A method is disclosed. It includes displaying, by a device, an authentication image including a plurality of image elements comprising a set of image elements, wherein the image elements in the set of image elements are located at a set of positions on a display screen. The method also comprises receiving, at the device, a glyph having a configuration corresponding to the set of image elements from a user while the authentication image is displayed. The method further comprises determining if the glyph is authentic, and initiating a payment transaction after receiving the glyph.

1. A device comprising: a processor;a display screen coupled to the processor; anda computer readable medium coupled to the processor, the computer readable medium comprising code executable by the processor, for implementing a method comprising:displaying an authentication image on the display screen comprising a plurality of image elements comprising a set of image elements, wherein the plurality of image elements in the set of image elements are located at a set of fixed positions on the display screen;receiving a glyph comprising a single continuous stroke drawn by a user on the display screen without pausing that sequentially connects at least two of the plurality of image elements of the set of image elements of the authentication image, wherein the glyph comprises a configuration corresponding to the set of fixed positions displayed on the display screen, and wherein the plurality of image elements are separate from a keyboard of the device and are configured to change positions with each successive authentication image for each separate transaction;determining if the glyph is authentic; andinitiating a payment transaction after receiving the glyph. 2. The device of claim 1 wherein the display screen comprises a touch screen, which is capable of allowing a user to input data into the device by touching the touch screen with a finger or a stylus. 3. The device of claim 1 wherein the computer readable medium also stores code for at least one account number associated with at least one of a debit card or credit card. 4. The device of claim 1 wherein the method further comprises: providing an indication that the glyph is or is not considered authentic. 5. The device of claim 1, wherein the set of image elements displayed on the display screen at the set of positions provides a visual aid to the user to assist drawing the glyph on the screen. 6. The device of claim 1, wherein the glyph is generated by the user moving a first image element of the set of image elements form a first position, relative to a second image element, to a second position relative to the second image element. 7. The device of claim 1, wherein the glyph drawn by the user is not displayed on the display screen. 8. The device of claim 1, wherein successive authentication images are presented to the user in successive transactions, wherein image elements of the set of image elements change positions with each successive authentication image. 9. The device of claim 8, wherein the glyphs have different configurations based on different authentication images. 10. A method comprising: displaying, on a display screen of a device, an authentication image comprising a plurality of image elements comprising a set of image elements, wherein the plurality of image elements in the set of image elements are located at a set of fixed positions on the display screen;receiving, at the device, a glyph comprising a single continuous stroke drawn by a user on the display screen without pausing that sequentially connects at least two of the plurality of image elements of the set of image elements of the authentication image, the glyph having a configuration corresponding to the set of fixed positions of the set of image elements displayed on the display screen, wherein the plurality of image elements are separate from a keyboard of the device and are configured to change positions with each successive authentication image for each separate transaction;determining if the glyph is authentic; andinitiating a payment transaction after receiving the glyph. 11. The method of claim 10 further comprising: after receiving the glyph, providing an indication that the glyph is or is not considered authentic. 12. The method of claim 10 wherein initiating a payment transaction comprises sending an authorization request message to a payment processing network or an issuer, wherein the authorization request message requests approval of the payment transaction by the payment processing network or the issuer. 13. The method of claim 10 wherein the authentication image comprises a three dimensional image element. 14. The method of claim 10 wherein the payment transaction is a purchase made over the Internet. 15. The method of claim 10 wherein the purchase transaction is conducted at a physical point of sale. 16. The method of claim 10, wherein the set of image elements displayed on the display screen at the set of positions provides a visual aid to the user to assist drawing the glyph on the screen. 17. The method of claim 10, wherein the glyph is generated by the user moving a first image element of the set of image elements form a first position, relative to a second image element, to a second position relative to the second image element. 18. The method of claim 10, wherein the glyph drawn by the user is not displayed on the display screen. 19. The method of claim 10, further comprising presenting successive authentication images to the user in successive transactions, wherein image elements of the set of image elements change positions with each successive authentication image. 20. The method of claim 19, wherein the glyphs have different configurations based on different authentication images. 21. A method comprising: receiving, using a device having a display screen, a glyph comprising a single continuous stroke drawn by a user on the display screen without pausing that sequentially connects at least two of a plurality of image elements of a set of image elements of an authentication image displayed on the display screen, wherein the plurality of image elements in the set of image elements are located at a set of fixed positions on the display screen and the glyph comprises a configuration corresponding to the set of fixed positions, and wherein the plurality of image elements are separate from a keyboard of the device and are configured to change positions on the display with each successive authentication image for separate transactions;determining if the glyph is authentic; andreceiving payment transaction data after receiving the glyph and conducting a transaction using the payment transaction data. 22. The method of claim 21 wherein the display is part of a phone.
