The membrane unit (12) comprises a porous substrate (20), a dense membrane (14) and at least one electrode (18), wherein the porous substrate (20) is directed towards the electrode unit (24), and wherein the electrode unit (24) comprises at least one electrode comprising at least one rotatable electrode wing (26) being at least partially electrically conductive. An arrangement according to the invention allows to separate oxygen with improved efficiency and improved convenience with respect to maintenance and noise.

Arrangement according to claim 1, wherein a cover layer (50, 50′) is arranged on one or both sides of the substrate (20). 7. Arrangement according to claim 6, wherein a barrier layer (52) is provided between the membrane (14) and the cover layer (50). 8. Arrangement according to claim 1, wherein an air blower (30) is provided upstream the membrane unit (12). 9. Arrangement according to claim 1, wherein a cooling device (42) is provided downstream the membrane unit (12). 11. Method for separating oxygen from an oxygen containing gas, the method comprising the steps of: providing an arrangement (10) according to claim 1, the electrode unit (24) being in fluid communication to an oxygen containing gas,rotating the at least one rotatable electrode wing (26), andapplying a voltage to the electrode (18), of the membrane unit, and to the at least one rotatable electrode wing (26) to generate a plasma in the pores (22) of the porous substrate (20). 12. Method according to claim 11, wherein a power of ≧100 W to ≦350 W is used for generating the plasma. 13. Method according to claim 11, wherein an oxygen flux of ≧1 liter per minute is used.
