The lighting fixture of claim 1, wherein the at least one rule specifics that the at least one sensor measures the at least one parameter relating to the environment illuminated by the lighting fixture at a specified time, on a periodic basis, and/or during a specified event. 3. The lighting fixture of claim 1, wherein the at least one rule specifies a compliance for power consumption of the lighting fixture. 4. The lighting fixture of claim 3, wherein the compliance for power consumption of the lighting fixture is based on at least one of pre-established lighting conditions, available energy, and energy pricing information. 5. The lighting fixture of claim 4, wherein the at least one sensor includes an ambient light sensor, and wherein the sensor data includes day-lighting conditions. 6. The lighting fixture of claim 3, wherein the power management module is further configured to analyze at least some of the sensor data to determine whether the power consumption is within the compliance specified by the at least one rule. 7. The lighting fixture of claim 1, wherein the at least one rule includes at least one parameter specified in a contract with a third party. 8. The lighting fixture of claim 1, wherein the at least one rule relates to an energy demand response parameter. 9. The lighting fixture of claim 1, wherein the at least one sensor is further configured to measure the at least one parameter relating to the environment illuminated by the lighting fixture in response to at least one trigger. 10. The lighting fixture of claim 9, wherein the at least one trigger includes at least one of detection of an emergency, a manual request, and a change in state of the lighting fixture. 11. The lighting fixture of claim 10, wherein the change in state includes a change in an energy demand parameter. 12. The lighting fixture of claim 10, wherein the change in state includes a change in a setting of the lighting fixture. 13. The lighting fixture of claim 10, wherein the at least one sensor is a first sensor and wherein the change in state includes a measurement by a second sensor. 14. The lighting fixture of claim 1, wherein the at least one sensor includes an occupancy sensor, and wherein the sensor data includes a binary input to the power management module to indicate a presence or an absence of at least one person and/or object. 15. The lighting fixture of claim 1, wherein the at least one sensor includes a temperature sensor. 16. The lighting fixture of claim 15, wherein the sensor data includes a representation of an ambient temperature. 17. The lighting fixture of claim 15, wherein the sensor data includes a representation of a temperature of a particular device of the lighting fixture. 18. The lighting fixture of claim 1, wherein the at least one sensor includes a photodetector to sense an ambient light level, and wherein the sensor data includes a representation of the ambient light level. 19. The lighting fixture of claim 1, wherein the at least one sensor includes a pressure sensor, and wherein the sensor data includes a representation of a pressure within tubing and/or ducting of the lighting fixture. 20. The lighting fixture of claim 1, wherein the at least one sensor includes a heat dissipation sensor, and wherein the sensor data includes a representation of a rate of heat dissipation within at least one of the plurality of LED light bars. 21. The lighting fixture of claim 1, wherein the at least one sensor includes a motion sensor, and wherein the sensor data includes a representation of motion within the environment illuminated by the lighting fixture. 22. The lighting fixture of claim 1, wherein the at least one sensor includes at least one recessed or ceiling-style occupancy sensor. 23. The lighting fixture of claim 1, wherein the at least one sensor includes at least one of: a thermal sensor;an occupancy sensor;an electromagnetic sensor;a mechanical sensor;a chemical sensor;an optical radiation sensor;an ionizing radiation sensor;an acoustic sensor;a biological sensor;a geodetic sensor;a light sensor;a force sensor;a humidity sensor;an air quality sensor;a camera;a payment sensor;a microphone;an RFID reader;a Hall-effect sensor; anda limit switch. 24. The lighting fixture of claim 1, wherein the at least one sensor is adapted to transmit an identification signal to the power management module. 25. The lighting fixture of claim 1, wherein the power management module provides power to the at least one sensor. 26. The lighting fixture of claim 1, further comprising at least one data conductor to provide bidirectional data communication between the at least one sensor and the power management module. 27. The lighting fixture of claim 1, wherein the power management module is further configured to analyze at least some of the sensor data so as to provide the variable sensor-based lighting at an active power output level of the plurality of light levels and/or an inactive power output level of the plurality of light levels. 28. The lighting fixture of claim 1, wherein the wired or wireless network interface is further configured to receive instructions for the power management module to regulate the variable sensor-based warehouse and industrial lighting based on the sensor data. 29. A lighting system, comprising: the lighting fixture of claim 1 or 28;and the management system. 30. A system comprising: the lighting fixture of claim 1; andthe at least one external source, wherein the at least one external source includes a management system communicatively coupled to the lighting fixture via the wired or wireless network interface, the management system further communicatively coupled to at least one other lighting fixture and/or at least one other device to communicate with and/or control the at least one other lighting fixture and/or the at least one other device. 