A staple cartridge for use with a surgical stapler actuatable to fasten tissue captured by the surgical stapler, the staple cartridge comprising: a staple comprising a crown and a deformable member, wherein said deformable member is slidable relative to said crown, wherein said crown and said deformable member are positioned on the same side of the captured tissue prior to actuating the surgical stapler to fasten the tissue; anda staple cartridge body, wherein at least a portion of said deformable member is removably stored within said staple cartridge body, and wherein at least a portion of said crown is removably stored within said staple cartridge body. 2. The staple cartridge of claim 1, wherein said staple cartridge body comprises: a deck;a cavity configured to removably store at least a portion of said deformable member, wherein said cavity comprises an opening in said deck; anda recess configured to removably store at least a portion of said crown, wherein said recess surrounds said opening such that said crown is aligned with said deformable member when said deformable member is positioned in said cavity and said crown is positioned in said recess. 3. The staple cartridge of claim 2, wherein said deck has a top surface, and wherein at least a portion of said crown extends above said top surface when said crown is positioned within said recess. 4. The staple cartridge of claim 1, wherein said staple cartridge body further comprises a deck, and wherein said crown is removably attached to said deck. 5. The staple cartridge of claim 1, wherein said deformable member is configured to pierce said crown. 6. The staple cartridge of claim 1, wherein said staple further comprises a base, wherein said deformable member extends from said base, wherein said crown comprises a recess, and wherein said recess is configured to receive at least a portion of said base. 7. The staple cartridge of claim 6, wherein said base is configured to be at least one of snap-fit and press-fit into said recess of said crown, and wherein said base is immovable relative to said crown when said base is positioned within said recess. 8. A staple cartridge for use with a surgical stapler, comprising: a staple comprising a crown and a deformable member, wherein said deformable member is slidable relative to said crown; anda staple cartridge body, wherein at least a portion of said deformable member is removably stored within said staple cartridge body, and wherein at least a portion of said crown is removably stored within said staple cartridge body, the staple cartridge further comprising a staple driver, wherein said staple cartridge body further comprises a deck, wherein said crown is unitarily-formed with said deck, wherein said staple further comprises a base, wherein said deformable member extends from said base, and wherein said staple driver is configured to force said base of said staple against said crown and dislodge said crown from said deck. 9. A staple cartridge for use with a surgical stapler, comprising: a staple comprising a crown and a deformable member, wherein said deformable member is slidable relative to said crown; anda staple cartridge body, wherein at least a portion of said deformable member is removably stored within said staple cartridge body, wherein at least a portion of said crown is removably stored within said staple cartridge body, wherein said staple further comprises a base, and wherein said crown further comprises:a first side comprising a tissue contacting surface;a second side comprising a drive surface, wherein said drive surface is configured to be contacted by said base of said staple; andan aperture extending between said first side and said second side, wherein said deformable member is slidable relative to said crown within said aperture. 10. A staple cartridge for use with a surgical stapler, comprising: a staple comprising a crown and a deformable member, wherein said deformable member is slidable relative to said crown; anda staple cartridge body, wherein at least a portion of said deformable member is removably stored within said staple cartridge body, wherein at least a portion of said crown is removably stored within said staple cartridge body, wherein said staple further comprises a base, and wherein said crown further comprises:a first side comprising a tissue contacting surface;a second side comprising a drive surface, wherein said drive surface is configured to be contacted by said base of said staple; anda slot, wherein said deformable member is slideable relative to said crown within said slot. 11. A staple cartridge for use with a surgical stapler, comprising: a staple comprising a crown and a deformable member, wherein said deformable member is slidable relative to said crown; anda staple cartridge body, wherein at least a portion of said deformable member is removably stored within said staple cartridge body, wherein at least a portion of said crown is removably stored within said staple cartridge body, wherein said crown further comprise an aperture extending therethrough, wherein said deformable member is movable between an undeployed position and a deployed position, and wherein at least a portion of said deformable member is positioned within said aperture when said deformable member is in said undeployed position and said deployed position. 