A method, article of manufacture, and apparatus for presenting a plurality of auditory communications having associated data representing at least one term identified in the communication is disclosed. In an embodiment, this comprises providing a visual representation of the term, providing links associated with occurrences of the term in the plurality of communications, and when a link is selected, playing a portion of the communication corresponding to the occurrence of the term. A portion of the communication following the portion corresponding to the occurrence of the term may be played.

1. A method of presenting a plurality of auditory communications having associated data including information about at least one auditory term identified in the communications, comprising: using a processor to select each of the plurality of auditory communications based on the associated data;providing via a display at least one visual representation of the auditory term;providing via the display a plurality of links each associated with an occurrence of the auditory term in a corresponding portion of the auditory content of one of the plurality of communications;providing a visual representation of at least one policy invoked by at least one auditory term identified or not identified in one of the plurality of communications, wherein the visual representation includes at least one policy violated by an auditory communication of the plurality of auditory communications, and wherein the at least one invoked policy comprises data regarding Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, SEC, NASD, or corporate regulations;determining an action to perform based on the at least one invoked policy; andwhen a link is selected, playing via an audio output device the corresponding portion of the auditory content of one of the plurality of communications that corresponds to the selected link, wherein the corresponding portion includes the occurrence of the auditory term and at least a portion of the communication following the occurrence of the auditory term. 2. The method as recited in claim 1, wherein the visual representation is provided in an email message, web page, applet, or document. 3. The method as recited in claim 1, wherein the auditory term occurs at least twice in one of the plurality of communications, and further comprising providing a visual representation of each occurrence of the auditory term. 4. The method as recited in claim 1, further comprising providing a link for each occurrence of the auditory term. 5. The method as recited in claim 1, wherein the auditory term comprises at least one keyword. 6. The method as recited in claim 5, wherein the auditory term comprises at least two non-contiguous keywords. 7. The method as recited in claim 1, wherein the associated data comprises data regarding at least one policy invoked by at least one auditory term identified in one of the plurality of communications. 8. The method as recited in claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of communications is selected based on whether a particular policy has been invoked by at least one auditory term identified in the communication. 9. The method as recited in claim 1, further providing a link to the at least one policy, wherein selecting the link causes playback of the portion of the communication corresponding to the at least one auditory term invoking the at least one policy. 10. The method as recited in claim 1, wherein the data includes call information associated with the communication, and further comprising providing a visual representation of at least a portion of the call information. 11. The method as recited in claim 10, further comprising providing a visual representation of at least a portion of data associated with at least one other auditory communication in which the identified auditory term occurs. 12. The method as recited in claim 10, wherein the call information comprises an identity of a party to one of the plurality of communications. 13. The method as recited in claim 12, wherein the call information comprises data indicating when the communication took place. 14. A system for presenting a plurality of auditory communications having associated data including information about at least one auditory term identified in the communications, comprising: a computer configured to execute via program instructions from memory, the program instructions comprising:select each of the plurality of auditory communications based on the associated data;provide at least one visual representation of the auditory term;provide a plurality of links each associated with an occurrence of the auditory term in a corresponding portion of the auditory content of one of the plurality of communications; andprovide a visual representation of at least one policy invoked by at least one auditory term identified or not identified in one of the plurality of communications, wherein the visual representation includes at least one policy violated by an auditory communication of the plurality of auditory communications, and wherein the at least one invoked policy comprises data regarding Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, SEC, NASD, or corporate regulations;determine an action to perform based on the at least one invoked policy; andwhen a link is selected, play the corresponding portion of the auditory content of one of the plurality of communications that corresponds to the selected link, wherein the corresponding portion includes the occurrence of the auditory term and at least a portion of the communication following the occurrence of the auditory term. 15. The system as recited in claim 14, wherein the visual representation is provided in an email message, web page, applet, or document. 16. The system as recited in claim 14, wherein the auditory term occurs at least twice in one of the plurality of communications, and further configured to provide a visual representation of each occurrence of the auditory term. 17. The system as recited in claim 14, further configured to provide a link for each occurrence of the auditory term. 18. The system as recited in claim 14, further configured to provide a link to the at least one policy, and when the link is selected, to play the portion of the recording corresponding to the at least one auditory term invoking the at least one policy. 19. A computer program product for presenting a plurality of auditory communications having associated data representing at least one auditory term identified in the communications, comprising a non-transitory computer usable medium having machine readable code embodied therein, comprising: selecting each of the plurality of auditory communications based on the associated data;providing at least one visual representation of the auditory term;providing a plurality of links each associated with an occurrence of the auditory term in a corresponding portion of the auditory content of one of the plurality of communications;providing a visual representation of at least one policy invoked by at least one auditory term identified or not identified in one of the plurality of communications, wherein the visual representation includes at least one policy violated by an auditory communication of the plurality of auditory communications, and wherein the at least one invoked policy comprises data regarding Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, SEC, NASD, or corporate regulations;determining an action to perform based on the at least one invoked policy; andwhen a link is selected, playing the corresponding portion of the auditory content of one of the plurality of communications that corresponds to the selected link, wherein the corresponding portion includes the occurrence of the auditory term and at least a portion of the communication following the occurrence of the auditory term.
