System and method for making requests on behalf of a mobile device based on atomic processes for mobile network traffic relief are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method for simulating traffic requests from a mobile device, which can be implemented on a system includes, predicting that a request is to be made by the mobile device, in advance of the request being sent to a destination by the mobile device and making the request, at an entity separate from the mobile device, on behalf of the mobile device to the destination. The entity can simulate the request and based on a traffic pattern of outgoing requests by an application on the mobile device.

A method for making requests on behalf of a mobile device, the method, comprising: detecting that a sequence of requests from the mobile device have a reproducible pattern;replicating the sequence of requests, at an entity distinct from the mobile device using the reproducible pattern;sending, by
1. A method for making requests on behalf of a mobile device, the method, comprising: detecting that a sequence of requests from the mobile device have a reproducible pattern;replicating the sequence of requests, at an entity distinct from the mobile device using the reproducible pattern;sending, by the entity, the sequence of requests on behalf of the mobile device to conserve resources at the mobile device;wherein, responses to the sequence of requests are provided to the mobile device. 2. The method of claim 1, further comprising, identifying a triggering event which causes initiation of the sequent of requests;wherein, the sequence of requests occur at predictable time frames relative to the triggering event. 3. The method of claim 2, further comprising, detecting occurrence of the triggering event at the mobile device;intercepting requests at the mobile device and preventing the requests from being sent from the mobile device. 4. The method of claim 2, further comprising, simulating the sequence of events at the entity;sending, by the entity, the sequence of requests on behalf of the mobile device. 5. The method of claim 3, wherein, the preventing the requests from being sent from the mobile device comprises preventing device radio of the mobile device from being powered on from an off state. 6. The method of claim 1, wherein, the entity is a proxy server able to communicate wirelessly with the mobile device;wherein, the proxy server sends the sequence of requests to one or more destinations over a non-cellular connection. 7. The method of claim 6, wherein, the reproducible pattern is detected by the proxy server. 8. The method of claim 6, wherein, the reproducible pattern is detected by a local proxy on the mobile device and communicated to the proxy server for replication;wherein, an atomic process is created from the sequence of events. 9. The method of claim 1, wherein, the reproducible pattern is detected from parameters in destination addresses addressed by the sequence of requests. 10. The method of claim 1, wherein, the reproducible pattern in the sequence of requests includes a reproducible timing pattern. 11. The method of claim 1, wherein, the reproducible pattern in the sequence of requests includes a reproducible periodicity pattern. 12. The method of claim 1, wherein, the sequence of requests are directed towards different addressable entities of a server of one application on the mobile device. 13. A method for simulating traffic requests from a mobile device, the method comprising: predicting that a request is to be made by the mobile device, in advance of the request being sent to a destination by the mobile device;wherein, the request is one of a sequence of requests detected as a traffic pattern for an application on the mobile device which is at least partly repeatable;making the request, at an entity separate from the mobile device, on behalf of the mobile device to the destination. 14. The method of claim 13, wherein, the sequence of requests are directed to different addressable entities identified by different destination addresses at the host server for the application. 15. The method of claim 13, wherein, the entity further simulates the request and the simulation is based on a traffic pattern of outgoing requests by an application on the mobile device;wherein, the destination is a host server for the application. 16. The method of claim 13, further comprising, creating or updating an application profile for the application using the traffic pattern. 17. The method of claim 16, further comprising, using the application profile to simulate traffic requests for other mobile devices having the same application. 18. The method of claim 13, further comprising, detecting sets of traffic patterns of outgoing requests, wherein, each set is detected for one of multiple applications on the mobile device. 19. The method of claim 18 further comprising, predicting requests to be made by multiple applications on the mobile device;making the requests, at the entity separate from the mobile device, on behalf of the mobile device to destinations associated with the multiple applications. 20. The method of claim 13, wherein, prediction of the request is made by a detection of a traffic pattern for prior outgoing requests from the mobile device. 21. The method of claim 20, wherein, the traffic pattern is characterized by timing of the prior out going requests or destination addresses of the prior out going requests. 22. The method of claim 20, further comprising, comparing destination addresses of the prior outgoing requests with one another to identify the traffic pattern. 23. The method of claim 20, wherein, the traffic pattern is identified from parameters in the destination addresses which indicate that the prior outgoing requests are directed to one server. 24. The method of claim 20, wherein, the traffic pattern is identified from parameters in the destination addresses which indicate that the prior outgoing requests are originate from a same application on the mobile device. 25. The method of claim 20, further comprising, comparing destination addresses of the prior outgoing requests for the application with a list of known addresses in identifying the traffic pattern. 26. The method of claim 13, wherein, the predicting includes a prediction of timing or destination address of the request. 27. The method of claim 13, further comprising, preventing the request from being sent by the mobile device for device battery conservation and network resource conservation; wherein, a response to the request sent by the entity on behalf of the mobile device, is sent to the mobile device from the destination. 28. A system for simulating traffic requests from a mobile device, the system comprising: a proxy server which predicts that a request is to be made by the mobile device, in advance of the request being sent to a destination by the mobile device;wherein, the proxy server makes the prediction of the request through detection of a traffic pattern for prior outgoing requests from the mobile device;wherein, the proxy server simulates the request and sends the request on behalf of the mobile device to a destination addressed by the request. 29. The system of claim 28, wherein, the request is originated by an application on the mobile device;wherein, the request is one of a sequence of requests detected for the application which is at least partly repeatable.
