The device of claim 16, wherein the first heating element is part of the first external housing; and the second heating element is part of the second external housing. 20. The device of claim 16, wherein the first external housing and the second external housing further comprise a latch mechanism; wherein the latch mechanism is configured to hold the first golf ball receiving unit and the second golf ball receiving unit together when engaged;wherein the latch mechanism is connected to a manual release mechanism, wherein the manual release mechanism is configured to release the latch mechanism upon a user initiated input. 21.
