A patient interface device for delivering pressurized breathable gas to an entrance of a patient's airways during sleep, at a pressure elevated above atmospheric pressure in a range of 4 to 20 cm H2O, the patient interface device comprising: a frame having a main body and a side frame member provided on each lateral side of the main body, each side frame member including a first connector portion, said frame having a central aperture;a cushion repeatedly attachable to and detachable from the frame, the cushion being adapted to deliver said pressurized breathable gas to the patient's airways;an elbow rotatably connected to the frame at the aperture; anda headgear assembly removably attachable to the frame, the headgear assembly having a second connector portion adapted to be removably coupled with the first connector portion,wherein one of the first connector portion and the second connector portion includes at least one tooth and the other of the first connector portion and the second connector portion includes a plurality of teeth configured for rotationally locking engagement with the at least one tooth in a plurality of different rotationally locked positions in which the first and second connector portions may not rotate relative to one another, such that the headgear assembly is rotationally adjustable with respect to the frame. 5. The patient interface device according to claim 4, wherein the cushion comprises nasal pillows. 6. The patient interface device according to claim 4, wherein the headgear assembly comprises: a strap assembly including at least one flexible strap having a relatively soft fabric and foam material construction, anda yoke made of a relatively rigid material compared to the flexible strap and having a degree of flexibility in a first direction such that variations in patient physiology can be accommodated in use, wherein the patient interface device is not provided with a forehead support. 7. The patient interface device according to claim 6, wherein the yoke is stiffer in a second direction generally orthogonal to the first direction to resist vertical rotation due to the weight of the patient interface device and/or of components attached to the patient interface device. 8. The patient interface device according to claim 6, wherein a top end of the yoke includes a connector element adapted to connect with the strap assembly. 9. The patient interface device according to claim 4, wherein the elbow is configured to be removed from the frame without accessing an interior portion of the frame. 10. The patient interface device according to claim 9, wherein full engagement between the elbow and the frame makes an audible sound. 11. The patient interface device according to claim 6, wherein the yoke and the second connector portion comprise a single, unitary piece. 12. The patient interface device according to claim 4, wherein the tooth and the teeth are arranged so that when a predetermined torque is applied, rotation between the first and second connector portions is automatically allowed, until the torque is removed and the tooth and the teeth re-engage one another in one of the rotationally locked positions. 13. The patient interface device according to claim 4, further comprising a retaining arrangement to retain the first and second connector portions engaged with one another whilst allowing rotational movement between said plurality of rotationally locked positions, said retaining arrangement including a retaining flange that is insertable into a mounting flange, after which the first and second connector portions are rotatable to allow a retaining tab of the retaining flange to engage an inside surface of the mounting flange. 14. The patient interface device of claim 13, wherein the first and second connector portions can only be removed when the retaining tab and the mounting flange assume a predetermined removal position that is not one of the rotationally locked positions. 15. The patient interface device of claim 14, wherein the predetermined removal position is selected such that it would does not occur when the patient interface device is in normal use; to prevent inadvertent detachment. 16. A patient interface device for delivering pressurized breathable gas to an entrance of a patient's airways during sleep, at a pressure elevated above atmospheric pressure, the patient interface device comprising: a frame having a central aperture;a cushion repeatedly attachable to and detachable from the frame, the cushion being adapted to deliver said pressurized breathable gas to the patient's airways;an elbow rotatably connected to the frame at the aperture, the elbow including a plurality of openings to allow for escape of CO2 gas exhaled by the patient;a headgear assembly having at least one flexible strap and a yoke attached to the strap, the yoke being removably attachable to the frame; anda toothed adjustment arrangement to allow rotational locking engagement between the yoke and the frame in a plurality of different rotationally locked positions, such that the cushion is rotationally adjustable relative to the patient's face in use. 17. The patient interface device according to claim 16, wherein the at least one flexible strap has a relatively soft fabric and foam material construction, and wherein the yoke comprises a relatively rigid material compared to the flexible strap, the yoke having a degree of flexibility in a first direction such that variations in patient physiology can be accommodated in use, wherein the patient interface device is not provided with a forehead support. 18. The patient interface device according to claim 17, wherein the yoke is stiffer in a second direction generally orthogonal to the first direction to resist vertical rotation due to the weight of the patient interface device and/or of components attached to the patient interface device. 19. The patient interface device according to claim 18, wherein a top end of the yoke includes a connector element adapted to connect with the headgear assembly. 20. The patient interface device according to claim 19, wherein the frame includes a first connector portion and the yoke includes a second connector portion that is rotationally engagable with the first connector portion. 21. The patient interface device according to claim 20, wherein teeth of the toothed adjustment arrangement are arranged so that when a predetermined torque is applied, rotation between the first and second connector portions is automatically allowed, until the torque is removed and the teeth re-engage one another. 22. The patient interface device according to claim 21, further comprising a retaining arrangement to retain the first and second connector portions engaged with one another whilst allowing rotational movement between said plurality of rotationally locked positions, said retaining arrangement including a retaining flange that is insertable into a mounting flange, after which the first and second connector portions are rotatable to allow a retaining tab of the retaining flange to engage an inside surface of the mounting flange. 23.
