A hose control system is provided. A flow controller has an inlet, an outlet, a fluid flow path defined between the inlet and outlet, and an electrically actuated valve positioned to selectively open or close the fluid flow path. A hose reel device comprises a rotatable spool member onto which a hose can be wound. An electrically controllable motor is connected to rotate the spool member in wind and unwind directions.
