The liquid injection system can be actuated to inject liquid to various radial regions of an air intake case of the turbine power plant. During a stage one actuation, liquid is directed to a first radial region of the air intake case. During a stage two actuation, liquid is directed to the first radial region and also to a second radial region of the air intake case.

A method of injecting liquid into an air intake case of a turbine power plant, said method comprising: selecting among injection options including a stage one actuation, a stage two actuation, a stage three actuation, and a stage four actuation;wherein, during a stage one actuation, liquid is directed to a first annular region of said air intake case, concentrically aligned with an operating axis of said turbine; during a stage two actuation, liquid is directed to the first annular region and also to a second annular region of said air intake case concentrically aligned with said operating axis; during a stage three actuation, liquid is directed to the first and second annular regions and to a third annular region distinct from either of the first or second annular regions; and, during a stage four actuation, liquid is directed to the third annular region and to a fourth annular region. 2. A method as defined in claim 1, wherein the first and second annular regions are non-overlapping. 3. A method as defined in claim 1, further comprising selectively varying the pressure of liquid flow. 4. A method as defined in claim 3, further comprising increasing the flow of liquid to full strength at one of the annular regions. 5. A method as defined in claim 1, further comprising orienting a flow of liquid in at least one annular region to spray toward an inlet of the air intake case. 6. A method as defined in claim 1, further comprising orienting a flow of liquid in at least one annular region to spray away from an inlet of the air intake case. 7. A method as defined in claim 1, further comprising orienting a flow of liquid in at least one annular region to spray toward the hub of the air intake case. 8. A method as defined in claim 1, further comprising orienting a flow of liquid in at least one annular region to spray away from the hub of the air intake case. 9. A method of injecting liquid into an air intake case of a turbine power plant, said method comprising: selecting among injection options including a stage one actuation, a stage two actuation, a stage three actuation, and a stage four actuation;wherein, during a stage one actuation, liquid is directed to a first annular region of said air intake case, concentrically aligned with an operating axis of said turbine;during a stage two actuation, liquid is directed to the first annular region and also to a second annular region of said air intake case concentrically aligned with said operating axis; during a stage three actuation, liquid is directed to the first and second annular regions and to a third annular region distinct from either of the first or second annular regions; and, during a stage four actuation a flow of liquid to at least the first, second, and third annular regions is increased to full strength. 10. A method of injecting liquid into an air intake case of a turbine power plant, said method comprising: selecting among injection options including no actuation, a stage one actuation, a stage two actuation, a combined actuation, a stage three actuation, and a stage four actuation;wherein, during a stage one actuation, liquid is directed to a first annular region of said air intake case, concentrically aligned with an operating axis of said turbine; during a stage two actuation, liquid is directed to a second annular region of said air intake case distinct from and concentrically aligned with the first annular region; during a combined actuation, liquid is directed to each of the first and second annular regions of said air intake case; during a stage three actuation, liquid is directed to the first and second annular regions and to at least a third annular region distinct from either of the first or second annular regions; and during a stage four actuation a flow of liquid to the first, second, and third annular regions is increased to full strength. 11. A method as defined in claim 10, wherein the first and second annular regions are non-overlapping. 12. A method as defined in claim 10, wherein, during the stage three actuation, liquid is directed also to a fourth annular region. 13. A method as defined in claim 10, further comprising selectively varying the pressure of liquid flow. 14. A method as defined in claim 13, further comprising increasing the flow of liquid to full strength in one of the annular regions. 15. A method as defined in claim 10, further comprising orienting the liquid flow in at least one of the annular regions to spray in a predetermined direction.
