivotal reciprocal movement with respect to the body portion about a pivot axis; anda flexible member coupled to the arm to facilitate the reciprocal movement of the arm, the flexible member extending through the substantially hollow wall portion of the body portion, wherein the arm engages the door of the container and the reciprocal movement of the arm reciprocates the door of the container between the opened and closed positions. 24. The container system of claim 23, wherein the body portion of the carrier is formed from rotationally-molded plastic. 25. The container system of claim 23, wherein the carrier further comprises an upper portion coupled for movement with respect to the body portion. 26. The container system of claim 25, wherein the flexible member extends through a substantially hollow portion of the upper portion. 27. The container system of claim 23, wherein the flexible member comprises a sheath and a core extending within the sheath. 28. The container system of claim 27, wherein the core is formed from a cable. 29. The container system of claim 23, wherein the carrier further comprises a pivot member coupled to the arm and mounted for rotation about the pivot axis. 30.
