The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the flushing medium comprises a multiple component fluid. 3. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the pump includes a pumping element coupled to a shaft. 4. The apparatus of claim 3, further comprising a first labyrinth seal disposed on the shaft at an end of the rotor cavity, said first labyrinth seal being adapted to restrict flow between the rotor cavity and the pumping element. 5. The apparatus of claim 4, further comprising: a first bearing operable to support the shaft;a second can operable to enclose at least a portion of the first bearing; anda second labyrinth seal disposed on the shaft, said second labyrinth seal being adapted to restrict flow between the second can and the pumping element. 6. The apparatus of claim 5, wherein the flushing system is operable to provide the flushing medium to a second cavity defined by the second can. 7. The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a magnetic radial bearing supporting the rotor and at least partially disposed within the rotor cavity. 8. The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising at least one magnetic thrust bearing supporting one of the rotor or a shaft of the pump and being disposed within the rotor cavity. 9. The apparatus of claim 8, wherein the magnetic thrust bearing comprises a plurality of stages. 10. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the first can comprises carbon fiber. 11. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the rotor comprises a permanent magnet rotor. 12. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the stator cavity is filled with a fixity material comprising at least one of epoxy resin, metallic material, close-packed powder, close-packed particles, or close-packed beads. 13. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the first can is adapted to separate a fluid in the stator cavity from the flushing medium in the rotor cavity. 14. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the flushing system is further operable to provide a flushing medium comprising a liquid to the rotor cavity. 15. A system, comprising a well disposed under a body of water;a pump coupled to the well, the pump residing outside of a wellbore of the well and in and below a surface of said body of water;a motor operatively coupled to the pump, the motor including: a stator disposed in a stator cavity;a rotor disposed in a rotor cavity; anda can positioned between and separating the rotor cavity from the stator cavity, wherein the rotor cavity is interior of the can and the stator cavity is exterior of the can; anda flushing system operable to provide a flushing medium comprising a gas to the rotor cavity. 16. The apparatus of claim 15, further comprising an impeller mounted to the rotor, disposed within the rotor cavity, and operable to increase a pressure of the flushing medium. 17. The apparatus of claim 15, further comprising a flushing pump operable to increase a pressure of the flushing medium. 18. The system of claim 15, wherein the can is adapted to separate a fluid in the stator cavity from the flushing medium in the rotor cavity. 19. The system of claim 15, wherein the flushing system is further operable to provide a flushing medium comprising a liquid to the rotor cavity. 20. An apparatus, comprising: a pump for pumping a multiple component fluid comprising gas and liquid;a motor operatively coupled to the pump, the pump and motor configured to be disposed in a body of water, the motor including:a stator disposed in a stator cavity;a rotor disposed in a rotor cavity; anda first can positioned between and separating the rotor cavity from the stator cavity, wherein the rotor cavity is interior of the first can and the stator cavity is exterior of the first can;a flushing system operable to provide a flushing medium comprising a gas to the rotor cavity; anda flushing pump operable to increase pressure of the flushing medium. 21. The apparatus of claim 20, where the flushing pump comprises an impeller mounted to the rotor and disposed within the rotor cavity. 22. The apparatus of claim 20, where the flushing pump is driven by a device extracting power from flow of a fluid pumped by the pump. 23. The apparatus of claim 20, wherein the flushing pump is driven by a device extracting power from flow of at least a portion of the multiple component fluid. 24. An apparatus, comprising: a pump for pumping a multiple component fluid comprising gas and liquid;a motor operatively coupled to the pump, the pump and motor configured to be disposed in a body of water, the motor including:a stator disposed in a stator cavity;a rotor disposed in a rotor cavity; anda first can positioned between and separating the rotor cavity from the stator cavity, wherein the rotor cavity is interior of the first can and the stator cavity is exterior of the first can; anda flushing system operable to provide a flushing medium comprising a gas to the rotor cavity, the flushing system comprising a separator operable to extract a gas component of the multiple component fluid and provide the gas component as the flushing medium. 25. The apparatus of claim 24, wherein the separator is operable to extract a liquid component from the multiple component process fluid, further comprising a pathway operable to route at least a portion of the liquid component to an insertion point upstream of the pump. 26. The apparatus of claim 24, wherein the separator is downstream of the pump.
