A method for displaying, via a user interface, an ambiance setting for a bathing system, the user interface configured to display at least one display page on a display screen, the method implemented by a programmable system including at least one programmable processor comprising: a) displaying on the display screen, a plurality of ambiance settings selectable by a user of the user interface;b) receiving, at a processor, an indication of a selected ambiance setting from the plurality of ambiance settings displayed on the display screen;c) in response to the selected ambiance setting, displaying on the display screen, a first operational setting for at least one bathing unit component of a first type and a second operational setting for at least one bathing unit component of a second type, the first operational setting and the second operational setting being pre-programmed in association with the selected ambiance setting;d) wherein the user interface is configured to display sequentially a first display page and a second display page, wherein the first display page is operative for displaying the plurality of ambiance settings selectable by the user, and the second display page is operative for displaying, in response to the selected ambiance setting, the first operational setting for the at least one bathing unit component of the first type and the second operational setting for the at least one bathing unit component of the second type, wherein a display setting of the second page comprises a background graphic associated with the selected ambiance setting. 3. The method defined in claim 2, further comprising: a) receiving at the processor an indication from a user of a desired adjustment to at least one of the first operational setting and the second operational setting;b) releasing a signal for causing the desired adjustment to be implemented by a corresponding one of the at least one bathing unit component of the first type and the at least one bathing unit component of the second type. 4. The method defined in claim 2, further comprising displaying on the display screen a pictorial icon associated with at least one of the plurality of ambiance settings. 5. The method defined in claim 2, further comprising displaying on the display screen an indication of a status relating to a particular operating parameter associated with the bathing system, the particular operating parameter being at least one of a maintenance status, a filtration status, a heating status, a sanitation status and an audio/visual status. 6. The method defined in claim 2, further comprising displaying on the second display page, time information associated with the selected ambiance setting, the time information conveying a countdown of the remaining activation time for the selected ambiance setting. 7. The method defined in claim 2, further comprising, in response to the selected ambiance setting, transmitting a signal to the bathing unit system for causing: a) the at least one bathing unit component of the first type to acquire the first operational setting; andb) the at least one bathing unit component of the second type to acquire the second operational setting. 8. A method for configuring a graphical user interface for a bathing system, the bathing system comprising a set of bathing unit components, the graphical user interface configured to present sequentially a first display page and a second display page on a display screen, the method implemented by a programmable system including at least one programmable processor and comprising: a) causing the graphical user interface to display on the first display page, a plurality of ambiance settings selectable by a user;b) receiving, at a processor, an indication of a selected ambiance setting from the plurality of ambiance settings displayed on the first display page;c) in response to the selected ambiance setting, causing the graphical user interface to display on the second display page, an operational setting for at least one bathing unit component in the set of bathing unit components, the operational setting being associated with the selected ambiance setting, wherein a display setting of the second display page comprises a background graphic associated with the selected ambiance setting. 9. The method defined in claim 8, wherein the display setting comprises a pictorial icon associated with the selected ambiance setting. 10. The method defined in claim 8, wherein the display setting comprises a representation of a particular set of bathing unit components associated with the selected ambiance setting, and an operational setting associated with at least one of the bathing unit components in the particular set of bathing unit components. 11. The method defined in claim 8, further comprising, in response to the selected ambiance setting, transmitting a signal to the bathing unit system for causing the at least one bathing unit component to acquire the operational setting associated with the selected ambiance setting. 12. A method for allowing a user to control operational settings in a bathing unit system, the method implemented by a programmable system including at least one programmable processor and comprising: a) generating a graphic display on a display device, the graphic display presenting the user with a set of ambiance settings selectable by the user;b) providing a control component in association with the graphic display, the control component allowing the user to issue an ambiance selection command, the ambiance selection command conveying an ambiance setting selected by the user from the set of ambiance settings;c) following receipt of a specific ambiance selection command conveying a specific ambiance setting selected by the user: i) processing the selected ambiance setting to derive corresponding pre-programmed operational settings associated with two or more bathing unit components in the bathing unit system, the derived corresponding operational settings conveying a first operational setting for a bathing unit component of a first type and a second operational setting for a bathing unit component of a second type;ii) presenting the user with a customized set of input options on the display device for allowing the user to issue operational settings adjustment commands for adjusting operational settings associated with at least some bathing unit components in the bathing unit system, wherein the customized set of input options presented to the user varies at least in part based on the specific ambiance setting selected by the user. 13. The method defined in claim 12, further comprising, following receipt of the specific ambiance selection command conveying the specific ambiance setting selected by the user, transmitting a signal to the bathing unit system for causing the two or more bathing unit components in the bathing unit system to acquire the pre-programmed operational settings specified by the specific ambiance setting selected by the user. 14. The method defined in claim 13, wherein the customized set of input options conveys a listing of user selectable audio options and wherein the listing of user selectable audio options varies at least in part based on the specific ambiance setting selected by the user. 15. The method defined in claim 14, whether the method comprising, following receipt of the specific ambiance selection command conveying the specific ambiance setting selected by the user, displaying information on the display device conveying the pre-programmed operational settings for the two or more bathing unit components specified by the specific ambiance setting. 