12. A staple cartridge for use with a surgical stapler actuatable to fasten tissue captured by the surgical stapler, the staple cartridge comprising: a staple comprising a crown and a deformable member, wherein said deformable member is slidable relative to said crown, wherein said crown and said deformable member are positioned on the same side of the captured tissue prior to actuating the surgical stapler to fasten the tissue; anda staple cartridge body, wherein at least a portion of said deformable member is removably stored within said staple cartridge body, and wherein at least a portion of said crown is removably engaged with said staple cartridge body. 13. The staple cartridge of claim 12, wherein said staple cartridge body comprises: a deck;a cavity configured to removably store at least a portion of said deformable member, wherein said cavity comprises an opening in said deck; anda recess configured to removably store at least a portion of said crown, wherein said recess surrounds said opening such that said crown is aligned with said deformable member when said deformable member is positioned in said cavity and said crown is positioned in said recess. 14. The staple cartridge of claim 13, wherein said deck has a top surface, and wherein at least a portion of said crown extends above said top surface when said crown is positioned within said recess. 15. The staple cartridge of claim 12, wherein said staple cartridge body further comprises a deck, and wherein said crown is removably attached to said deck. 16. The staple cartridge of claim 12, wherein said deformable member is configured to pierce said crown. 17. The staple cartridge of claim 12, wherein said staple further comprises a base, wherein said deformable member extends from said base, wherein said crown comprises a recess, and wherein said recess is configured to receive at least a portion of said base. 18. The staple cartridge of claim 17, wherein said base is configured to be at least one of snap-fit and press-fit into said recess of said crown, and wherein said base is immovable relative to said crown when said base is positioned within said recess. 19. A staple cartridge for use with a surgical stapler, comprising: a staple comprising a crown and a deformable member, wherein said deformable member is slidable relative to said crown; anda staple cartridge body, wherein at least a portion of said deformable member is removably stored within said staple cartridge body, wherein at least a portion of said crown is removably engaged with said staple cartridge body, wherein said staple cartridge body further comprises a deck, wherein said crown is unitarily-formed with said deck, wherein said staple further comprises a base, wherein said deformable member extends from said base, wherein said stable cartridge body further comprises a staple driver, and wherein said staple driver is configured to force said base of said staple against said crown and dislodge said crown from said deck. 20. A staple cartridge for use with a surgical stapler, comprising: a staple comprising a crown and a deformable member, wherein said deformable member is slidable relative to said crown; anda staple cartridge body, wherein at least a portion of said deformable member is removably stored within said staple cartridge body, wherein at least a portion of said crown is removably engaged with said staple cartridge body, wherein said staple further comprises a base, and wherein said crown further comprises:a first side comprising a tissue contacting surface;a second side comprising a drive surface, wherein said drive surface is configured to be contacted by said base of said staple; andan aperture extending between said first side and said second side, wherein said deformable member is slidable relative to said crown within said aperture. 21. A staple cartridge for use with a surgical stapler, comprising: a staple comprising a crown and a deformable member, wherein said deformable member is slidable relative to said crown; anda staple cartridge body, wherein at least a portion of said deformable member is removably stored within said staple cartridge body, wherein at least a portion of said crown is removably engaged with said staple cartridge body, wherein said crown further comprise an aperture extending therethrough, wherein said deformable member is movable between an undeployed position and a deployed position, and wherein at least a portion of said deformable member is positioned within said aperture when said deformable member is in said undeployed position and said deployed position. 23. A staple cartridge for use with a surgical stapler, comprising: a staple movable between an unfired configuration and a fired configuration to fasten tissue, said staple comprising: a base; anda deformable member extending from said base;a pressure distribution member, wherein said deformable member is slidable relative to said pressure distribution member, said pressure distribution member comprising: a base facing side; anda tissue facing side, wherein said tissue facing side and said deformable member define a tissue entrapment area therebetween when said staple is in said fired configuration; anda staple cartridge body, wherein at least a portion of said deformable member is removably stored within said staple cartridge body, wherein at least a portion of said pressure distribution member is removably assembled to said staple cartridge body, wherein said pressure distribution member and said deformable member are positioned on the same side of the tissue prior to moving said staple to fasten the tissue, and wherein said deformable member is partially positioned within said pressure distribution member in said unfired configuration.
