A sports electronic training system, and applications thereof, are disclosed. In an embodiment, the system comprises at least one monitor and a portable electronic processing device for receiving data from the at least one monitor and providing feedback to an individual based on the received data. The monitor can be a motion monitor that measures an individual's performance such as, for example, speed, pace and distance for a runner. Other monitors might include a heart rate monitor, a temperature monitor, an altimeter, et cetera. Feedback provided to a user typically includes, for example, training information such as whether the user is satisfying specific workout and/or training criteria. In an embodiment, the functionality of the sports electronic training system is enhanced by enabling the portable electronic processing device to interact with other devices and applications, for example, using the Internet.

1. A method of providing training feedback to an individual, comprising: monitoring movement of the individual during a workout with a plurality of accelerometers;calculating information about the movement of the individual based on the monitoring;asking the individual at least one question during the workout;correlating the answer to the at least one question asked to the information calculated based on the monitoring with the plurality of accelerometers; andproviding a new performance goal to the individual based on the correlation of the answer to the at least one question to the calculated information. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the monitoring comprises monitoring movement of the individual's feet. 3. The method of claim 1, wherein the monitoring comprises monitoring movement of the individual's legs. 4. The method of claim 1, wherein the monitoring comprises monitoring movement of the individual's wrists. 5. The method of claim 1, wherein the monitoring comprises monitoring movement of the individual's arms. 6. The method of claim 1, wherein the calculating information about the movement comprises calculating running biomechanics information. 7. The method of claim 1, wherein the calculating information about the movement comprises calculating rotational acceleration values. 8. The method of claim 1, wherein the calculating information about the movement comprises calculating translational acceleration values. 9. The method of claim 1, wherein the correlating the answer comprises conducting the correlation after completion of the workout. 10. The method of claim 1, wherein the asking the individual at least one question comprises: asking the individual how they are feeling. 11. The method of claim 10, wherein the individual is asked if they are feeling tired. 12. The method of claim 10, wherein the individual is asked if their legs hurt. 13. The method of claim 1, wherein the new performance goal is provided to the individual during the workout. 14. The method of claim 1, wherein the new performance goal is provided to the individual outside of the workout period. 15. A method of providing training feedback to an individual, comprising: monitoring movement of the individual during a workout;calculating a performance parameter based on the monitoring;asking the individual at least one question during the workout;utilizing both the answer to the at least one question asked and the performance parameter to determine a new performance goal; andproviding the new performance goal to the individual based on a correlation between the answer to the at least one question and the performance parameter. 16. The method of claim 15, wherein the asking the individual at least one question comprises: asking the individual how they are feeling. 17. The method of claim 15, wherein the new performance goal is provided to the individual during the workout. 18. The method of claim 15, wherein the new performance goal is provided to the individual outside of the workout period. 19. A method of providing training feedback to an individual, comprising: providing the individual with an original speed or pace goal for a workout;monitoring the speed or pace of the individual during the workout and recording speed or pace data;determining how the recorded speed or pace data compares to the original speed or pace goal;asking the individual to assess their mental or physical condition during the workout and receiving an answer to the question;correlating the answer to the question to how the recorded speed or pace data compares to the original speed or pace goal; andproviding the individual with an updated speed or pace goal based on the correlation. 20. The method of claim 19, wherein the recorded speed or pace data is average speed or pace data for the entire workout, and wherein the answer to the question reflects the individual's assessment of their mental or physical condition overall during the workout. 21. The method of claim 19, wherein the recorded speed or pace data is speed or pace data for only a subset of the entire workout, and wherein the answer to the question reflects the individual's assessment of their mental or physical condition during that subset of the entire workout. 22. The method of claim 19, further comprising determining where the answer to the question falls on a scale of possible answers to the question. 23. The method of claim 22, wherein correlating the answer to the question to the recorded speed or pace data comprises correlating where the answer to the question falls on a scale of possible answers to how the recorded speed or pace data compares to the original speed or pace goal. 24. The method of claim 19, wherein asking the individual to assess their mental or physical condition during the workout occurs during the workout. 25. The method of claim 19, wherein providing the individual with an updated speed or pace goal occurs during the workout. 26. The method of claim 19, wherein asking the individual to assess their mental or physical condition during the workout occurs outside of the workout period. 27. The method of claim 19, wherein providing the individual with an updated speed or pace goal occurs outside of the workout period. 28. A method of providing training feedback to an individual, comprising: providing the individual with an original heart rate goal for a workout;monitoring the heart rate of the individual during the workout and recording heart rate data;asking the individual to assess their mental or physical condition during the workout and receiving an answer to the question;correlating the answer to the question to the recorded heart rate data; andproviding the individual with an updated heart rate goal based on the correlation. 29. The method of claim 28, wherein the recorded heart rate data is average heart rate data for the entire workout, and wherein the answer to the question reflects the individual's assessment of their mental or physical condition overall during the workout. 30.