16. The method defined in claim 13, wherein the customized set of input options conveys a listing of user selectable spa lighting parameters and wherein the listing of user selectable lighting parameters presented to the user varies at least in part based on the specific ambiance setting selected by the user. 17. The method defined in claim 13, wherein the customized set of input options conveys input options for adjusting operational settings associated with a specific sub-set of bathing unit components in the bathing unit system, wherein the specific sub-set of bathing unit components varies at least in part based on the specific ambiance setting selected by the user. 18. The method defined in claim 13, further comprising, following receipt of the specific ambiance selection command conveying the specific ambiance setting selected by the user, displaying a background graphic associated with specific ambiance setting selected by the user. 19. The method defined in claim 13, further comprising, following receipt of an operational settings adjustment command provided by the user through the set of input options, the operational settings command conveying a desired adjustment to an operational setting associated with a specific bathing unit component in the bathing unit system, transmitting a signal to the bathing unit system for causing the desired adjustment to be implemented by the specific bathing unit component. 20. The method defined in claim 13, further comprising, following receipt of an operational settings adjustment commands provided by the user through the set of input options, the operational settings adjustment command conveying a desired adjustment to an operational setting associated with a specific bathing unit component in the bathing unit system, modifying the pre-programmed operational settings associated with the specific ambiance setting selected by the user at least in part based on the desired adjustment. 21. The method defined in claim 13, wherein the bathing unit system includes at least some bathing unit components selected amongst a water pump, a lighting unit, water jets, a heating device, a sanitization device and an audio/visual component. 22. The method defined in claim 12, whether the method comprising, following receipt of the specific ambiance selection command conveying the specific ambiance setting selected by the user, displaying information on the display device conveying the pre-programmed operational settings for the two or more bathing unit components specified by the specific ambiance setting. 23. The method defined in claim 22, wherein the method comprises sequentially displaying a first display page and a second display page, wherein the first display page is operative for displaying the set of ambiance settings selectable by the user, and the second display page is operative for displaying, following receipt of the selected ambiance setting, the information conveying the pre-programmed operational settings for the two or more bathing unit components specified by the specific ambiance setting. 24. The method defined in claim 12, wherein the pre-programmed operational settings associated with the specific ambiance setting selected by the user are pre-programmed by a manufacturer of the bathing system. 25. The method defined in claim 12, wherein the pre-programmed operational settings associated with the specific ambiance setting selected by the user are pre-programmed by the user of the bathing system. 26. The method defined in claim 12, wherein: a) the bathing unit component of the first type is one of a water pump, a lighting unit, a water jet, a heating device, a sanitization device and an audio/visual component; andb) the bathing unit component of the second type is different from the bathing unit component of the first type and is one of a water pump, a lighting unit, a water jet, a heating device, a sanitization device and an audio/visual component. 27. A computer program product, tangibly stored on a non transient computer readable storage media, for allowing a user to control operational settings in a bathing unit system, the computer program product comprising instructions that, when executed, cause a programmable device including at least one programmable processor to perform operations, the operations comprising: a) generating a graphic display on a display screen associated with the programmable device, the graphic display presenting the user with a set of ambiance settings selectable by the user;b) providing a control component in association with the graphic display, the control component allowing the user to issue an ambiance selection command, the ambiance selection command conveying an ambiance setting selected by the user from the set of ambiance settings;c) following receipt of a specific ambiance selection command conveying a specific ambiance setting selected by the user: i) processing the selected ambiance setting to derive corresponding pre-programmed operational settings associated with two or more bathing unit components in the bathing unit system, the derived corresponding operational settings conveying a first operational setting for a bathing unit component of a first type and a second operational setting for a bathing unit component of a second type;ii) presenting the user with a customized set of input options on the display screen for allowing the user to issue operational settings adjustment commands for adjusting operational settings associated with at least some bathing unit components in the bathing unit system, wherein the customized set of input options presented to the user varies at least in part based on the specific ambiance setting selected by the user. 28. The computer program product defined in claim 27, wherein the operations further comprise, following receipt of the specific ambiance selection command conveying the specific ambiance setting selected by the user, transmitting a signal to the bathing unit system for causing the two or more bathing unit components in the bathing unit system to acquire the pre-programmed operational settings specified by the specific ambiance setting selected by the user. 29. The computer program product defined in claim 28, wherein the customized set of input options conveys a listing of user selectable audio options and