The mask assembly according to claim 1, wherein the first edge and the second edge are joined to a portion of the forehead support assembly in a congruous, smooth manner. 8. The mask assembly according to claim 1, wherein the first edge and the second edge both include a radiussed curvature. 9. The mask assembly according to claim 1, wherein the cushion is one of a nasal cushion or full face cushion. 10. The mask assembly according to claim 1, wherein the neck comprises a wall comprising the first edge and the second edge. 11. The mask assembly according to claim 10, wherein the wall has a thickness of about 1 mm-5 mm. 12. The mask assembly according to claim 11, wherein the thickness is about 2.5 mm. 13. The mask assembly according to claim 10, wherein the profile thickness of the neck is substantially larger than a thickness of the wall. 14. The mask assembly according to claim 1, wherein a longitudinal length of the neck is substantially larger than a width of the neck as seen in front view. 15. The mask assembly according to claim 1, wherein lower ends of a front edge and a rear edge of the neck converge towards one another in an upward direction as seen in side view. 16. The mask assembly according to claim 15, wherein the front edge and the rear edge converge upwards from the apex of the cushion. 17. The mask assembly according to claim 15, wherein at least a portion of the front edge includes a radiussed curvature. 18. The mask assembly according to claim 1, wherein the vent includes 20-60 holes. 19. The mask assembly according to claim 1, wherein each vent hole converges from an inside of the vent to an outside of the vent such that an exit diameter of the hole is smaller than an inlet diameter of the hole. 20.