31. A system comprising: at least one external source; anda lighting fixture to provide variable sensor-based lighting, the lighting fixture comprising: at least one sensor to provide sensor data representing at least one measurement of at least one parameter relating to an environment illuminated by the lighting fixture;a plurality of light emitting diode (LED) light bars to provide the variable sensor-based lighting at a plurality of light levels and/or a plurality of foot-candle patterns; anda power management module, operatively coupled to the at least one sensor and the plurality of LED light bars, to adjust the variable sensor-based lighting based at least in part on the sensor data provided by the at least one sensor;a memory, operatively coupled to the at least one sensor and/or to the power management module, to log at least some of the sensor data provided by the at least one sensor, wherein the at least one sensor is configured to measure the at least one parameter relating to the environment illuminated by the lighting fixture according to at least one rule; anda wired or wireless network interface operably coupled to the power management module, to transmit at least some of the sensor data to the at least one external source,wherein the at least one external source includes a management system communicatively coupled to the lighting fixture via the wired or wireless network interface, the management system further communicatively coupled to at least one other lighting fixture and/or at least one other device to communicate with and/or control the at least one other lighting fixture and/or the at least one other device, andwherein the management system is further configured to change a sensor delay within which signals from the at least one sensor are monitored and relayed to the power management module. 32. A system comprising: at least one external source; anda lighting fixture to provide variable sensor-based lighting, the lighting fixture comprising: at least one sensor to provide sensor data representing at least one measurement of at least one parameter relating to an environment illuminated by the lighting fixture;a plurality of light emitting diode (LED) light bars to provide the variable sensor-based lighting at a plurality of light levels and/or a plurality of foot-candle patterns; anda power management module, operatively coupled to the at least one sensor and the plurality of LED light bars, to adjust the variable sensor-based lighting based at least in part on the sensor data provided by the at least one sensor;a memory, operatively coupled to the at least one sensor and/or to the power management module, to log at least some of the sensor data provided by the at least one sensor, wherein the at least one sensor is configured to measure the at least one parameter relating to the environment illuminated by the lighting fixture according to at least one rule; anda wired or wireless network interface operably coupled to the power management module, to transmit at least some of the sensor data to at least one external source, wherein: the at least one external source includes a management system communicatively coupled to the lighting fixture via the wired or wireless network interface, the management system further communicatively coupled to at least one other lighting fixture and/or at least one other device to communicate with and/or control the at least one other lighting fixture and/or the at least one other device;a lighting environment in which the variable sensor-based lighting is generated includes a warehouse or industrial space; andthe management system is configured to compile the sensor data from the lighting fixture, and additional sensor data from the at least one other lighting fixture, to determine an optimal layout of the warehouse or industrial space. 33. The system of claim 30, wherein the management system comprises a warehouse inventory management system to monitor stock-keeping unit (SKU) inventory levels and/or to determine a layout for SKU placement. 34. The system of claim 30, further comprising: a radio-frequency identification (RFID) reader to track one or more RFID transceivers. 35. The system of claim 30, wherein the management system comprises a parking garage management system to provide at least one of parking spot identification, parking spot guidance, safety illumination, daylight harvesting, and tracking ingress and egress of pedestrians. 36. The system of claim 30, wherein the management system regulates heat, ventilation and air conditioning operations, and wherein the sensor data includes temperature information to facilitate regulation of the heat, ventilation and air conditioning operations. 37. A system comprising: at least one external source; anda lighting fixture to provide variable sensor-based lighting, the lighting fixture comprising: at least one sensor to provide sensor data representing at least one measurement of at least one parameter relating to an environment illuminated by the lighting fixture;a plurality of light emitting diode (LED) light bars to provide the variable sensor-based lighting at a plurality of light levels and/or a plurality of foot-candle patterns; anda power management module, operatively coupled to the at least one sensor and the plurality of LED light bars, to adjust the variable sensor-based lighting based at least in part on the sensor data provided by the at least one sensor;a memory, operatively coupled to the at least one sensor and/or to the power management module, to log at least some of the sensor data provided by the at least one sensor, wherein the at least one sensor is configured to measure the at least one parameter relating to the environment illuminated by the lighting fixture according to at least one rule; anda wired or wireless network interface operably coupled to the power management module, to transmit at least some of the sensor data to at least one external source, and wherein the at least one external source includes a management system communicatively coupled to the lighting fixture via the wired or wireless network interface, the management system further communicatively coupled to at least one other lighting fixture and/or at least one other device to communicate with and/or control the at least one other lighting fixture and/or the at least one other device, andthe management system comprises a security system to limit access to authorized personnel based on at least some of the sensor data logged in the memory. 