A base of a container may include a standing surface, a first wall, a second wall, a first hinge, and a second hinge. The first hinge may be positioned between the standing surface and the first wall, the first wall being rotateable about the first hinge relative to a longitudinal axis of the container. The second hinge may be positioned between the first wall and the second wall, the second wall being rotateable about the second hinge relative to the longitudinal axis of the container, where rigidity of the base prevents substantial net distortion of the base during rotation of the second wall.

1. A base of a container formed by blow molding and comprising in an initial as-blown configuration: a standing surface;a first wall;a first hinge having a first diameter to define a fixed axis of rotation positioned between said standing surface and said first wall, said first wall being selectivel
1. A base of a container formed by blow molding and comprising in an initial as-blown configuration: a standing surface;a first wall;a first hinge having a first diameter to define a fixed axis of rotation positioned between said standing surface and said first wall, said first wall being selectively rotatable about said first hinge relative to a longitudinal axis of the container between a first configuration extending away from an interior of the container and a second configuration extending toward the interior of the container;a second wall; anda second hinge having a second diameter positioned between said first wall and said second wall, the second hinge being concentric with and a fixed distance from the first hinge, said second wall being selectively rotatable about said second hinge relative to the longitudinal axis of the container between a first configuration extending away from an interior of the container and a second configuration extending toward the interior of the container, the second diameter being retained during selective rotation of the second wall about the second hinge. 2. The base of claim 1, further comprising: a convex annular wall adjacent to said standing surface. 3. The base of claim 1, wherein said second wall is adapted to receive a mechanical force or a pneumatic force during rotation of said first wall. 4. The base of claim 1, further comprising a section, wherein said section is adapted to receive a mechanical force or a pneumatic force during rotation of said second wall. 5. The base of claim 4, further comprising a third hinge positioned between said section and said second wall, wherein said section is selectively rotatable about said third hinge during said rotation of said second wall between a first configuration extending away from an interior of the container and a second configuration extending toward the interior of the container. 6. The base of claim 1, wherein both of said first wall and said second wall are blow molded in a position extending away from an interior of the container relative to the longitudinal axis. 7. The base of claim 1, wherein said first wall is configured to be rotated from its first configuration to its second configuration prior to hot-filling the container with a product. 8. The base of claim 1, wherein said second wall is configured to be rotated from its first configuration to its second configuration after hot-filling the container with a product. 9. The base of claim 1, wherein rotation of said second wall toward an interior of the container from its first configuration to its second configuration lowers a vacuum pressure within the container after hot-fill processing. 10. The base of claim 1, wherein said first wall and said second wall are frustoconical. 11. The base of claim 1, wherein the material in said initial as-blown configuration of said base is oriented such that rigidity of areas of said base surrounding said first and second hinges is increased, and wherein said increased rigidity of areas of said base surrounding said first and second hinges prevents substantial net distortion of said base during rotation of said second wall. 12. A container formed by blow molding, having a longitudinal axis and comprising in an initial as-blown configuration: an upper portion having an opening into an interior of the container;a neck portion connected to said upper portion;a body portion connected to said neck portion; anda base connected to said body, said base comprising: a standing surface;a first wall having a first configuration extending away from the interior of the container relative to the longitudinal axis and a second configuration extending toward the interior of the container;a first hinge having a first diameter to define a fixed axis of rotation positioned between said standing surface and said first wall, said first wall being selectively rotatable about said first hinge from the first configuration to the second configuration;a second wall having a first configuration extending away from the interior of the container relative to the longitudinal axis and a second configuration extending toward the interior of the container; anda second hinge having a second diameter positioned between said first wall and said second wall, the second hinge being concentric with and a fixed distance from the first hinge, said second wall being selectively rotatable about said second hinge from the first configuration to the second configuration, the second diameter being retained during selective rotation of the second wall about the second hinge. 13. The container of claim 12, wherein said base further comprises: a convex annular wall adjacent to said standing surface. 14. The container of claim 12, wherein said first wall and said second wall are asymmetric. 15. The container of claim 12, wherein said first hinge and said second hinge are asymmetric. 16. The container of claim 12, wherein said second wall of said base further comprises: a section adapted to receive a force for inverting of said second wall. 17. The container of claim 16, further comprising a third hinge positioned between said section and said second wall, wherein said section is selectively rotatable about said third hinge during said rotation of said second wall between a first configuration extending away from an interior of the container and a second configuration extending toward the interior of the container. 18. The container of claim 12, wherein the second wall is configured to be repositioned by selective rotation about the second hinge from the first configuration of the second wall to the second configuration of the second wall after the first wall has been repositioned by selective rotation about the first hinge from the first configuration of the first wall to the second configuration of the first wall. 19. The base of claim 1, said first wall being selectively rotatable about said first hinge from the first configuration of the first wall to the second configuration of the first wall without the second wall having been rotated and without rotating the second wall, and said second wall being selectively rotatable about said second hinge from the first configuration of the second wall to the second configuration of the second wall independently of rotating the first wall about the first hinge. 20. The container of claim 12, said first wall being selectively rotatable about said first hinge toward the interior of the container from the first configuration of the first wall to the second configuration of the first wall without the second wall having been rotated and without rotating the second wall, to place the container in a first stable standing configuration; and said second wall being selectively rotatable about said second hinge from the first configuration of the second wall to the second configuration of the second wall independently of rotating the first wall about the first hinge, to move the container from the first stable standing configuration to a second stable standing configuration. 21. The container of claim 12, wherein the material in said as-blown configuration of said base is oriented such that rigidity of areas of said base surrounding said first and second hinges is increased, and wherein said increased rigidity of areas of said base surrounding said first and second hinges prevents substantial net distortion of said base during inversion of said second wall.
