The method of claim 1, further comprising: determining the therapy as not restoring cardiac hemodynamic function in response to detecting a non-increasing trend in the tissue oxygenation measurement; anddelivering a next arrhythmia therapy in response to determining the therapy as not restoring hemodynamic function. 3. The method of claim 1, further comprising: receiving a signal corresponding to motion of the patient; andsetting a pass band to low pass filter the determined tissue oxygenation measurements in response to the signal corresponding to motion of the patient. 4. A method for delivering therapy in a medical device, comprising: sensing cardiac signals;detecting a cardiac event in response to the sensed cardiac signals;delivering a therapy in response to the detected cardiac event;controlling light emission of an optical sensor in response to delivering the therapy;detecting emitted light scattered by a tissue volume adjacent the optical sensor to generate a corresponding detected light intensity output signal;determining tissue oxygenation measurements in response to the output signal;determining a tissue oxygenation trend in response to the tissue oxygenation measurements;determining whether the delivered therapy restored cardiac hemodynamic function in response to the determined tissue oxygenation trend;setting a first condition for redetecting the cardiac event in response to the sensed cardiac signals, the first condition corresponding to an increasing trend in the tissue oxygenation measurement being detected; andsetting a second condition for redetecting the cardiac event, different from the first condition, in response to the sensed cardiac signals, the second condition corresponding to an increasing trend in the tissue oxygenation measurement not being detected. 5. The method of claim 4, further comprising: selecting the second condition for redetecting the cardiac event in response to an increasing trend in the tissue oxygenation measurement not being detected; andgenerating an alarm in response to not redetecting the cardiac event according to the selected second condition. 6. The method of claim 4, further comprising: selecting the second condition for redetecting the cardiac event in response to an increasing trend in the tissue oxygenation measurement not being detected; anddelivering one of a pacing therapy and a drug therapy in response to not redetecting the cardiac event according to the selected second condition. 7. The method of claim 4, further comprising: selecting the first condition for redetecting the cardiac event in response to an increasing trend in the tissue oxygenation measurement being detected;performing redetecting of the cardiac event in response to the first condition and cardiac signals sensed subsequent to delivering the therapy; anddelaying a shock therapy in response to redetecting the cardiac event in response to the first condition. 8. The method of claim 7, wherein delaying a shock therapy comprises one of performing additional cardiac signal analysis and delivering one of a pacing therapy and a drug therapy. 9. A medical device for delivering therapy, comprising: an electrode to sense cardiac signals and to deliver a therapy;a therapy delivery module coupled to the electrode to deliver a therapy via the electrode in response to the sensed cardiac signals corresponding to a predetermined cardiac event;a sensor emitting light and detecting emitted light scattered by a tissue volume adjacent the optical sensor to generate a corresponding detected light intensity output signal;a control module coupled to the sensor to control light emission of the sensor in response to delivering the therapy; anda controller coupled to the therapy delivery module and the sensor, the controller configured to determine tissue oxygenation measurements in response to the output signal, determine a tissue oxygenation trend in response to the tissue oxygenation measurements, and determine whether the delivered therapy restored cardiac hemodynamic function in response to the determined tissue oxygenation trend, further comprising a storage device coupled to the controller to store a first condition to be selected by the controller during redetecting of the cardiac event in response to the sensed cardiac signals, the first condition corresponding to an increasing trend in the tissue oxygenation measurement being detected, and storing a second condition to be selected by the controller during redetecting of the cardiac event in response to the sensed cardiac signals, the second condition different from the first condition and corresponding to an increasing trend in the tissue oxygenation measurement not being detected. 10. The device of claim 9, wherein the processor is further configured to select the second condition for redetecting the cardiac event in response to an increasing trend in the tissue oxygenation measurement not being detected, and generate an alarm in response to not redetecting the cardiac event according to the selected second condition. 11. The device of claim 9, wherein the processor is further configured to select the second condition for redetecting the cardiac event in response to an increasing trend in the tissue oxygenation measurement not being detected, and deliver one of a pacing therapy and a drug therapy in response to not redetecting the cardiac event according to the selected second condition. 12. The device of claim 9, wherein the processor is further configured to select the first condition for redetecting the cardiac event in response to an increasing trend in the tissue oxygenation measurement being detected, perform redetecting of the cardiac event in response to the first condition and cardiac signals sensed subsequent to delivering the therapy, and delay delivery of therapy in response to redetecting the cardiac event in response to the first condition. 13. The device of claim 12, wherein delaying delivery of therapy comprises one of performing additional cardiac signal analysis and delivering one of a pacing therapy and a drug therapy. 14. A medical device for delivering therapy, comprising: an electrode to sense cardiac signals and to deliver a therapy;a therapy delivery module coupled to the electrode to deliver a therapy via the electrode in response to the sensed cardiac signals corresponding to a predetermined cardiac event;a sensor emitting light and detecting emitted light scattered by a tissue volume adjacent the optical sensor to generate a corresponding detected light intensity output signal;a control module coupled to the sensor to control light emission of the sensor in response to delivering the therapy; anda controller coupled to the therapy delivery module and the sensor, the controller configured to determine tissue oxygenation measurements in response to the output signal, determine a tissue oxygenation trend in response to the tissue oxygenation measurements, and determine whether the delivered therapy restored cardiac hemodynamic function in response to the determined tissue oxygenation trend, wherein the controller is further configured to deliver a signal via the therapy delivery module and the electrode to simulate an arrhythmia, and deliver a therapy via the therapy delivery module and the electrode to terminate the simulated arrhythmia, monitor tissue oxygenation measurements subsequent to terminating the simulated arrhythmia, and set a threshold for a trend in the tissue oxygenation measurement in response to the monitoring, wherein determining whether the delivered arrhythmia therapy restored cardiac hemodynamic function comprises comparing the trend to the threshold. 15. The device of claim 14, further comprising a filter to low pass filter the determined tissue oxygenation measurements. 16. The device of claim 15, further comprising a motion sensor to sense motion and generate a motion signal, wherein the filter receives the motion signal, and sets a pass band for the low pass filtering in response to the received motion signal. 17. The device of claim 14, wherein the processor is further configured to determine delivery of the therapy as non-successful in response to detecting a non-increasing trend in the tissue oxygenation measurement, and cause a next therapy to be delivered via the electrode in response to determining the delivered therapy as non-successful. 18. A non-transitory computer readable medium having computer executable instructions for performing a method comprising: sensing cardiac signals;detecting a cardiac event in response to the sensed cardiac signals;delivering a therapy in response to the detecting a cardiac event;controlling light emission of an optical sensor in response to delivering the therapy;detecting emitted light scattered by a tissue volume adjacent the optical sensor to generate a corresponding detected light intensity output signal;determining tissue oxygenation measurements in response to the output signal;determining a tissue oxygenation trend in response to the determined tissue oxygenation measurements; determining whether the delivered therapy restored cardiac hemodynamic function in response to the determined tissue oxygenation trend;simulating an arrhythmia in the patient;terminating the simulated arrhythmia;monitoring tissue oxygenation measurements subsequent to terminating the simulated arrhythmia; andsetting a threshold for a trend in the tissue oxygenation measurement in response to the monitoring, wherein determining whether the delivered therapy restored cardiac hemodynamic function comprises comparing the trend to the stored threshold.