38. The system of claim 37, wherein the at least one sensor includes an integrated radio-frequency identification (RFID) reader to provide sensor data, to the security system, that facilitates limiting access to the authorized personnel. 39. The system of claim 30, further comprising: a remote sensor communicatively coupled to at least one of the lighting fixture, the management system, the at least one other lighting fixture, and the at least one other device, the remote sensor configured to provide additional sensor data relating to objects and/or lighting conditions in the environment illuminated by the lighting fixture. 40. The system of claim 39, wherein the power management module is further configured to adjust the variable sensor-based lighting based on the additional sensor data provided by the remote sensor. 41. The lighting fixture of claim 1, further comprising a control panel operably coupled to the power management module for setting various states of operations performed by the power management module. 42. A lighting fixture to provide variable sensor-based lighting, the lighting fixture comprising: at least one sensor to provide sensor data representing at least one measurement of at least one parameter relating to an environment illuminated by the lighting fixture;a plurality of light emitting diode (LED) light bars to provide the variable sensor-based lighting at a plurality of light levels and/or a plurality of foot-candle patterns;a power management module, operatively coupled to the at least one sensor and the plurality of LED light bars, to adjust the variable sensor-based lighting based at least in part on the sensor data provided by the at least one sensor;a memory, operatively coupled to the at least one sensor and/or to the power management module, to log at least some of the sensor data provided by the at least one sensor, wherein the at least one sensor is configured to measure the at least one parameter relating to the environment illuminated by the lighting fixture according to at least one rule; anda control panel operably coupled to the power management module for setting various states of operations performed by the power management module, wherein the control panel enables a user to set a sensor delay within which signals from the at least one sensor are monitored and relayed to the power management module. 43. The lighting fixture of claim 41, wherein the control panel enables a user to download the sensor data stored in the memory. 44. The lighting fixture of claim 1, further comprising a housing formed as a frame with the plurality of LED light bars and the power management module disposed therein, the housing further includes an integral sensor bay, and wherein the at least one sensor is disposed in the integral sensor bay. 45. A lighting fixture to provide variable sensor-based lighting, the lighting fixture comprising: at least one sensor to provide sensor data representing at least one measurement of at least one parameter relating to an environment illuminated by the lighting fixture;a plurality of light emitting diode (LED) light bars to provide the variable sensor-based lighting at a plurality of light levels and/or a plurality of foot-candle patterns;a power management module, operatively coupled to the at least one sensor and the plurality of LED light bars, to adjust the variable sensor-based lighting based at least in part on the sensor data provided by the at least one sensor;a memory, operatively coupled to the at least one sensor and/or to the power management module, to log at least some of the sensor data provided by the at least one sensor, wherein the at least one sensor is configured to measure the at least one parameter relating to the environment illuminated by the lighting fixture according to at least one rule; and a housing formed as a frame with the plurality of LED light bars and the power management module disposed therein, the housing further includes an integral sensor bay, and wherein the at least one sensor is disposed in the integral sensor bay, wherein the at least one sensor is disposed within a sensor module in the integral sensor bay, and wherein the sensor module comprises: a sensor module lens disposed along a bottom plane of the fixture to achieve a maximum of sensor input angles. 46. A lighting fixture to provide variable sensor-based lighting, the lighting fixture comprising: at least one sensor to provide sensor data representing at least one measurement of at least one parameter relating to an environment illuminated by the lighting fixture;a plurality of light emitting diode (LED) light bars to provide the variable sensor-based lighting at a plurality of light levels and/or a plurality of foot-candle patterns;a power management module, operatively coupled to the at least one sensor and the plurality of LED light bars, to adjust the variable sensor-based lighting based at least in part on the sensor data provided by the at least one sensor;a memory, operatively coupled to the at least one sensor and/or to the power management module, to log at least some of the sensor data provided by the at least one sensor, wherein the at least one sensor is configured to measure the at least one parameter relating to the environment illuminated by the lighting fixture according to at least one rule; and a housing formed as a frame with the plurality of LED light bars and the power management module disposed therein, the housing further includes an integral sensor bay, and wherein the at least one sensor is disposed in the integral sensor bay, wherein each LED light bar is arranged to rotate in the frame around a corresponding rotational axis to emit light in a specific direction.
