The dressing of claim 1, wherein the one or more light sources configured to emit light that facilitates release of nitric oxide from at least some of the one or more photolyzable nitric oxide donors comprises: one or more light sources configured to emit visible light that facilitates release of nitric oxide from at least some of the one or more photolyzable nitric oxide donors. 8. The dressing of claim 1, wherein the one or more light sources configured to emit light that facilitates release of nitric oxide from at least some of the one or more photolyzable nitric oxide donors comprises: one or more light sources configured to emit infrared light that facilitates release of nitric oxide from at least some of the one or more photolyzable nitric oxide donors. 9. The dressing of claim 1, further comprising: one or more receivers. 10. The dressing of claim 1, further comprising: one or more transmitters. 11. The dressing of claim 1, wherein the at least one control unit configured to operate at least some of the one or more light sources that are configured to emit light that facilitates release of nitric oxide from at least some of the one or more photolyzable nitric oxide donors comprises: at least one control unit configured to regulate at least some of the one or more light sources that are configured to emit light that facilitates release of nitric oxide from at least some of the one or more photolyzable nitric oxide donors. 12. The dressing of claim 1, wherein the at least one control unit configured to operate at least some of the one or more light sources that are configured to emit light that facilitates release of nitric oxide from at least some of the one or more photolyzable nitric oxide donors comprises: at least one control unit configured to regulate in response to one or more programs at least some of the one or more light sources that are configured to emit light that facilitates release of nitric oxide from at least some of the one or more photolyzable nitric oxide donors. 13. The dressing of claim 1, wherein the at least one control unit configured to operate at least some of the one or more light sources that are configured to emit light that facilitates release of nitric oxide from at least some of the one or more photolyzable nitric oxide donors comprises: at least one control unit configured to regulate in response to one or more commands at least some of the one or more light sources that are configured to emit light that facilitates release of nitric oxide from at least some of the one or more photolyzable nitric oxide donors. 14. The dressing of claim 1, further comprising: one or more sensors. 15. The dressing of claim 14, wherein the one or more sensors comprises: one or more sensors configured to detect temperature. 16. The dressing of claim 14, wherein the one or more sensors comprises: one or more sensors configured to detect hydrostatic pressure. 17. The dressing of claim 14, wherein the one or more sensors comprises: one or more sensors configured to detect one or more microbes. 18. The dressing of claim 14, wherein the one or more sensors comprises: one or more sensors configured to detect nitric oxide. 19. The dressing of claim 1, wherein the at least one control unit configured to operate at least some of the one or more light sources that are configured to emit light that facilitates release of nitric oxide from at least some of the one or more photolyzable nitric oxide donors comprises: at least one control unit configured to regulate at least one of intensity, pulse rate, wavelength, and/or timing of light emitted from at least some of the one or more light sources. 30. The dressing of claim 1, wherein the at least one control unit configured to operate at least some of the one or more light sources that are configured to emit light that facilitates release of nitric oxide from at least some of the one or more photolyzable nitric oxide donors comprises: at least one control unit configured to regulate in response to one or more timers at least some of the one or more light sources that are configured to emit light that facilitates release of nitric oxide from at least some of the one or more photolyzable nitric oxide donors. 31. The dressing of claim 1, further comprising: at least one backing sheet. 32. The dressing of claim 31, wherein the at least one backing sheet comprises: at least one backing sheet that includes one or more adhesive portions. 33. The dressing of claim 31, wherein the at least one backing sheet comprises: at least one flexible backing sheet. 34. The dressing of claim 31, wherein the at least one backing sheet comprises: at least one inflexible backing sheet. 35. The dressing of claim 31, wherein the at least one backing sheet comprises: at least one of the following types of backing sheets: film, foam, fabric, perforated, fluid impermeable, gas impermeable, vapor impermeable, light impermeable, metallic, non-metallic, hydrophobic, hydrophilic, woven, non-woven, opaque, translucent, transparent, and/or polymeric. 36. The dressing of claim 1, further comprising: at least one nitric oxide permeable layer. 37.
