The composition of claim 2, wherein the juvenile cartilage particles are distributed within about 60% or less of the matrix. 14. The composition of claim 1, wherein the retainer is selected from the group consisting of a flap, a plug, a disc, a sheet and a patch. 16. The composition of claim 1, wherein the retainer comprises a periosteal flap. 17. The composition of claim 1, wherein the retainer comprises a synthetic membrane. 18. The composition of claim 1, wherein the retainer comprises a sutureless attachment. 19. The composition of claim 2, wherein the matrix comprises fibrin. 20. The composition of claim 2, wherein the matrix comprises polyethylene glycol. 21. The composition of claim 2, wherein the matrix is selected from the group consisting of plasma-based adhesives or sealants, protein-based adhesives or sealants, natural adhesives or sealants, and any combination thereof. 22.
