The firing unit assembly of claim 1, wherein at least one of the initiation device and the electronics assembly is electrically connected to one of the first electrical interface and the second electrical interface by a stripline cable. 3. The firing unit assembly of claim 2, wherein the stripline cable is removably connected to the at least one of the initiation device and the electronics assembly and is permanently connected to the other of the initiation device and the electronics assembly. 4. The firing unit assembly of claim 2, wherein the stripline cable is configured to transmit a firing pulse without significant degradation of the firing pulse. 5. The firing unit assembly of claim 2, wherein an inductance of the stripline cable is 50 nH or less. 6. The firing unit assembly of claim 2, wherein a length of the stripline cable is between 2 inches (5.08 cm) and 36 inches (91.44 cm). 7. The firing unit assembly of claim 1, wherein the second housing forms a hermetic seal around the first housing when the first housing is received therein, the first electrical interface and the second electrical interface being disposed within the hermetic seal. 8. The firing unit assembly of claim 1, wherein one of the first electrical interface and the second electrical interface comprises a stripline male interface and the other of the first electrical interface and the second electrical interface comprises a female spring-loaded interface, the stripline male interface being at least partially received within and contacting the female spring-loaded interface when the portion of the first housing of the first mating connector is received within the second housing of the second mating connector. 9. The firing unit assembly of claim 8, wherein a pair of dielectric rails flanks the stripline male interface and is configured to receive the female spring-loaded interface between the pair of dielectric rails. 10. The firing unit assembly of claim 1, further comprising a contact ring disposed in at least one of the first housing and the second housing grounding the at least one of the first housing and the second housing to the other of the first housing and the second housing. 11. The firing unit assembly of claim 1, wherein the first housing comprises a first threaded connection portion and the second housing comprises a second threaded connection portion configured to cooperatively engage with the first threaded connection portion of the first housing. 12. The firing unit assembly of claim 1, further comprising a connection cable comprising: a third mating connector at a first end of the connection cable configured for connection to the second mating connector and comprising a third housing and a third electrical interface disposed at least partially within a third recess defined by a portion of the third housing;a fourth mating connector at a second, opposing end of the connection cable configured for connection to the first mating connector and comprising a fourth housing and a fourth electrical interface disposed at least partially within a fourth recess defined by a portion of the fourth housing; anda stripline cable electrically connecting the third mating connector to the fourth mating connector, wherein the second housing of the second mating connector is configured to receive a portion of the third housing of the third mating connector therein, and wherein the fourth housing of the fourth mating connector is configured to receive a portion of the first housing of the first mating connector therein. 13. The firing unit assembly of claim 12, wherein one of the first electrical interface and the third electrical interface comprises a stripline male interface and the other of the first electrical interface and the third electrical interface comprises a female spring-loaded interface and wherein one of the second electrical interface and the fourth electrical interface comprises a stripline male interface and the other of the second electrical interface and the fourth electrical interface comprises a female spring-loaded interface, the stripline male interfaces being at least partially received within and contacting the female spring-loaded interfaces to form electrical connections. 14. The firing unit assembly of claim 12, wherein the second housing forms a seal around the third housing and the fourth housing forms a seal around the first housing, the second and third electrical interfaces and the first and fourth electrical interfaces being disposed within respective seals. 15. The firing unit assembly of claim 14, wherein one of the first electrical interface and the second electrical interface comprises at least one socket and the other of the first electrical interface and the second electrical interface comprises at least one pin, the at least one pin being at least partially received within and contacting the at least one socket when the portion of the first housing of the first mating connector is received within the second housing of the second mating connector. 16. The firing unit assembly of claim 1, wherein a distance between the initiation device and the electronics assembly is between 6 inches (15.24 cm) and 24 inches (60.96 cm). 17. The firing unit assembly of claim 1, wherein the first electrical interface comprises a first contacting portion configured to physically contact and form an electrical connection with a second contacting portion of the second electrical interface, and wherein the first contacting portion is at least partially disposed within the first recess defined by a portion of the first housing and the second contacting portion is at least partially disposed within the second recess defined by a portion of the second housing. 18. The firing unit assembly of claim 1, wherein the portion of the first housing of the first mating connector comprises a first housing member and a second housing member forming a space therebetween, and wherein an additional housing member of the second housing of the second mating connector is received in the space when the first and second mating connectors are cooperatively engaged. 19. The firing unit assembly of claim 18, wherein the first housing member of the first housing at least partially surrounds the additional housing member of the second housing when the first mating connector and the second mating connector are cooperatively engaged. 20. A separable firing unit assembly, comprising: an initiation device configured to ignite a material and comprising a first mating connector comprising a first housing and a first electrical interface disposed at least partially within a first recess defined by a portion of the first housing; andan electronics assembly configured to transmit a firing pulse to the initiation device and comprising a second mating connector configured for removable connection to the first mating connector, the second mating connector comprising a second housing and a second electrical interface disposed at least partially within a second recess defined by a portion of the second housing, wherein the first mating connector of the initiation device and the second mating connector of the electronics assembly are configured to form an electrical connection between the first electrical interface and the second electrical interface when a portion of the first mating connector is cooperatively engaged with a portion of the second mating connector, wherein the first electrical interface comprises a first contacting portion configured to physically contact and form an electrical connection with a second contacting portion of the second electrical interface, wherein the first contacting portion is at least partially disposed within the first recess defined by a portion of the first housing, and wherein the second contacting portion is at least partially disposed within the second recess defined by the portion of the second housing. 21. The firing unit assembly of claim 20, further comprising stripline cable configured to form an electrical connection between the first electrical interface and the second electrical interface, the stripline cable comprising: a third mating connector on a first end of a stripline cable configured to connect the first mating connector; anda fourth mating connector on a second, opposing end of a stripline cable configured to connect the second mating connector. 22. A separable firing unit assembly, comprising: an initiation device configured to ignite a material and comprising a first mating connector comprising: a first housing;a first electrical interface disposed in a first interface recess at least partially defined by an interior surface of a first housing member of the first housing; anda second housing member of the first housing at least partially surrounding the first member, wherein the first housing member and the second housing member form an annular recess therebetween; andan electronics assembly configured to transmit a firing pulse to the initiation device and comprising a second mating connector configured for removable connection to the first mating connector, the second mating connector comprising: a second housing; anda second electrical interface disposed in a second interface recess at least partially defined by an interior surface of an additional housing member of the second housing;wherein the additional housing member of the second housing is received within the annular recess of the first housing when the first mating connector and the second mating connector are cooperatively engaged. 23. The firing unit assembly of claim 22, wherein the second housing further comprises an outer member, the outer member at least partially surrounding the additional housing member of the second housing and forming a substantially annular recess between the outer member and the additional housing member, the substantially annular recess receiving the first housing member of the first housing when the first mating connector and the second mating connector are cooperatively engaged. 24. The firing unit assembly of claim 23, wherein the outer member of the second housing and the first housing member of the first housing comprise complementary engagement features configured to retain the first mating connector and the second mating connector in cooperative engagement. 25. The firing unit assembly of claim 22, wherein the first electrical interface comprises a first contacting portion configured to physically contact and foam an electrical connection with a second contacting portion of the second electrical interface, and wherein the first contacting portion is disposed within the first interface recess and the second contacting portion is disposed within the second interface recess.