wherein the listing of user selectable audio options varies at least in part based on the specific ambiance setting selected by the user. 30. The computer program product defined in claim 28, wherein the customized set of input options conveys a listing of user selectable spa lighting parameters and wherein the listing of user selectable lighting parameters presented to the user varies at least in part based on the specific ambiance setting selected by the user. 31. The computer program product defined in claim 28, wherein the customized set of input options conveys input options for adjustment operational settings associated with a specific sub-set of bathing unit components in the bathing unit system, and wherein the specific sub-set of bathing unit components varies at least in part based on the specific ambiance setting selected by the user. 32. The computer program product defined in claim 28, wherein the operations further comprise, following receipt of the specific ambiance selection command conveying the specific ambiance setting selected by the user, displaying on the display screen a background graphic associated with specific ambiance setting selected by the user. 33. The computer program product defined in claim 28, wherein the operations further comprise, following receipt of an operational settings adjustment command provided by the user through the set of input options, the operational settings command conveying a desired adjustment to an operational setting associated with a specific bathing unit component in the bathing unit system, transmitting a signal to the bathing unit system for causing the desired adjustment to be implemented by the specific bathing unit component. 34. The computer program product defined in claim 28, wherein the operations further comprise, following receipt of an operational settings adjustment commands provided by the user through the set of input options, the operational settings adjustment command conveying a desired adjustment to an operational setting associated with a specific bathing unit component in the bathing unit system, modifying the pre-programmed operational settings associated with the specific ambiance setting selected by the user at least in part based on the desired adjustment. 35. The computer program product defined in claim 28, wherein the bathing unit system includes at least some bathing unit components selected amongst a water pump, a lighting unit, water jets, a heating device, a sanitization device and an audio/visual component. 36. The computer product defined in claim 28, wherein the operations further comprise, following receipt of the specific ambiance selection command conveying the specific ambiance setting selected by the user, displaying information on the display screen conveying the pre-programmed operational settings for the two or more bathing unit components specified by the specific ambiance setting. 37. The computer program product defined in claim 36, wherein the operations comprise sequentially displaying a first display page and a second display page, wherein the first display page displays the set of ambiance settings selectable by the user, and the second display page displays, following receipt of the selected ambiance setting, the information conveying the pre-programmed operational settings for the two or more bathing unit components specified by the specific ambiance setting. 38. The computer program product defined in claim 27, wherein the pre-programmed operational settings associated with the specific ambiance setting selected by the user are pre-programmed by a manufacturer of the bathing system. 39. The computer program product defined in claim 27, wherein the pre-programmed operational settings associated with the specific ambiance setting selected by the user are pre-programmed by the user of the bathing system. 40. The computer program product defined in claim 27, wherein: a) the bathing unit component of the first type is one of a water pump, a lighting unit, a water jet, a heating device, a sanitization device and an audio/visual component; andb) the bathing unit component of the second type is different from the bathing unit component of the first type and is one of a water pump, a lighting unit, a water jet, a heating device, a sanitization device and an audio/visual component. 41. A computing device suitable for establishing a network connection with a bathing system having a set of bathing unit component, the computing device comprising: a) a display screen;b) an input interface for allowing a user to enter information;c) at least one processor in communication with the display screen and with the input interface, the at least one processor being programmed with computer executable code for: i) generating a graphic display on the display screen, the graphic display presenting the user with a set of ambiance settings selectable by the user;ii) providing a control component in association with the input interface, the control component allowing the user to issue an ambiance selection command, the ambiance selection command conveying an ambiance setting selected by the user from the set of ambiance settings;iii) following receipt of a specific ambiance selection command conveying a specific ambiance setting selected by the user: i) processing the selected ambiance setting to derive corresponding pre-programmed operational settings associated with two or more bathing unit components in the bathing unit system, the derived corresponding operational settings conveying a first operational setting for a bathing unit component of a first type and a second operational setting for a bathing unit component of a second type;ii) on the display screen, presenting the user with a customized set of input options for allowing the user to issue operational settings adjustment commands for adjusting operational settings associated with at least some bathing unit components in the bathing unit system, wherein the customized set of input options presented to the user varies at least in part based on the specific ambiance setting selected by the user;iii) generating a signal conveying the pre-programmed operational settings specified by the specific ambiance setting selected by the user;d) an output for releasing the signal to the bathing system over the network connection for causing the two or more bathing unit components in the bathing unit system to acquire the pre-programmed operational settings specified by the specific ambiance setting selected by the user. 42. The computing device defined in claim 41, wherein the input interface includes at least one of a trackball, a mouse, a gyroscope remote, a keypad, a touch sensitive screen, turn-dials, turn-and-push dials, a stylus pen and a microphone. 43. The computing device defined in claim 41, wherein the computing device is implemented by a smartphone device. 