The lawn mower of claim 1, wherein the control unit is configured to automatically implement the second operating condition when a load on the motor/generator exceeds a predetermined load. 6. The lawn mower of claim 5, wherein, in the second operating condition, power from the motor/generator is provided to the mower blade. 7.