44. The computing device defined in claim 41, wherein the customized set of input options conveys a listing of user selectable audio options and wherein the listing of user selectable audio options varies at least in part based on the specific ambiance setting selected by the user. 45. The computing device defined in claim 41, wherein the at least one processor is programmed with computer executable code for, in response to receipt of an operational settings adjustment commands provided by the user through the set of input options, the operational settings adjustment command conveying a desired adjustment to an operational setting associated with a specific bathing unit component in the bathing unit system, modifying the pre-programmed operational settings associated with the specific ambiance setting selected by the user at least in part based on the desired adjustment. 50. The computing device defined in claim 41, wherein the bathing unit system includes at least some bathing unit components selected amongst a water pump, a lighting unit, water jets, a heating device, a sanitization device and an audio/visual component. 51. The computing device defined in claim 41, wherein the pre-programmed operational settings associated with the specific ambiance setting selected by the user are pre-programmed by a manufacturer of the bathing system. 52. The computing device defined in claim 41, wherein the pre-programmed operational settings associated with the specific ambiance setting selected by the user are pre-programmed by the user of the bathing system. 53. The computer device defined in claim 41, wherein the at least one processor being programmed with computer executable code for, following receipt of the specific ambiance selection command conveying the specific ambiance setting selected by the user, displaying information on the display screen conveying the pre-programmed operational settings for the two or more bathing unit components specified by the specific ambiance setting. 54. The computing device defined in claim 53, wherein the at least one processor is programmed with computer executable code for sequentially displaying a first display page and a second display page, wherein the first display page displays the set of ambiance settings selectable by the user, and the second display page displays, following receipt of the selected ambiance setting, the information conveying the pre-programmed operational settings for the two or more bathing unit components specified by the specific ambiance setting. 55. The computing device defined in claim 41, wherein: a) the bathing unit component of the first type is one of a water pump, a lighting unit, a water jet, a heating device, a sanitization device and an audio/visual component; andb) the bathing unit component of the second type is different from the bathing unit component of the first type and is one of a water pump, a lighting unit, a water jet, a heating device, a sanitization device and an audio/visual component. 56. A bathing system, comprising: a) a plurality of bathing unit components, the plurality of bathing unit components including a bathing unit component of a first type and a bathing unit component of a second type;b) a bathing unit controller for issuing signals for controlling the plurality of bathing unit components;c) a user control interface in communication with the bathing unit controller, the user control interface being configured for: i) presenting the user with a set of ambiance settings selectable by the user;ii) providing a control component allowing the user to issue an ambiance selection command, the ambiance selection command conveying an ambiance setting selected by the user from the set of ambiance settings;iii) following receipt of a specific ambiance selection command conveying a specific ambiance setting selected by the user: i) processing the selected ambiance setting to derive corresponding pre-programmed operational settings associated with two or more bathing unit components amongst the plurality of bathing unit components in the bathing unit system, the derived corresponding operational settings conveying a first operational setting for the bathing unit component of the first type and a second operational setting for the bathing unit component of the second type;ii) presenting the user with a customized set of input options for allowing the user to issue operational settings adjustment commands for adjusting operational settings associated with at least some bathing unit components in the bathing unit system, wherein the customized set of input options presented to the user varies at least in part based on the specific ambiance setting selected by the user. 57. The bathing system defined in claim 56, wherein the control interface is further configured for, following receipt of the specific ambiance selection command conveying the specific ambiance setting selected by the user, transmitting a signal to the bathing unit controller for causing the two or more bathing unit components in the bathing unit system to acquire the pre-programmed operational settings specified by the specific ambiance setting selected by the user. 58. The bathing unit system defined in claim 57, wherein the control interface is further configured for, following receipt of the specific ambiance selection command conveying the specific ambiance setting selected by the user, displaying information on the display device conveying the pre-programmed operational settings for the two or more bathing unit components specified by the specific ambiance setting. 59. The bathing system defined in claim 57, wherein the user control interface is in communication with the bathing unit controller via a communication network. 60. A method for displaying, via a user interface, an ambiance setting for a bathing system, the user interface configured to display at least one display page on a display screen, the method implemented by a programmable system including at least one programmable processor and comprising: a) displaying on the display screen, a plurality of ambiance settings selectable by a user of the user interface;b) receiving, at a processor, an indication of a selected ambiance setting from the plurality of ambiance settings displayed on the display screen;c) following receipt of the selected ambiance setting: i) processing the selected ambiance setting to derive corresponding pre-programmed operational settings associated with two or more bathing unit components in the bathing unit system,ii) displaying on the display screen a background graphic associated with the selected ambiance setting. 61. The method defined in claim 60, further comprising, following receipt of the specific ambiance selection command conveying the specific ambiance setting selected by the user, transmitting a signal to the bathing unit system for causing the two or more bathing unit components in the bathing unit system to acquire the pre-programmed operational settings specified by the specific ambiance setting selected by the user.
